0 Lord Drakyle
it depends on what you think of as a 'good' water type, I wouldn't be able to make any suggestions without knowing what you ideally look for in a water type, also I notice you are new and if you haven't already should introduce yourself at the grand hallMany Pokémon we start learning to use in Pokémon Reborn, we usually would ignore them, they get used because we haven't got much options and we find that they are actually decent Pokémon. 0 Lord Drakyle
Xellon (episode 15 spoiler relating to quest) you trade a Growlithe Egg as of Ep
0 grimjaww
Normally, i prefer my water type to be more of a special attacker which was why i'm hesitant to use sharpedo even though speed boost. i got a panpour, but im not sure i want to train it up. 0 dragoniteborntacoz
i nomally just get a temporary water type to use HMs till i get to one i want but i really should start using some different pokemon to try them out as for good water types you can get ummmm well theres squirtal a little bit later i normally use clawitzer as my main water type so i dont know about the rest Edited June 11, 2015 by dragoniteborntacoz
0 ArthurZH
Panpour's Scald would help in some scenarios......but it's not that bad of an option until you get Vaporeon/Clauncher/Remoraid/LaprasAlso, Swanna/Ludicolo are really good

0 friebz
Sadly Mudkip is no longer available :-( but Squirtle is available in place of Mudkip for E15.
0 Chilibunny
Squirtle as itself isn't that good, but oh boy if you have the energy to reset for a shiny one. It's almost as if the TMNT Squirtle had an increase of 100 in each of it's base stats. It's that badass.
0 Red_Chaos
seaking/Goldeen is usually my water suppport, which isn't to bad after it learns waterfall
0 pyroice
Well, you can also do the Magma Gang sidequest and get a buizel, but then again, Idk what you think it's a good water type. Imo, buizel is pretty good. OR finish the Aqua Gang sidequest and get a carvanha. Edited June 11, 2015 by pyroice
0 Etesian
The currently best obtainable Water types (IMO) are Gorebyss, Huntail and Feraligatr, although all are late game, so it'd be a while until you go to those.
0 Juicy
Good special attacking water pokemon are rather strong and so aren't introduced near the beginning (or at all yet), though if you're ok with physical ones sounds like you'll be able to find palpitoad or barboach soon.. 0 CURIE
Squirtle as itself isn't that good Tell that to the Charizard and Venasaur from Death Battle. Oh wait you can't because they're dead.
0 Knight_Teutonic
Squirtle as itself isn't that good HERESY! Blastoise is actually a very good special attacker, it's also bulky and decently fast. The only thing lacking is a diverse movepool.

Well, 85 base Sp.Atk realyl is nothing special and it's move pool is very limited. The only thing it gets over other Water types is Flash Cannon, which it can't even use well. The only thing it gets over other Water types is Flash Cannon, which it can't even use well. If you have a modest nature with good IVs and EVs it still doesn't disappoint. If you also manage to get one with Mirror Coat (which was my case), you can defeat El's ditto arceus and PULSE-swalot with ease. Remember this is not a competitive metagame. We're talking about dealing with the AI, and blastoise is good at that. Edited June 11, 2015 by Knight_Teutonic

0 Vinny
How about Gyarad--... oh. I'll agree with Etesian that some of the best water types, are a bit far in the game. Sharpedo might be able to hold the fort for now, imo. EDIT: FORGOT THAT KINGDRA IS NOT BAD LATER TOO \o/ Edited June 12, 2015 by Vinny

Don't forget Clawitzer...in a Trick Room team it will decimated your enemies... But yeah, you are gonna have to wait until Agate Cicus
0 ShadowStar
Clawitzer would be cool. I don't see many people using it in their games~
