Eternal Edge
So come the end of next month I will have to retire my Blastoise/Keldeo deck since they are being rotated out of the Standard format, as such I've been brainstorming ideas for what I want my new deck to be. Using my semi-limited TCGO resources I've put together a draft idea for what I want to to. Deck Analysis: Gardevoir EX --> Mega Gardevoir EX: The queen of the deck, quite honestly. Mega Gardevoir EX's attack is like a stronger (in my opinion) version of Mewtwo EX since it will allow me to control the power more, rather than X-Ball also depending on how many energy the opponents Pokemon has as well. I plan on adding another Gardevoir EX and Mega Gardevoir EX in a future build since the current one seems to not be enough yet. Spritzee --> Aromatisse: This lovely lady will allow me to move my Fairy Energy around as I need to. It's nice having a ton of energy ont he field, but if it's stuck on something too weak, or about to die, the energy becomes useless. Xerneas: In an ideal situation Xerneas will be my opening Basic in the game since it will allow me to power up my bench rather quickly. It's attack also isn't that bad. I plan on adding a 4th when I get the chance. Energy Retrieval: Only running 3 since hopefully most of my energy will be locked on my field anyways. Professor's Letter: This will allow me to ramp up my energy faster from both my deck (via Xerneas) and hand faster. Ultra Ball: Obviously searching out what I need when I need it. Pokemon Fan Club: Again, obvious search. Only running 3 because I only have 9 basics anyways and I'll draw a majority of the basics anyways I'm sure. Professor Sycamore: Will allow me to refresh hand as needed. Shauna: Most of my cards will generally be on the field so she will allow me to draw back up to 6 without much of a drawback. Fairy Garden: Free switching is nice. Gardevoir's Spirit Link: I will be adding 1 or 2 more depending on necessity (and when/if I get them) but it will allow me to Mega Evolve without immediately ending my turn. I'd love to get some input from fellow TCG players. Suggest some card or changes as you see fit.
Godot
A. Wouldn't this go in the Pokemon topic? B. Gimme a sec I am actually pretty decent at TCG deck construction. Edit: don't you need Ralts and Kirlia to evolve them into Gardevoir? You also have a lot of focus on energy and running only one type in your deck. What is your strategy if you get countered? Eternal Edge
A: I didn't think so since it's technically TCG? Idk, we can move it if need be, it's fine. B: Notice that she's an EX. Pokemon EX do not need to be evolved into. As for the type, usually that's not a huge deal in TCG. That being said, I only have one weakness and that's steel. TCG Pokemon only have 1 weakness. Damage is doubled if they are hit by it. Currently Steel isn't seeing too much play, plus the damage output of this deck is enough where I can stop anything from getting too dangerous. My Xerneas's second attack does 100 damage which knocks out most Basic and Stage 1 things. Then Mega Gardevoir EX's damage is 30x the number of Fairy Energy on my side of the field. With the energy acceleration Xerneas's first attack gives me it's usually at least 90 damage by my second turn and 180 dmaage by the third practically for free. All that being said, I have gotten a few more copies of Mega Gardevoir and the Spirit link. I also managed to get a Shaymin EX giving me even more drawing power. Godot
Ah, i kinda guessed those things, but wasn't sure. I haven't followed any TCG meta in years, and I used to play a ton of Magic. I had an interest in Pokemon, but it didn't last too long.
