Nikki grimaced at the explosive interruption. They were.. well Nikki couldn't say she was getting anywhere, she still didn't know if she wanted to stick around. Still, she could only make that decision when she was properly informed, which couldn't happen if they were all engaged in some other matter.

"Aethor. Out. We're going to investigate an explosion." Nikki stated to her partner, who had been sent back into his pokeball and was confused at the quick release once more. He rolled out of the door, barging past Yuuki as Nikki strolled after Aethor.

It was one thing after another. The girl who maintained her neutral expression even through the shock had many questions which all ended up connecting to the question, what the hell just happened? However, she realized considering both the scent and the sounds that there was no time to ask those questions and even if there was, nobody was there at the moment to answer them.

In the end, what Yuzuki needed to do was simple. She needed to find some way to end the predicament and ascertain more information.

She put the now empty cup of hot chocolate on the table, stood up, and released her Gardevoir. "Let's go, Natsuki." She said before walking carefully with Natsuki in tow to the stairs where Yuuki had headed to.

"What the fu-" Felix started as he saw three of the people from the room earlier leave right after the rank smell of smoke poured in and invaded his nostrils. "Damn that stench. What on earth's going on?" It must have been pretty serious if people were yelling and three of his fellow passengers had to depart. He immediately uncrossed his legs and reached for his Pokeball at his belt.

"Pory, I need you to assist me," he said as he pressed the button and the pink and blue twitching form of his Porygon-Z as he stood up from his chair and walked out of the room to the others to check out what the hell was just going on.

"So he knows about me, well at least I won't have to explain my life story." Lloyd said so softly that it would be near impossible to hear over the explosion and the lights going out. He stood through the explosion a little surprised by it but his outward expression said other wise. Though one couldn't be too surprised, if these people were enemies with an underground group a confrontation was bound to happen eventually. It was probably coincidence that this day would be the attack. Seeing as if he didn't join the fight he'd probably just be taken by the other group as some sort of prisoner, besides this might be fun.

"Hmph, Silver prepare for battle." Lloyd said as the Absol gracefully came out of her ball on her own. When she came out she gave him a glare, it was like she was saying, 'Told you coming to this city was a bad idea.' Lloyd rolled his eyes at her. "Look, we're in this situation now so stop giving me that look and let's go." The Dark-Type let out a sigh before following her trainer up and out of the room to see what is happening out there.

"Well... this is awkward." Steele said, a smirk on her face. "Guess I'll have to wake sleeping beauty... He's not going to be happy about it though." Johanna had good control over Isamu. That wasn't the issue here. He'd just resent being woken up; He might actually do better right now angry that his nap was disturbed. Whatever was going on... those that were the reason Isamu woke... were about to regret it. Steele pulled the plain pokeball from her jacket's pocket and lazily released the Farfetch'd. He was lying on the floor snoring loudly after a long day of his own training regimen. A tiny snot bubble resided in his duck nose as it got larger and smaller with his breathing. "Typical Isamu. Sleeping like a felled log." the Iron Woman thought to herself. His ability to sleep through anything was almost as powerful as his sword skills. Steele knew just what to do to rouse him from the nice warm throes of sleep.

She stood directly up and pushed the chair she was sitting on out of the way behind her to give herself some room. Johanna then took a deep breath adn swung her leg as far back as she could before punting the little duck into the wall. If they knew Isamu... they know it was required to wake him up. The duck smashed into the far wall with a loud bang as his skull collided with the steel of the bulkhead. He hopped up, seeming to not really notice the impact all that much. He was groggy and slow at first waking up slow as ever, when he started to stare at Steele. He flew directly over and started quacking loudly in a rather angry tone. "Yea, yea... you're upset I woke you up from your beauty sleep. I'll make it up to you later for now we have business to attend to." She said to the Farfetch'd now sitting on her shoulder. Isamu harrumphed... clearly a bit upset at the fact he was awake now and not asleep. However he seemed to be ready to lsiten as he stayed right where he was. From the outside, the partnership here... probably didn't seem all that good. But Isamu and Steele were inseparable. They had a kind of understanding of each other that not many could share. They understood each other on a more... spiritual level. They felt like kindred souls; Two warriors trapped in a strange time past that where they were needed. But, maybe they were needed once more. "Be ready, you silly bird. I'm not sure what we are up against yet... but we're going to find out soon I suppose." Steele said. Isamu nodded in response, furrowing his brow. His was going to beat the senses out of those who forced him to be awake right now.

Joey was pretty pleased with himself when he managed to get a chuckle out of the Ice Queen next to him. Humor always worked when it came to talking to girls.

The feeling disappeared slowly when the man with the shades made clear that everything he heard about Arcadia was a lie. He even made it even sound like some world domination war was going on. Joey sighed and stayed still during the entire conversation. This wasn't what he signed up for.

Even after all hell broke lose, the young man stayed on his seat, not even blinking an eye when the Ice Queen woke her Pokémon up. Instead Joey sighed once again. “Look, I came here to test my skills and worth as a Pokémon trainer, not to join a bunch of delusional world savers that's fighting a war with nutjobs”, he said to no one in particular. “But if they want to pick a fight with me because I happened to be here, fine.” The blonde walked straight towards the noise with a Pokéball in his hand, obviously in a bad mood now that his destination had turned into a lie.

On the far deck

Recci ground his teeth in the intense heat and stench of smoke from the fires before him. Even as strong as he was, there was little he could do against three opponents at once. Especially so with the woman who was obviously in command of the other two... There was something off about her Tyranitar, he could tell from the piercing obs of pure black edging closer to him and his partners through the blaze. That thing had to be on something, had to receiving the extra power from something other than a Mega Stone, jack just couldn't figure out what...or how. The other two, they would've been beaten already if not for her covering their asses. It was obvious she was the biggest threat. And it was obvious it was time to end this.

"Quiet, Steel Wing!." He ordered to the emperor penguin beside him. "Bypass the tyranitar!" There was no hesitation. No questioning as to the implications of the command. Her blades took on a light of their own as the steel type charged forward through the flame, her body completely engulfing itself in a torrential spiral of water of she passed through, moving faster, faster. Within mere seconds, she had passed the Tyranitar completely, extinguishing the inferno in her wake... and flying right for the woman commanding it, body prepared to slash and hack.

Avelia did nothing more than smile. The old soldier thought killing her would really be as simple as giving an order. It was amusing. And it was pitiful. He probably thought he was dealing with some ordinary operative... but fine, fine. If he wanted to go down this route, she would be more than happy to accommodate him.

Her eyes shifted to the staircase in the distance. Looked like the travelers were intent on providing backup.... such a shame. They too could've lived just a few minutes longer down below. "Exon," She said, not taking her eyes off the approaching attack as the air around her hand swam with a dark aura "Occupy the guests for a moment while I take care of Jackson. Subduing them doesn't matter, just buy me a few moments."

Exon said nothing, only nodded... and left her to finish the fight.

The Travelers...

The group could see only precious little of what was going on through the fire blazing at the other end of the deck. Shadows and shouting and roars... it seemed obvious that someone was engaged in all out combat. There was no way to reach or help them that could be seen though. Shades was nowhere to be found outhere... neither was the asshole of a Captain they'd had the pleasure of encountering earlier. But there was one figure ready to greet them...

"And so the little mice have scattered from their humble hole," A voice called over the roaring of the inferno. Out of the hellishly hot fires emerged a hooded man, his entire body cloaked with a dark cloth that extended down to his ankles. The heat and destruction of the force behind him seemed to have no effect on him... they almost seemed to part for him, like some crowd allowing a higher authority through after a fiasco in the town square... and they closed shut again the moment he was through.

"How good of you all to come out and be proactive." He flashed a smile beneath his hood. A wicked one. "Truly... you don't realize how much time searching you've just saved us."

In a mere, blinding crimson flash, the man's entire team stood at the ready before him, each of the six beasts eyeing the travelers and their own partners. A Camerupt, a Chandelure, a Blaziken, a Volcarona, a Delphox... and something none of them had ever seen before, not even in old story books about legends...

"Now please... allow me to reward you for the trouble!!"

The fires intensified, taking on a life of their own as encircled the group, cutting off the way back down below, seeming to whisper and scream at them as the heat continued licking at the succulent wood of the floor they stood on. The beast standing at his beg and call came charging in complete synchronization.

The Camerupt charged Nikita and Aethor like a freight train, the circles along it's hide burning with power as it opened it's mouth, condensing the rays of the sun itself into a deadly ball before launching the death ray right at the two of them, scorching the floor boards even further as it shot through the air...

The Chandelure vanished before appearing high above the heads of Yuuki and Janah, the flames adorning it's being growing more and more violent before it finally unleashed a hellish blast of roaring flames, sending the tide of fire surging right for the Trainer and Gallade down below...

The Blaziken shot off like a missle the moment it spotted Felix, vanishing from the man's sight like a phantom. IT emerged a second later, right in the face of the machinist and his creation, Hand burning with a blueish light as it reeled back it's arm, prepared to send the Porygon-Z up to the heavens to meet his lord Arceus...

The Volcarona came for Llyod, Buzzing it's wings faster than his eyes could follow and sending out a plethora of crimson shock waves from it's body, aimed right at Silver...

Meanwhile, the Delphox sprung for Yuzuki and her own partner, waving it's stick as a fire came to life at it's command, a vortex of insane fire blooming from it's very skirts and wrapping around the vixen... before surging right towards the Gardevoir and it's quiet trainer....

And the last beast... it did not join it's brethren in the charge... oh no no no... it simply fixated itself on Johanna and Joey... eyeing the two and their partner's with a primal hunger before launching itself forward, roaring with a great whistle that sounded as if a boiler was at full capacity... and releasing a blast of bright, luminescent steam at them both, so hot it had it's glow and boiled the very air around it's path...

Nikita and Aethor wasted no time as the goliath of a Camerupt charged them firing what, to Nikkis eyes were similar to a Solarbeam. Admittedly this caught her off guard, if she hadn't had experience with the move on one of her own pokemon she wouldn't have realised what the build up of energy and the manifestation of the energy was, and they would have been roasted by the sheer amount of energy. However, Nikki made the obvious choice and rolled to the side of the beam as Aethor immediately rose from the ground, manipulating magnetic waves that the Electrode had so much practice using, and shot off into the air, dodging on instinct.

Nikki wasn't interested on staying on the defensive.

"Aethor, Foul Play, target it's legs" She commanded as the ball swerved through the air, Aethors natural speed allowing it to maneuver outstandingly fast. Aethor used his momentum to try and crash into one of the Camerupts knees, hoping to use the foes weight and charge against it.

Nikita

Anger. That was the only thing capable of describing the sound from the molten camel's mouth as it toppled over onto the planks. Anger and fury. The beast glowered at Nikita as it slowly rose, finding it difficult to re-establish balance over it's impressive girth. Steam blew from it's nostrils. The Goliath of a fire type reared up on it's hind legs, body blazing with the power of gaia herself as it let out a roar that seemed to shake the whole deck around it... and then it slammed both hooves down onto the planks, and in a flash, the floor all around it was being torn up as a shockwave of golden, unrelenting force surged out in all directions...

And focused themselves on the girl, not the Electrode floating nearby.

Whatever the Camerupt was... it was obvious it was smarter than most of it's kind... Aethor had two options, it seemed... try to play dirty again, and be damaged by the power emanating from the fire type's body- something that not even the blessing of magnet rise would save it from- or focus on his master... and the camel stared at the electric type, knowing the predicament it had just created...

And the grin on it's face matched the same wickedness of it's lord and master Exon...

"Battle routine, set." Yuzuki said with a cold and crisp voice that lay in contrast to the flames around her. With her left arm, she pointed using two fingers at the center of the incoming flames, and Natsuki readied her aim.

Under normal circumstances, setting up with Hypnosis would have been the best strategy. But she did not have time for that. In other words, she needed to match her opponent blow for blow and find an opening.

"Moonblast." She ordered calmly. A pink orb formed between Natsuki's hands before it was released forward to collide with the flames.

Felix strafed back as the Blaziken took a pot-shot at Pory. Luckily for his Porygon-Z, it could analyze the foe rocketing towards it, and even dodge by the length of a hair. Felix smirked to himself. The Blaziken gained velocity from it's initial charge at Pory, but the floating mess managed to keep up with the furious strikes, reading it's opponent, matching it blow for blow even as the Blaziken's speed slowly increased.

Felix felt the swish of air blow on him as the Blaziken's blow just barely missed Pory. That Blaziken needed to slow way the fuck down for Felix and the Porygon to get a good read, however he only knew one, very risky way.

"Pory, use Discharge!" Felix shouted to his loyal servant. The machine obeyed it's master and loosened seemingly unavoidable large amounts of electric pulses, fanning out in the direction of the Blaziken, with some even dashing away toward the other people. Felix felt the mild stings of electricity hit his bare hands as he shielded his face from the electric attack.

Nikki had to think furiously in the few seconds before the damned quakes made it to her the adrenaline of battle providing the crystalline moment of clarity. She knew Aethor would be itching to dive in and save her but if he did, with only one effective move in her arsenal he would get hurt. Badly. Nikki couldn't afford to be taken out of the fight so quickly.

She needed to stop the attack, her first thought was to break the deck beneath the camerupt with a Thunder drop from Aethor but she was hesitant to believe the deck would break. That would have given her time to get into a better position, perhaps climb a mast or some ropes to take her out of range. Perhaps some subterfuge then? If she could trick the Camerupt into thinking it was in danger, it would be forced to dodge and hold its attack. She hoped. How often would it have fought Electrodes, after all?

Whilst she had a chance Nikki looked for somewhere she could get safe from the ground type attacks as she yelled. "Aethor, hit it with our most powerful technique! Light Wave 74!" She yelled, stressing the wave part of the command to indicate Thunder wave, she didn't want to waste Aethors energy on this gambit. Unfortunately, Aethor only understood the "most powerful" move part of the command... He launched into the sky as high as he could manage and, acting as a conduit, summoned power from the skies above, channelling the bolts of lightning into a single powerful bolt of raw electrical energy that shot down towards the camerupt with a vengeance.

Yuzuki

The two attacks collided with a blinding light and burst of sound as both fire and hollowed force bloomed outwards in a cascade of energy. Once the reaction died down, it became clear to the Delphox she wasn't dealing with common rabble... for someone to be able to counter her technique like that...

The fiery vixen snarled, skirts still ablaze as she stowed her wand and brought together her hands as the fires again engulfed her entire form... with one major difference from the last gout....

These flames were darker than midnight, and seemed to suck in the very light around them as they spun and funneled and danced across the space...before again surging off towards the Gardevoir and her mistress, this time moving faster...far faster... and hotter.

If one did not know any better... it could've been classified as Grade A Hell Fire.

((It's Mystical Fire laced with Shadow Ball's energy and power, just to make it perfectly clear. Fire/Ghost type technique))

Felix

The Blaziken was surprised that the computer entity could dodge it's strike... but it wasn't about to allow itself to be defeated in a battle of speed. Not at all. It leapt backwards through the air as Pory unleashed his counter, knowing full well the shock wave of electricity would hit it before it landed... precisely what it desired.

For the moment it did, the Fire Type's entire Body became coated, gleaming liquid silver with power as the attack circulated throughout it's being... and then was reflected right back towards Pory, with just as much power and skill as the AI had used the move itself...

it was so exactly the same in execution that it was almost as if pory was being targeted by an exact copy himself...

Nikita

The plan worked like a charm. The camerupt had no idea what the hell the child was doing, ordering an attack that would have no effect... it made no sense in the mind of the beast, nothing to be strategically gained by...by...Unless there was something somehow different about this electricity.

It might have been a bluff... it have been nothing but a lie to try to distract him, but the fire type didn't want to risk failing his lord if it wasn't. The goliath turned it's head towards the heavens, body no longer glowing with the earth's power as the attack surging towards niki stopped in it's tracks.

Again it opened it's mouth, the Solar Rays gathering there... and again it fired, this time aiming at the bolt of lightning falling like an anvil. There was something off though. that much was clear to the camel the minute the two techniques collided in the air...

His solar beam...tore apart the lightning like it was nothing but a weak strike under the guise of being far more powerful...

The Camerupt stood there for a minute... looking at the reaction as he closed his mouth and ended the beam. He was completely puzzled by what his foes were going for...

And that puzzlement presented the perfect opportunity to strike.

Nikki didn't even have to order Aethor to do anything, the Thunderball dropped like a stone in the wake of the the solarbeam, remnant sparkles of light and electricity trailing behind Aethor as he dropped faster than a stone, dragging himself down with more magnetic waves, inverting the power of Magnet rise, as he gathered the true dark energy of the move Foul play, surrounded by a black aura of power that rivaled Camerupts own strength. Nikkis grin mirrored Aethors as her partner took action. Nikki now felt justified, picking Aethor over her other pokemon.

Arcadia meant more to Joey than just a place to battle strong trainers. He had hoped to find his way, to know what he had been doing all this time was the right path. And to find a place where he belonged. All the questions that dwelled around in his mind ever since he lost that final battle.

Those questions had led him to this very ship where he stared at a beast he had never seen before while carrying Ishmael's Pokéball in his hand.

“So all this crap about the Brotherhood is true? There really is a bunch of nutjobs trying to push their will onto the world? Guess I got no choice...” Joey said while staring into the Beast's eyes. The young trainer was barely able to dodge most of the incoming steam. “Son of a...!' he cursed when his right hand touched the steam right after he released Ishmael.

The Gyarados released a mighty roar on appearance as he glared at his opponent with bloodlust in his eyes (Intimidate). Without waiting for a command the Serpent gave in into his primal instincts when adrenaline and anger filled his entire body.

Joey smirked. “Too bad my friend can easily put out your fire,” he said while water surrounded his partner's tail. With another angry roar the Gyarados finally released a powerful swing, aiming at his opponent's face. (Aqua Tail)

The well-trained Gallade reacted reflexively, taking a hold of his master and sweeping him toward safety and away from the oncoming torrent of flames. After the initial shock of being directly attacked by his opponent faded, Yuuki took a moment to assess the situation. It seems that all of their attacks are aimed at eliminating the trainers, rather than knocking out Pokemon. The opponents also display high levels of power, and mine has type advantage, so direct confrontation may be unwise. Yuuki scrambled for a better hiding spot as he analyzed the situation. Perhaps the best move is to mirror the opponent's tactics. "Janah, Swords Dance!" The order didn't mean what the opponent might think, however. Training added to psychic communication told the Gallade to instead take a step through the shadows, aiming to capture the opposing Trainer rather than attack the Chandelure.

The Porygon-Z took the brunt of the copied Discharge, the electricity coursing through it's circuits, although otherwise seemingly unaffected by the poser's dinky little trick. Felix unshielded his face to see the Blaziken copying Pory's attack, and sending equally erratic electric bolts flying in the random directions. Felix laughed to himself. The copy is never as grand as the original, especially from a half-assed copy that Felix recalled from a primarily physical attacker. The two of them looked like their speed was matched, as the Porygon-Z analyzed the boost to the Blaziken's speed, managing to keep up no problem, despite being severely outsped at this point. Patience.

Felix looked in the directions of his fellow travelers. To him, everyone was at a disadvantage in one way or another. The Electrode against a Ground type, even though it seemed faring pretty well. The Volcarona to that Absol, the Chandelure to that Gallade, and that impreesive behemoth that stood over the other two. None of them looked like they were in peril, so Felix concentrated back on the Blaziken.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. "Pory, zap it with another Discharge!"

The Porygon obliged once more as it loosened more bolts of electricity toward the Blaziken, fanning it out again toward the Blaziken.

Felix grumbled to himself. Discharge had a much better chance to immobilize the infernal chicken more than the Tri-Attack or Ice Beam, so it had to work eventually. It was merely another test of trial and error to him.

Isamu was still sitting on Johanna's shoulder at the time of the attack, so rather than him dodging, Johanna dodged. She quickly jumped to the side with Isamu still clinging to her shoulder. "You seem pretty relaxed up there Isamu... mind doing something Sport? Or you like watching me get attacked. The Farfetch'd let break a little smirk at that comment. Clearly he was a little amused. Just like his master his he didn't leave huge hints to his emotions only small ones.

"What is that thing?" Johanna thought to herself. It certainly was no creature she had seen before. Whatever attack it just used however... was steam based. That was interesting, she had never seen a Pokemon utilize steam to attack before. She's didn't know of the type, but it definitely lead to it being water or fire type, one of those surely being the case as both were needed to make steam. If it was pure Water Leaf Blade would be Isamu's best attacking option, however there was no way to know what it was... Brave Bird was the superior option for now as it was Neutral no matter what. Johanna opted to gather more info however dropping back a little bit to allow the Gyarados to take it on for now. "Isamu, You know what to do." The Bird Nodded as it leapt down to touch the ground. It glowered at the mysterious beast with one eye full of murderous intent. A small errant twitch in the otherwise tranquil face of the duck solider. One of the fools that had awoken him from his slumber. He was about to take a nap of a different form. The Duck focused and took a deep breath. As it did so four blue swords danced around his head, before they eventually formed a blue energy that washed over his form. (Swords Dance used).

Yuzuki noticed it. The Delphox's attacks took some time to prepare. In other words, that was likely a perfect window to attack. If she could go in at that moment, Natsuki could probably hit the Delphox at that moment.

But, then she noticed another thing. The pitch black flames were not normal. It was likely not something they would be able to cancel out like before or dodge completely. They would have to risk some damage. They would have to grit and bear it. But the goal was still the same.

"Natsuki, charge Shadow Ball." Knowing what Yuzuki was after, the two side-stepped by a single step before Natsuki pointed at the incoming black flames at an angle. Even though they were still in the path, there was still a way to cancel out as much damage as possible if they could have the attacks collide at an angle. "Fire!"

The black ball that had been charging in Natsuki's hands was sent in at an angle to collide with the Delphox's attack. However, there was no time to focus on that. They would have to risk the damage but they needed to get a good attack in on the enemy. So, Yuzuki pointed her fingers to the Delphox before she could lose sight of it and gave the calm command. "Natsuki, Hypnosis."

Nikita

The Camerupt was surprised to see the black comet descending from the heavens like the hand of Arceus himself. Stunned, really... so the thunder had truly been just a ploy to distract him and set up for this. There was too little time to dodge, the ground type knew that... and with the power and speed the Electric ball had already managed to gain during it's fall, the damage would be horrible...

But he was not done yet. Not by a long shot. Without a sound, the Camerupt took on a violet glow as his body expanded a little, muscles thickening and bones hardening as he faced the dark meteor head on...

The moment Aethor made impact, there was a crash... a crash and a roar of pain from the camerupt. The beast was badly injured... it had survived the hit, but just barely. Which is precisely what it wanted...cause now it would kill them both. There was no escape.

The Fire Type rose to it's feet, body again surging with the same power it had used to attempt to murder Aethor's master. It glared at the electric type, stepping forward, one hoove at a time, the wood of the deck seared in it's wake with perfect rings. There was hate in those eyes. Hate and fury. And then the lumbering beast stopped.

The fires around it responded with violence. Almost as if they had life of their own, they jumped and leapt towards the camel, engulfing it's entire form in a torrent of hellishly brutal heat as it's eyes kept up their piercing look into the Electrodes Soul. Soon the metallic gold of it's body's glow had shifted to a deep, metallic crimson. The very air around it sizzled and burned with fire as the walls retreated back to their rightful places around the perimeter of the arena Exon had crafted.

The Camerupt flashed one last, wicked grin at Aethor. And then the next second, the entire world disappeared in a swirl of magma and fire as the sound of a mountain crying in agony echoed throughout the area and a torrential storm of the stuff began to spiral around the Camerupt's form; the floor boards all around the goliath shook violently before finally, giving way to the raw power of the Earth itself that surged beneath them and erupted upwards, heading straight for Aethor along with the fire and raw, superheated liquid stone.

Whatever the technique was... it obvious the fires had increased it's power somehow. And the speed of it's approach as well. Even as fast as the Electrode was, and the mobility granted by Magnet Rise, the chances of it managing to escape completely unscathed... was relatively non existent.

This was the Fire type's final gambit. The Camerupt knew it. His strength was wavering as he struggled to maintain the raw force of it... but failure was not an option. If he was going to go down, they were all going to go with him.

That much he was adamant about.

((Basically the fires activated a "Blaze" like effect and boosts the power of fire attacks))

Yuuki

Exon was surprised when he spotted the shadows around him, flickering and dancing, begin to gyrate and shift... more so than the fire should've accounted for. The moment Janah's manifestation began to emerge though, he knew precisely what was happening.

"Shit!" He cursed, instantly pushing back into a powerful leap through the flames. He landed on the opposite side of the wall, unscathed by the blaze, just as he had been before. "Too close... didn't expect one of them to be intelligent enough to actually try to attack me directly..." He took a breath, trying to calm himself from the close call. Then he examined the flaming walls he had erected. They should be enough to keep them from breaking through, but...

"Better safe than sorry..." He reached out a single hand to the fires... and focused, centered himself. And pumped even more of his own willpower into the construct than there was already surging through it. His body may have been beginning to shake, and the sweat on his brow might've been intensifying, but he didn't care. Failure was not an option. He couldn't let anyone escape this soon.

Meanwhile, within the blaze, the chandelure looked at Yuuki in puzzlement, even going so far as to rub one side of head with the flaming goblet of it's arm.

The thing obviously wasn't too bright... or just too easily distracted. Either way, Janah would have the perfect opportunity to strike right about now...

Felix

The Hell Chicken made no attempt to dodge the electricity, nor to use mirror move. Instead it simply stood there... and waited. Waited as it's body began to take an a golden hue of it's own, the air beginning to snap and crack around it as it called forth the power hidden within it's soul, cloaking it's entire fiery being with the electric force as Pory's Discharge hit squarely, the two electric types cancelling one another out as they collided. (HP Electric)

And then the Blaziken did something even less expected. Rather than charge forward and attack...

it leapt backwards and vanished within the flames...

vanished... but did not leave.

Yuzuki

The Hell Fire burst outward and swallowed the darkness of the sphere whole as it approached, only seeming to grow stronger from the kindness it's opponents had shown in feeding it more of it's source material...

But the path soon became erratic as the other part of the girl's plan was put into place. The delphox had no choice but to drop her concentration on the hell fire and redirect it to pushing back the attempt to lull her into sleep. She went to work, ignoring her previous work completely and allowing the vortex to die as she began constructing mental walls so tough and resillent that the hypnotic suggestion did little more to tear them down than a pebble being tossed against a brick facade...

But the Vixen had failed to see the point of her foe's sudden shift of strategy. Failed to see the fact that focusing on the mental assault was precisely what they wanted her to do...

with no focus being spent on keeping up her pyromancy, the Fire type had left herself wide open...

Joey and Jahanna

The beast seemed to be only slightly shaken by the sea serpent before it. And even less so by the torrent of water that slapped it in the face moments later. It paid no attention to duck nearby as it glowered up at the sea serpent, eyes gleaming a disturbing, bloody hue as it shook it's head in confusion, as if it was processing one thing yet being commanded to do another.

The moment did not last though. Soon something seemed to finally win it in it's psyche, and the hooped constructs on the monster's back unhooked themselves into two, split cannon like arms, aiming right for Isamu and Ismael both as a hot, roaring torrent of fire blasted forth...

Must have been unsuccessful, Yuuki surmised due to the attacks not ceasing and the impressions he received from his Pokemon. He focused for a moment. "Janah, Shadow Sneak back in here and slap this Chandelure down." It was rather amusing, the Chandelure's reaction. Or, it would have been if the wall of flame around him wasn't so intense that he worried for the amount of oxygen still remaining in the area. That's some poor training on that ghost. These Pokemon may be powerful, but their responses aren't coordinated. Yuuki simply looked back toward the Chandelure calmly as Janah coalesced behind it, delivering a blow that would knock away whatever it might have been holding.

Felix in the heat of the moment, hypnotized by Pory and it's amazing skill keeping the Blaziken at bay, snapped him out of his trance when the Blaziken retreated behind a ring of flame. Felix attempted looking through the firey column, but made neither heads or tails of it. He didn't want to take his eyes off the Blaziken in case it made a surprise counterattack, however, the behemoth seemed to be giving the two people a hard time, accentuated by the jets of hot flame spewing out of the hidden orfices assumedly from it's back. That thing was more of a threat than the Blaziken nowhere in sight.

Felix ushered Pory over to him while he quickly assessed the others while antsy about the Hell Chicken possibly ambushing them. The Camerupt looked like it was thrashing fit wildly, the Chandelure seemed under control, the Volcarona and Delphox seemed like no progress was being made in either's favor. So Felix decided to rush through the billowing flames toward the red quadrepedal titan.

In the back of his mind, something didn't feel right about that Blaziken disappearing like that. As much as he hated to do so to another Pokemon, he moved one of his heavy wrenches from the outer pocket of his pack to a pocket within his parka.

Now havint a somewhat clearer peace to mind, he pointed at the beast, but changed his mind. What was he thinking. That thing wasn't the threat as of now. What if that damn Hell Chicken pounced? No, even with his wrench he couldn't do it.

He ran away from the beast to where he assumed the Blaziken hid. "Pory, Mode Delta. Tri-Attack!" The Porygon-Z snapped to life as it whirled around, mustering a triangle with a transluscent white, red, and yellow orb spinning from each corner of the triangle as it slowly grew in size. "Bird bastard, try me now," Felix said to himself.

"Silver, Crescent Strike at that bug." Lloyd spoke quickly and coldly to his partner as he saw the attack begin to make it's way towards them. Silver responded in turn by making the blade on her glow a violet purple and swiped it across the air in front of her causing a glowing purple blade to be launched straight at the bug (Psycho Cut). This was meant to stop the attack from continuing, since the easiest way to cease a sound for continuing is to stop it at it's source, in this case the giant bug. Even if some of the beginning shock were to waves hit, it still would be better then having all of them hit and not taking the chance to prevent the rest of them while they can. There may have been better options on how to approach this, but this seemed to be the best choice out of all them.

Nikki was having serious trouble adjusting to the ferocity and vicious nature of the camerupt. It was one thing to face wild pokemon who may have been dangerous, it was another entirely to face an opponent who was certainly dead set on murder. Nikki didn't like Aethors chances of surviving an escape, even now as her mind churned she was forcing her self to run away from the Camerupts impending deadly attack. It was almost certain that they would have lost this match up even as it began and that was showing now.

Nikki decided, as much as she didn't like it, she had to rely on others for help. She surveyed the battle quickly and decided that the best candidate for dispatching this camerupt quickly was one of the two trainers facing down the... thing. If she could take the place of one of them then perhaps the gyarados user could dispatch the camerupt and his damned attacks.

Of course all of this was hoping Aethor even survived what Nikki was about to order him to do.

"Aethor, target change, get as far away from that Camerupt as you can and Thunder the unidentified enemy, One of you two, dispatch the damn camerupt, now!" She demanded of the electrode and the two trainers as she made it out of danger of the Camerupts blast. Aethor obliged, turning all of his speed into a charge towards the other Enemy, in an effort to escape the Camerupt. Within a moment though Aethor was propelled so much faster away by the impact of the Camerupts technique, the ball winced in obvious pain as he sustained serious damage, almost losing control of the magnetic waves that sustained his strange form of flight. But he had survived and was now on the other side of the battlefield, calling Thunder as he did before and launching it at the new beast, violent and fast as was the nature of the energy.

Fire was undoubtedly quick, but so was Isamu, he didn't wait for the order he knew Steele would give him anyway. He ran forward towards the flames before leaping into the air and tucking in his wings. A light blue aura formed around him as he moved just fast enough to cut the air around him.(Brave Bird) Fire needed the air to breathe and burn, so cutting the air out from around himself Isamu would be able to slice right through the middle of the flames while sustaining minimal to no damage and could ride up the fire nearly undetected by the raging beast and slam into it full force as soon as it realized what was happening and it was too late. Dodging... and attacking in one fell swoop. Isamu knew he was going to have to try and duck out of range as soon as he hit as well, but he'd get to that when it came to it.
