Zen
I am still peeved that chandelure can't Levitate as it does in the concept art. Yet another doubles/triples concept. --- Gengar (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Thunderbolt - Giga Drain - Skill Swap --- Jaye (Chandelure) (M) @ Air Balloon Trait: Shadow Tag EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Flamethrower - Shadow Ball - Energy Ball - Hidden Power [Ice] --- Similar to what I did with the drapion in the other topic, but I decided that for discussion purposes, maybe a separate thread would be better. Basically, a floating chandelure! And of course, no one's running away since gengar took its Shadow Tag... Could be nasty if you pull the trap on the right opponents. Yuki
I really like this one. However, you have to deal with being prone to ground on Gengar now. Maybe a trade, substitute for giga drain? And black sludge for survivability.
Godot
Interesting concept... people won't know what hit them, these two are known for being heavy hitters... and if i see them on a team... that is what i would expect... >> <<
YAMATANO!!! GO!!! USE EARTHQUAKE!!!
Zen
Hmm, swapping gengar out after the Skill Swap's an option, since so many ghosts can Levitate Otherwise, Substitute does sound like a viable option, too ... Earthquake's always a problem XD
Vandaeron
I argue that not augmenting Chandelure's far above average defenses by improving its bad HP is a fatal mistake, and that giving it 252 HP may well alleviate its inability to survive an Earthquake all on its own, as well as the multiple other types it's weak to. It is more sound to think of this pokemon as a faster, special Dusknoir that needs to compensate on defense, than a bulkier, special Arcanine that needs to compensate on speed. However, I myself dislike the concept of a scarfed chandelure - wasting away on its versatility, if you ask me. So I prefer to try and eliminate some of its weaknesses altogether, by using Balloons or Skill Swap.
Vandaeron
This is assuming that we're making speed a factor at all.
