How many more PULSEs are there? I can't imagine that they are very quick to produce, and Team Meteor doesn't seem too concerned about running out of them anytime soon.

The last PULSE we saw was PULSE #10, Clawitzer. There's 3 PULSEs unknown before 10. If there's anymore, I would assume there's only one more, which would be for Meteor's ultimate plans (theory that Meteor wants PULSE Arceus again).

I'll be honest, I'm surprised Ame hasn't brought any legendaries into the play yet. Like, into the plot. Maybe it's a good thing too....

But seriously, will Anna have a Jirachi?

Well, considering that she'll either be 1 of the E4 or the champion herself, Jirachi would fit.

Ame did say in an interview at some point that all of the gym leaders X-League teams would be available for battle in the post-game. They all had megas and legendaries so we'll get to see some at that point.

I'm not sure if Ame still intends to do this but it was at least the plan.

TBH the only Legendaries I can really align with human characters would be Mewtwo(It was created by them...not too weird for them to have made another one with all those they've made and made it completely loyal to them)and the Tao trio.

Dang I was looking forward to going up against Jirachi. Like RasenShot said I think it's ok for super powerful trainers to have minor legendary pokemon. The E4 and champ (who as I have previously stated I believe to be Anna) are the absolute pinnacle of the pokemon world so it's not to weird to think they might be able to tame such incredible creatures. In fact the cannon materials supports this, in the anime Tobias had a Darkrai and Latios, in the games N had Resiram or Zekrom, in the pokemon special manga series the legendary beasts briefly let Misty, Blaine, and Lt. Surge use them Blue( the female) caught the legendary birds and Red caught Mewtwo ,and of course lets not forget the pyramid king and his Regi trio. So it's been proven that some great trainers can ( at least temporarily ) wield the power of legends.

Do note, however, that none of those examples are one of the Elite Four or the Champion, and several of those are from the manga, which is not canon. (Well, N non-withstanding, considering he did defeat Alder. But as BW are a special case, and he himself as well, I don't think I can count him.)

That being said, considering that this is Reborn, and Anna does have a clear connection to Nostra, I would be perfectly okay with her having a Jirachi regardless of her position. I'm not making justifications on anyone else, though. At least... not until rematches in the post-game.

(Personally only follows the games, and considers each form of media to be its own separate universe)

I'd be okay with Anna having Jirachi since it would make enough sense for them to have a connection, but that does bring up the issue of how the player would obtain Jirachi if somebody else already had it. If it just decided to go with us because we beat Anna, that would feel awkward, almost like it abandoning her for not being strong enough.

I''m not against the E4 having legendaries, especiallysince we ought to have pseudos by then to counter them. In Battle Tower on Emerald, I used Starmie, Salamence, and Blissey to beat all the legends at that time. s a matter of story, if a little kid can be a leader/E4, and that is somehow justified, then why not give them legends too? The anime already said legends can have babies (Lugia, Baby Lugia), so we would still be able to find them post game by that logic.

Legendary or Mythical doesn't mean that there is only one or that they cannot be captured and trained. The terms only mean that their existence is questioned due to the rarity of them. Anna having a Jirachi is irrelevant to whether the player can find an event for one. Shaymin have been shown to breed. The inability to breed ingame is a game mechanic. There have been many characters who have owned a legendary and/or mythical Pokemon, such as the Nurse Joy who owned a Latias to test that gyms were up to scratch. There is no reason that an E4 member or Champion or important character cannot have one (Shaymin and Jirachi were befriended by younger trainers, so Anna having one in some form is very likely).

Just clearing up a few things.

Am I the only one greatly disturbed by the idea of people wanting to go up against the legend of paraflinch? Most likely on a field favourable to it?

Er, I've seen worse tbh. Have you seen Mewtwo on the Glitch field? This looks not as scary compared to that given we'll be on similar levels with the E4 members. What you should be worried about is fighting 5 Reborn leaders in a row there. One leader usually leaves me nearly dead the first go around and given they're the strongest of the strong...be afraid...be very afraid.
