Ramiru Posted October 8, 2016 Share Posted October 8, 2016 If Foamy was right about the three blurred-out names on the relationship variable picture being Eve, Lumi, and Taka, I think it'd be Zero saying goodbye. After they unfuse, maybe Eve and/or Lumi do something to him for being the reason they fused together (although neither seems like the type to do that), or maybe he just runs away, or betrays Team Meteor for Eve and Lumi. I think every character listed on the relationship variable table picture is safe (which IIRC is everyone except Ame, Lin, Solaris, Sirius, Corey, Kiki, and presumably Zero). I remember it being said we'd be able to do sidequests with those characters depending on the variables (and that we'd still get to do them even with low variables, we'd just have to work harder) and I imagine those will be really late game and/or postgame. So I don't think we'd be saying goodbye in any way, shape, or form to one of those. Where is this "relationship variable table" I assume it's basically a chart of your positive and negative relationships with the different characters, but I have yet to see it. Also there's something I've been curious about regarding the relationship values since they were first reveled, and that I'd like to hear other opinions on. So I don't think Ame talked about this when she first showed us the relationship values chart, but I just might not remember ( that tends to happen a lot with me ). Are the numbers shown the max/min values for each character, or are they just random examples of what someone could have. Like for instance Titania, her values are +5/-8. Does this mean that your maximum relationship value with Titania is 5, or does it mean that there are 13 point giving interactions with her and in this example the player made 5 good decisions and 8 bad decisions, and that hypothetically your values with Titania could be +13/0? Also the table shows the max and the min values. Some of your choices may produce only positive or only negative marks for each character you see with unequal distribution. An example to that may be Titania who would love it if you gave her an Ice Cream Sand Witch, but wouldn't exactly hold a grudge if you didn't have one on you at the time. This also means that some choices may matter more than others (positive +1, negative -3, doing something negative during battle -1). Tracing what choice improves which relationship may be a little tricky, as we've discussed in the past, because remote choices like saving a certain Nidorina may improve your relationship with Cain, or burning a certain field may reduce your points with an orphan or two. The program this is from keeps track of the number of lines of text; it's not inherently a list, and it's more likely there's just a blank line at the top of the file. The first line of any section is called a class which nobody but coders and game makers really care about. Judging from the way it's written, these values alone mean absolutely nothing so there's likely a bit more code below regardless. Does this list mean all the characters listed are safe though? Honestly, you'd have to be kidding with yourself as someone could still die and their relationship value be used in the post game. A character not listed also does not confirm they are going to die in the story either. Though talking about those relationship points, I'm probably in the minority who'd rather that it not be a thing. If anything is unlocked or blocked by choices, that limits the amount you can explore to these characters which I feel all of them you should be allowed to even if you make a wrong choice. What if you wanted to learn more about El, but that would require not obtaining the best ending. In fact the villains are the most interesting characters in the game imo. But getting the high points on them may cause your favorite character to hate you and maybe your second favorite character's backstory gets locked out. The people in the Grand Hall are affected as much as everyone so they should be helping Adrienn at the very least. So , if while we're discovering the refurbished areas in Jasper, Apophyll or Tanzan we could battle those people and some even award us rare items for our service, that would be great.
