THE GOON GANG

Alright then. I decided to make a new team, full of fun, bulk, and a tad bit of offense. This isn't a Stall team, nor is it Hyper Offense, t'is what Kody likes to call, Bulky Offense. I started with a core of my 3 of my favourite pokemon, Slowbro/Heatran/Ferrothorn, and decided to build around that. This team contains a couple of pokemon that I have never used before, so it has been really fun, but quite difficult at the same time. Enjoy :)

Team Building Process

485.png598.png080.png

So as I said, I started with a Core of Heatran/Slowbro/Ferrothorn, which in my opinion, is one of the most effective core's in the game. There is nothing this core cannot stop, it counters just about everything I reckon. The core itself set's up all the hazard's for the team, phazes, scouts and KO's just about everything.

485.png598.png080.png178.png

I noticed the core had some issues with Breloom, plus, I dislike them, they're annoying, so Eddie recommended I use this, thus far, its just been brilliant in general. It is the bane of Tentacruels/Roserade's. It's even been messing Tyranitar's around a little bit, as you'll see when I show the analysis. But really, hes there for bouncing back pretty much anything but attacks, and with his decent HP, and OK Defence(after evs/nature), he's become an extremely useful component to this team.

485.png598.png080.png178.png145.png

Electric weakness was noticed, so I added a bulky Zapdos. Her huge HP stat, and decent defences have proven to be excellent. With the healing power of Roost, you very rarely see Zapdos die's. Really, hes just there to jump into Electric/Ground type attacks, and make my opponent's /facepalm. All in all, an extreme havoc causer.

485.png598.png080.png178.png145.png639.png

Terrakion was added as a late game sweeper, after all the phazing, and wearing down of opponent's monsters, he would come in and finish everything up. His huge attack/speed stats make this one of the best sweepers in the game, by far. In my opinion, nothing wreaks havoc onto enemies like Terrakion.

485.png598.png080.png178.png145.png212.png

Terrakion was removed, due to lack of Priority in the team, and I didn't want to add Quick Attack onto him. Scizor is probably the best revenge killer on the game at the moment, plus, hes very synergetic with the team, having all weaknesses covered, and covering a few at the same time. Also, having him on the team makes the team almost completely immune to Toxic Spikes, which is helpful.

The Gang In-Depth

485.png

- SAWKUR [Heatran]

- Leftovers

- Flash Fire

- 248 HP | 8 SAtk | 252 SDef

- Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Stealth Rock | Protect | Roar | Lava Plume

Why Heatran?

This guy covers alot of weaknesses in this team. He puts up Stealth Rocks. I've added Roar to the movepool, simply because, Phazing is ALWAYS good, it can be used to get rid of a Set-Up pokemon, and scout out your opponents team - finding out which pokemon they have. Protect is there to scout, and find out which move my opp is going to use to aid in my next desicion. I chose Lava Plume over Flamethrower, simply due to the higher Burn Rate, so then Heatran can always stall out an opponent. He has enough SpDef to take an Earth Power (4x Effective) from another Heatran, and live with 20% HP, not that I would let it take that kind've damage, but thats the kind've bulk I'm dealing with here. Easily the best lead in the game for me.

Weaknesses:

FightingIC_Big.png - Xatu/Slowbro/Zapdos

WaterIC_Big.png - Slowbro/Ferrothorn

GroundIC_Big.png - Xatu/Zapdos

- FENIX [Ferrothorn]

- Leftovers

- Iron Barbs

- 252 HP | 128 Def | 128 SDef

- Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

- Power Whip | Leech Seed | Thunder Wave | Spikes

Why Ferrothorn?

Ferrothorn's brilliant Defences/HP/Typing, allow it to wall an awful lot of the metagame. With these evs, it has 352 HP, and 330 in each defence stat, so yeah, attack's dont do alot, in my opinion, its the bane of all rain teams. Power Whip makes for a huge STAB attack, which does around 50% on shit like Tyranitar, and around the same on a Defensive Politoed. Leech Seed helps drain opp's whilst im setting up on them, helpful for Pesky shits like Skarm etc. Thunder Wave Para's foes if you didn't know... which is always helpful, hax are hax, alls good. Spikes just adds to the inhumanity of the team. Inb4 Ferro gets RapidSpin and Roar.

Weaknesses:

FightingIC_Big.png - Slowbro/Xatu/Zapdos

FireIC_Big.png - Heatran/Slowbro

- TRUE BRO [slowbro]

- Leftovers

- Regenerator

- 216 HP / 252 Def / 40 SAtk

- Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Scald | Ice Beam | Flamethrower | Slack Off

Why Slowbro?

Defence and HP are brilliant, his HP is 385 - Which is a Leftovers number. Max defence and Bold make his defence 350, which.. yeah it pretty nice, he can take a U-Turn from Scizor, I like how Bug Bite Scizor's think they're gonna 1HKO, then get Flamethrower'd. Ice Beam hits Dragons and Gliscor's. Scald is there for STAB, and when burn is induced, it further utilizes Slowbro's epic defence, by lowering the foes attack, cause I'm sure y'all didn't know this. Slack Off.. yeah its rape isn't it. :D With the addition of Regenerator, Slowbro is one of the hardest pokemon to kill, as he can jump into any attack, and jump straight back out, and still end up healing instead've losing HP. Side Note - I'd recommend this to anyone who has a problem with D-Dance Dragonite, fucks em up bigtime.

Weaknesses:

ElectricIC_Big.png - Zapdos/Ferrothorn

BugIC_Big.png - Zapdos/Heatran/Scizor

DarkIC_Big.png - Heatran/Scizor/Ferrothorn

GhostIC_Big.png - Heatran/Scizor/Ferrothorn

- NIGGA EDDIE [Xatu]

- Leftovers

- Magic Bounce

- 248 HP | 180 Def | 80 Spd

- Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Roost | Light Screen | Hidden Power [Fighting] | Psychic

Why Xatu?

Good ol' Xatu. Saving me from spikes and rocks, reflecting status aliments back at the foe, stopping taunters...ah the list goes on. Magic Mirror is an amazing ability, and only shared by this birdie, and Espeon. I took Xatu for the job, because I wanted to be as immune to Toxic Spikes, and normal Spikes as possible. I try to be as careful as possible to prevent them from getting hazards up against my team since I rely on switching a lot to keep synergy going with a healthy team all around. In the scenario they get Spikes, SR, and/or Toxic Spikes up, I will only have Slowbro taking Toxic Spike damage, and on my other stall teams where I don't have MM, or ones without Rapid Spin, T-Spikes usually..well destroys me in the long run. Without a weakness to T-Spikes, and Toxic in general, I can stall for a bit longer which is what I am aiming to do, it's the most fun for me and the longer I can last and better score I have at the end makes the game more fun for me. The flying type makes t-spikes not a problem and sometimes I can let them get a layer up if Slowbro's already statused, giving me a turn to do something else instead of play switching games to Xatu, and save her for when I need it. This is like the first time i've used this pokemon, so how I have so much to say about it escapes me... I decided, this works as quite a good Tyranitar Counter - Hence why im running HP Fighting, does a fair bit of damage, plus his defence is high enough to just about take 1 Stone Edge.

Weaknesses:

ElectricIC_Big.png - Zapdos/Ferrothorn

DarkIC_Big.png - Heatran/Scizor/Ferrothorn

GhostIC_Big.png - Heatran/Scizor/Ferrothorn

IceIC_Big.png - Heatran/Scizor/Slowbro

145.png

- LIL WAYNE [Zapdos]

- Leftovers

- Lightningrod

- 236 HP / 104 Def / 168 SDef

- Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Discharge | Roost | Hidden Power [Ground/Ice] | Thunder Wave

Why Zapdos?

Zapdos is a key player in this team, it takes damage, and absorbs it, for most of the team, as it covers most of the weaknesses. I've chosen Discharge over Thunder Bolt just for the sake of being able to hax my opponent a little, which is always helpful. I've also added Thunder-Wave, as it's obvious when an opponent is going to change pokemon. You may notice I have 2 Hidden Power's listed, I GENUINELY have NO idea as to which to use, as they both have huge advantages, and disadvantages. Ground helps with things like Excadrill, Heatran, and other Electric types. Ice is brilliant for Dragons, Grass Types, and Gliscor's/Landorus'. Roost is there for brilliant healing, and removing the Ice weakness temporarily. With Zapdos' bulk, he can take a Rock Slide from Exca, and a Stone Edge form Tyranitar, which is always welcomed.

Weaknesses:

RockIC_Big.png - Ferrothorn/Slowbro - As there isn't any Sp.Atk Rock moves used in this metagame, slowbro can take any of them...

IceIC_Big.png - Heatran/Scizor/Slowbro

bar_blue.gif

212.png

- DRAKE [scizor]

- Choice Band

- Technician

- 248 HP | 252 Atk | 8 Spd

- Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Bullet Punch | U-turn | Pursuit | Superpower

Why Scizor?

This guy started as bulky SD and I decided on the CB set for scouting and the sheer immediate power! Sometimes I miss the set up then end game sort of thing the other set had but this one's good enough. I can eliminate psychic types with Pursuit, but most die to BP or U-turn anyway. U-turn is my main move that I use as I just slam shit hard and force switches to get more hazard damage going then I win games with Bullet Punch clean up's. Standard and effective pretty much. Also, as his weakness is covered by the team, u-turn makes it soooo synergetic.

Weaknesses:

FireIC_Big.png - Heatran/Slowbro

Conclusion:

Overall, I believe this team has been a success, I'm yet to lose with it, minus to Gary, when I had to leave (it was still 6-6). All weaknesses of the team are covered, making the team synergetic as fuck, also I believe it is balanced to the correct extent. Thanks for reading, if you just looked at the pokemon, and the evs, and not the description, you might as well gtfo, cause whatever u say is gonna be bullshit. Hope you enjoyed. Importable is below.
