Shamitako
So you may be able to guess from the name that this team revolves around Ninjask. It does this because I was bored and felt like trying something I hadn't in a while Overview: Concept: I decided to return to my Rebornian roots and run a team based around Baton Pass Ninjask. the goal was to pick mostly slow and bulky Pokemon and use Ninjask to speed them up. So far it's actually been going quite well The Team: Ninjask (F) @ LeftoversAbility: Speed BoostShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 160 SpD / 96 SpeJolly Nature- Baton Pass- Swords Dance- Protect- Substitute The central piece of this team, Ninjask has one job and one job alone: to speed things up. Baton Pass+Speed Boost gets the speed onto the things. Protect and Sub let it hide from attacks. And Swords Dance is there because I didn't see any thing better to run and it lets me free up a slot on Doublade. The Speed EVs are just enough to outrun the second fastest unboosted thing in the tier--Electrode (and thanks to Protect it outruns everything boosted after one turn)Chandelure (F) @ Choice SpecsAbility: InfiltratorShiny: Yes- Fire Blast- Shadow Ball- Energy Ball- Trick Originally intended to be my main special sweeper, Chandy here is now mostly just here to make a mess. Due to specs, she doesn't benefit quite as much from BP since she's likely to need to switch after attacking. But she does run Trick to free herself up for a sweep or just generally mess up an opponent. I run Infiltrator over Flash Fire right now but that's open to discussionDoublade (F) @ EvioliteAbility: No GuardShiny: YesEVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpDAdamant Nature- Sacred Sword- Iron Head- Shadow Claw- Pursuit The team's physical sweeper. Doublade's job is to wreck shit. Eviolite makes it suspiciously bulky (able to tank Scarf Darmanitan's Flare Blitz) Thanks to Ninjask speeding it up carrying Swords dance, I'm free to run Shadow Claw and Pursuit over Shadow Sneak and SD. Only downside is that if Ninjask doesn't pass to it, it's not near as usefulPizzletwixx (Whimsicott) (M) @ LeftoversAbility: PranksterShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpDCalm Nature- Encore- Leech Seed- Stun Spore- Giga Drain So what happens if Ninjask can't get speed my team up? Pizzletwixx here slows the enemy team down. Pretty standard set and fits perfectly into my team's composition. Using Stun Spore allows my sweepers room to maneuver even when Ninjask can't help them out. Whimsicott also has the added bonus of fucking up Swift Swimmers like M-Swampert and KingdraNidoqueen @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDAdamant Nature- Stealth Rock- Drill Run- Dragon Tail- Taunt So now we start filling in the gaps. I needed some kind of alternate lead to Ninjask, as well as Rocks. Nidoqueen was what caught my eye. I feel like I could have a better set, maybe not running SF+LO? Taunt stops slower hazard-layers like Forretress, Dragon Tail shuffles things about. And Drill Run does damage. SimpleBlastoise (F) @ BlastoisiniteAbility: Rain DishShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpDModest Nature- Rapid Spin- Scald- Dark Pulse- Dragon Pulse And finally, Blastoise. The last gap to fill was that of a Spinner for myself. Baton Pass, especially when it's Ninjask doing it, struggles a lot against hazards. M-Blastoise is a nice bulky spinner with good damage output. Basically, it doubles as a Sweeper and Spinner, which is especially helpful since Chandy isn't so much a sweeper as just a nuke Notable Threats: Galvantula - Galvantula is a threat largely due to Sticky Web (you'd think a bunch of already slow mons wouldn't mind being slower... but they do >_>) But the Bug/Electric typing can really mess with my team if it's backed up properly. It's not the end of the world to see a Galvantula, but if it's played right it can be annoying Cloyster - This team isn't a fan of Ice. Especially Ice that can take out Substitute and Ninjask in one turn and then go and kill Pizzletwixx too. Basically, Skill Link Icicle Spear makes it impossible for my to set up for my sweepers. If it's slow enough and Smash+Sashless, then Chandy can kill it. Otherwise I basically have to junk/get extremely lucky with Pizzle to kill it I haven't had much time playing with this team, so these are all the threats I know of at the moment. I may update with more as they come Importable: Ninjask (F) @ LeftoversAbility: Speed BoostShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 160 SpD / 96 SpeJolly Nature- Baton Pass- Swords Dance- Protect- SubstituteChandelure (F) @ Choice SpecsAbility: InfiltratorShiny: Yes- Fire Blast- Shadow Ball- Energy Ball- TrickDoublade (F) @ EvioliteAbility: No GuardShiny: YesEVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpDAdamant Nature- Sacred Sword- Iron Head- Shadow Claw- PursuitPizzletwixx (Whimsicott) (M) @ LeftoversAbility: PranksterShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpDCalm Nature- Encore- Leech Seed- Stun Spore- Giga DrainNidoqueen @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDAdamant Nature- Stealth Rock- Drill Run- Dragon Tail- TauntBlastoise (F) @ BlastoisiniteAbility: Rain DishShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpDModest Nature- Rapid Spin- Scald- Dark Pulse- Dragon Pulse

Tomas Elliot
IMO, there are many things in today's UU meta that can prevent Ninjask from setting up a sub, so yeah, realistically you won't be baton passing Swords Dances most of the time, but rather just the speed. Because of this, I recommend running the SD+SN set on Doublade, removing Shadow Claw and Pursuit. Prio is needed to beat some of your checks, and SD is needed because... Well, you admitted it yourself, if you cannot baton pass a +2 Atk to it Doublade is pretty useless. Also, Flash Fire makes Chandelure a very good check for Arcanine, and Flash Fire-powered Specs Fire Blast hits like a truck, so I recommend Flash Fire over Infiltrator on that one. These minor remarks aside, this team looks good, well done
Shamitako
Arcanine can't really do anything to Chandy anyways (it tried earlier, I just kinda Shadow Balled it a bunch until it died) It does take some sneakiness to get the SD off, but until I start actually having trouble with it, I'm going to keep running the sets I have. I might swap Pursuit for SD (Pursuit's only ever proven useful once, and only been used like three times, so it's not the end of the world to drop it), but I'm probably keeping Shadow Claw over Shadow Sneak. With the way this team works, only things running priority and already-fast Scarf mons trouble my team for speed. And even then, Pizzletwixx tends to shut down the majority of Scarf users Thanks for the feedback ^^
AuthorReborn
Flash Fire is much better than Infiltrator imo especially if you plan to directly pass a couple of Speed Boosts to Chandy due to Ninjask's weakness to Fire. If you don't have a sub up at that point, you can BP to Chandy, get the Flash Fire boost, Trick the switch in, and proceed to destroy. For Nidoqueen, I think Black Sludge might help a bit more. Recovery is an important thing to have on a phaser such as Dragon Tail users, Whilwind-ers, Roar-ers, ect. because then they can do their job for longer and continue to force switches all match long. Shamitako
Ah, Black Sludge, that's good suggestion. I will update that a bit later Ninjask's weakness to Fire is a good point, I didn't consider that
pyrromanis
SF and LO with this moveset on Queen is pretty much useless. None of the moves get the boost and Nidoking outcalsses it as an attacker. Better switch the held item with Black Sludge and make it more defensive.OR you can swap Nidoqueen for another physical attacker that apreciates the Speed Boost passing! Krookodile can also set up rocks and punch holes in enemy team with LO. Also Moxie is the prefered ability over intimidate since it can sweep the whole team if it gets one or 2 KOs.Other physical attackers that can replace Nidoqueen are non-mega Moxie Heracross, non-mega Lucario and Toxicroak. All of them can give you a nice Fighting coverage that you team lacks and can free one of their moveslots for more coverage if you can pass them a Swords Dance. The downside is that they can't use Stealth Rocks, but honestly I don't think you need rocks anyway.Krookodile can block Voltswitches from Glavantula and can KO with Stone Edge or Earthquake with LO, while Galvavtula needs the LO recoil to ensure the 2HKO with HP IceLucario OHKOs Cloyster and if it holds Sash and try to Shell Smash you got a plenty of priority moves to finish it off. Toxicroak can survive a full 5 hit Icice Spear on the switch in (unless Cloyster has LO), Drain Punch to heal itself and finish it of with Sucker Punch. In addition it can block any water move Cloyster might use and can resist Rock Blast. Edited June 14, 2015 by pyrromanis
AuthorReborn
Okay, so a CroCune and Technician HP Rock Roserade core kinda kills your team. Something with Dry Skin would definitely help with CroCune and a very specific Pokemon works well to check Roserade. The only who combines a check to both CroCune and the aforementioned Roserade is Toxicroak, who can certainly benefit from the SDs you'll be passing. A set like Toxicroak @ Life Orb Ability: Dry Skin EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Drain Punch - Poison Jab - Sucker Punch - Ice Punch would optimize the Baton Passes by having recovery, quite extreme damage, and excellent coverage. Max Attack and Adamant are to punch hole in near anything and Max Speed is so you can outspeed the entire tier after a couple of Speed Boosts from Ninjask. Sucker Punch for Psychics and Priority to counter the few priority moves in UU, Ice Punch for Flying and Ground types, Poison Jab for STAB and Grass types. Drain Punch for STAB and recovery. Hope it works out for you!
Shamitako
CroCune wasn't actually that much of an issue, I just underestimated its physical bulk and you got lucky (or I got unlucky, however you wanna look at it) with your Sleep Talks triggering Scald consistently (I also made a derp and didn't Encore Rest when I should have) Roserade however, completely fucked over everything and I definitely needed to deal with that better. The issue with Roserade was that I couldn't slow it with Whimsicott and I couldn't speed things up with Ninjask when it was out. I also kinda tossed out Chandy expecting a Poison type attack on my Whimsicott and ate an HP Rock which didn't help anything >_<
