Pokemon gangs a bit too scarce

I quite liked the idea of pokemon gangs, so I feel a little bit sad that after the wasteland there aren't any more of them. Am I the only one that hoppes for a bit more of such events
(For example: Imagine the scenario that, when traversing the mountains, after a difficult battle, you're hunted by a group of Manectric/Mighthyena/whatever, which you then have to fight off.)

Perhaps you could get attacked in the presence of a weakened Grovyle, and obtain it by fighting the 'gang' off? *double wink* Would make a good event, and Sceptile isn't that great compared to other obtainables...
