Should I use my fire stone on vulpix or growlithe?

Pretty much what the title says. I'm quite stumped on the decision.

It depends on what your team is, the ability of the Growlithe and Vulpix as well as EVs/IVs. Use those as an indicator to see if you want a Ninetails or an Arcanine.

Depend on your style I think,Ninetales is more of a status mons like sunny day ,will o wisp something like that and Arcanine is an attacker or evolve both of them,you know that you can get a fire stone via mining right?

Yeah ik, but in the current part of the story that I'm at I'm not sure where else I could mine for a specific fire stone. As in there aren't any more places to mine as of right now.

Ninetales for a Special Attacker and Growlithe for Physical Attacking obv.

Personally, I prefer Arcanine because it has more utility with Flash Fire, Intimidate, and Extreme Speed. Coupled with a nice 110 Atk and 95 Speed, he can be nasty.

With Ninetales, you'd probably be relying on confuse ray hax so you can let it set up a Nasty Plot to start doing damage.

Both are good. Growlithe MUST be evolved at lvl 45 to get Flare Blitz. Also is very good with both FB and Heat Wave for burning fields and doing doubles. Vulpix can be evolved at 31 to have Flame Burst for the field-destroying capacity, since FT can be relearned later.

In my opinion, Ninetales is better because of drought, but if you don't have anything that needs the sun on your team, i would go for Arcanine because it is a pretty nice physical attacker while Ninetales is just a meh special attacker

Considering that both have their own uses, I'd recommend getting another fire stone and using it on both

And then you use Suntales + Arcanine on doubles and kill everything.

You can always go for mining two fire stones but since you want only one answer I'll go for Growlithe. Have it learn Close Combat, Flare Blitz, Extreme Speed and Outrage and it'll be a beast . I have one in my main team for Reborn.

I ended up using it on my vulpix, but then I found another place to mine. (With what seemed like an hour of resetting the game lol) I finally ended up getting another fire stone for my growlithe. And arcanine with that move set is extremely helpful.
