So Some of you Already Know Me

My opinion has changed for one game I played but for this one it hasn't changed. I'll comeback 2 episodes later and ask if the game has gone darker. I want the game to feel more like a horror type of feel. I want my character to be threatened to die. There might be a game I'm playing right now that it's filling that cap.

I deleted my file but I'll comeback when the game is fully finished (wondering when). I just hope the devs change the pokemon spots again to make the 3rd run more fun like you did with ralts as an example. I saw Shade now has a doublade so that is always interesting to redo. I'm seriously thinking there's something about glitchxcity's music and how the story connects with the music that it's good to repeat if the team I'll use will be different.

I haven't seen much of episode 15. Just a huge swalot lol but in my mind I have a disturbance that I want to beat Solaris if I'm not mistaken (the garchomp dude) and the lady who destroyed the steelix. Sorry if it sounds awful but I forgot their names.

One of the main objectives in Reborn is to do away with all of the aspects that make it a crumbling metropolis and restore the city to its former glory.

In other words, the goal is to make the city LESS dark as you progress.

It might get a little darker as we approach Team Meteor's endgame, but for the most part, the condition of the Reborn region will be improving.

Saying "I want the game to get darker" goes against one of the most basic premises of the game.

I guess you'd be better off playing different games

Funny. Every time this guy makes a topic there are people (including myself in a past occasion) who say this.

EDIT: nvm apparently the "past occasion" I was referring to had nothing to do with this person. Sorry for getting confusing people, I am not good with names ;-;

Why would Ame and the other developers change Pokemon locations for no reason, besides "to make the 3rd run more fun."? They just do it to replace the Pokemon too strong for a specific point in the game for weaker ones to try to promote how any Pokemkn can be good enough.

They also occasionally buff or nerf Gym Leaders, which is why there Shade has a Doublade (although, didn't he have one for a while now? Trevenant and Banette are new...)

Really, changing things is a matter of making the game more balanced (although more on the difficult side). I don't think it's about making the game more fun; after all, they won't keep changing locations after the game is finished.

I think what may appeal to both sides although unlikely to happen is if the Reborn City changed for the better or for worse depending on your choices and actions such as darker choices may result in the city becoming damaged further or more deaths and stuff whereas good choices makes the city better with less bad things but perhaps at a cost? maybe certain pokemon only appear in the darker city and can only be obtained Post storyline game if the city becomes better and vice versa.

Well. It did with Shade, then it became all rainbow and sunshine.

I don't know why but they have several times. Sooner or later the game will become too easy when you have the right team. If I play the game again and they haven't change the locations. I'm pretty much will end up with the same team (signature, except a machamp for alakazam). It seems I'm obligated to use the same pokemon because I really find others really bad for how hard the game is. At least they could go like here: elekid, mareep, magnemite, shinx on the same spot because why would I wait for the other when I have already a good electric type? There's no point unless you're a hard fan for that specific pokemon but for progressing, you just don't need and you wasted a lot of time training so why bother add that pokemon? I really wanted to use magmortar and electivire and probably could have if I had played a previous version but if I did that I still wouldn't had use them except, again for the same, because I really want to use them but then again, why bother if I have my arcanine and magnezone filling that spot? I just see it pointless to add alternatives too late in the game.

Thank you!

Rejuvenation already has 7 badges wow. I'll guess I'll redo that one and see if this one gets some changes so I don't have to use the same team again.

These seem like kind of contradictory statements, you find the game too easy with the team you have but won't use different pokemon because that would make the game too hard?

Well. It did with Shade, then it became all rainbow and sunshine.

So you confront what is possibly the most morbidly ambiguous entity in the game, and you want it to become darker than that?

Shade is the exception, not the rule. He's a special case who is exempt from the normal setting of the game.

It's not about being "dark and edgy" for the sake of being dark and edgy. There's a reason why Reborn is messed up, and there's also a reason why the game has uplifting moments. You, the player, are trying to stop Team Meteor and repair the region. Do you want the game to become "darker" by seeing Team Meteor blow up buildings? Slaughter people on the streets? That would indicate that the player's efforts are failing, which defeats the point of the game in the first place.

You're asking for things that this game simply will not deliver.

Because if it DID deliver on those things, then it would be a bad game.

I mean they could kill a couple of dozens once and you still would stop them. Meteor is getting angrier so they would take desperate decisions. I'm ok with it I guess. It's just that Shade scene had a great impact on me because it feels so unnatural to fight a ghost for its badge while a really creepy scene is pulled. Finding Gastly had somewhat the same thing. The cult of arceus is a good one. The circus and tauros are just ok. It's now about killing but how they kill them.

They can limit good tms, tutors etc. and yet it's easy when you have your 500+ total stats pokemon with movepools but changing that wouldn't be a pokemon game. Obviously it's easy for me since I'm good at the game and yet the game challenges me but 30 tries for the second gym and 3 for the 10th is a big difference. There are always surprises. What I mean is that why bother adding Electivire that late in the game with no EV trained if I could have gotten a 1st: luxray, 2: magnezone, 3: ampharos way back.

Just finished Insurgence and they kill a lot of people. Some may had been too much and I agree. An example would have been a wild pokemon kills 3 enemies like nothing and I found that way too much. People sacrifice themselves to the antagonist's team, pokemon battle to kill themselves. if you lose a battle, they'll kill you, they use a lot of legendaries but somehow Shade just wins it all.

-Also. have they've changed the level up moves to 6th gen?

Yes the learnsets of Pokemon are now ORAS learnsets.

Thanks. So now gastly is out of the picture hmmm. I would like a staryu but he would be useless without TMs.

Oh so Rejuvenation basically offers the same good pokemon early on as Reborn?

There's no reason to include senseless killing where it isn't needed.

I think someone missed the PULSE Clawitzer artillery assault on Calcenon city, though that was less "Meteor is getting desperate" and more "Meteor is doing well for themselves." Honestly, throwing random killing into the mix wouldn't work with the game's feel, especially with what's been going on lately as far as events. When deaths become a numbers game, things just escalate until entire sections of the city are being wiped out with the player just saying "meh." Better to have more subtle situations like with Beryl/Jasper and save an all out war with Meteor for the climax.

And we ARE limited on good TMs/tutors. If you're complaining that the game's too easy and that it's not fun because of that and yet you're not willing to change anything up to make things harder for yourself, nobody's going to listen. If you want more of a handicap, make one yourself. Don't use any of the 'mons that were on your team in your previous run. Only use pokemon that have less than 500 BST. Don't use any TMs or move tutors besides the needed HM moves. Quit complaining and either do something to make your game more fun for yourself or go play a different game.

I can't agree with this enough. It was so impactful for me when I received the Bike Voucher from the officer who revealed that his daughter was killed in the Beryl attack.

"My brother works at the cycle shop up here... He gave us that for a present for my little girl.

She was reading in her room, and then the plants broke through the wall... She was...

...Never mind, I... I don't want to think about it...

Please, just...

Get that thing away from me..."

Saying "whatever" is the number one indicator that you've lost an argument.
