Is the CRIT stat on the standing thread crits dealt, crits received, or both?

Hmmm good point. That is crit's dealt. I will actually be using spreadsheet links since it turns out trying to align everything properly is a huge pain in the butt there. I'll take a screen cap of them each week and provide a link.

It will probably have any significance if a battle is determined by that crit. The auth are quite experienced in the ways of combat, so they can judge whether the crit was detrimental or not, based of course on general performance.

I can name certain exceptions in which the "hax" factor is to be expected, thus part of the strategy, thus not really hax, but based on statistics:
Crit-Dra

T-wave & Air Slash / Iron Head (Togekiss and Jirachi... ahem! KAMINA)

Venomoth shenanigans

I'd put the flinch factor in the same category as crits. Now I know that it is a standard probability, much higher than the random crit, but I cannot overlook that it can be detrimental for a match, and since their chances are pretty low (like getting a spD decrease with focus blast, to present an example), they could count as hax.

For example, getting hit by the Fake out from M-Lopunny with 100% chance is no big deal. You can expect and prepare accordingly. The possible sweep won't be based on that in 99.9_% of the situations.

Getting a flinch, however, from a Waterfall, may it be from M-Gyarados or Azumaril, could end the match, as both are fantastic in wallbreaking and sweeping. While the flinch is not the major treat (thus not belonging to the upper 3 cases) it can finish a match abruptly, and turn the tables.

Just my 2cents

After bodying Jelly, Moony holds a slight edge over fellow 1-0 competitor AuthorReborn statistically - with 6 Pokemon left standing as opposed to AR's 3. Both came out of their battles without much getting in their way RNG-wise.

I don't compete again until Week 3, which makes me look forward getting destroyed by Moony lol.

Don't let losses get to you Vince. As a host, I can safely tell you that for most competitors

this -IS- the preparation. Just keep grinding it out and don't forget to have fun. The moment you start making it a job and not a game is the moment you've lost.
