Pokemon Conquest

So, I remembered this game, a crossover of Pokemon and Nobunaga's ambition. It took a period of warring states (Sengoku, I think), and added Pokemon to the whole thing, while the playing added a new way of getting Pokemon and a Turn Based strategy gameplay.

It was a pretty good game, all things considered and I wondered. Any other historical period you'd want to use for a game like this? Cause sending an angry Charizard against the Axis Powers or other such things sounds awfully tempting.

Tomas Elliot made a roleplay idea for a sort of Pokemon Conquest: Reborn where he made it like "The Song of Roland," pretty much like a French version of King Arthur and it was in Kalos. Unfortunately, I was the cohost and I ended up getting mired down by real life concerns so we were forced to leave the idea where it was and Tomas has moved on to Pokemon Se7en so the idea has been shelved. Maybe one day we'll return to it.

That sounds like a really fun thing to do. I know I have an old rp document when I was on the og Showdown server's RP room of rules when we would do conquest. I think I still have it sitting in my google docs somewhere

My name is TOMAS, without the h <.<

But yeah, that was definitely a fun idea, it is a pity that it never got anywhere. I would love to revive it come september... Depending on how busy I am with real life and Se7en, that is. Speaking of which, thanks for the free advertisement ;)

Now back on the topic: I am a big fan of strategy RPG, so of course a Pokemon-themed strategy RPG was an idea I liked a lot. The "one move per Pokemon" thing kinda limited its potential tho... On one hand, I reckon that maybe giving customization options to each individual Pokemon would have been too much for a NDS game, but on the other hand Disgaea DS exists, and it is a strategy RPG with TONS of customization options and a very long plot, so yeah, it that could fit in a NDS cartridge, they could have maybe gone the extra mile with Conquest too... But overall I can't complain, the fact that each Pokemon can do only a specific thing makes it fun to strategize. Although I end up using mostly warlords and neglecting normal mooks, because if you take the time to grind and transform them, the warlords get some insanely powerful abilities...

Sorry, spelling has always been my worst suit in language. But I think it breaks even with the link to your game. ;)
