Arkhi
Janus "So we've got to create a suburban bunker, huh?" He knew the task required only the proper materials. It wouldn't take long to patch up holes in the warehouse he had taken to calling home. "Well, if there's nothing more to discuss, then let's get to building," Janus said, eager to get to work. "I'll leave the setup to you. Unless you would rather role swap, I'm headed off to collect materials from the Industrial District."
Code: PIRULUK
Debronee and Yukine Yukine glanced around from her new vantage point. Faster, or wider. If she had more time, she would have preferred the wider path, for certain. As it was, she was pressed for time. It would be far more deadly to be caught without the spell fully set, than to be pursued in a slightly smaller area with the spell active. "The quicker path. We'll have to make do." Yukine narrowed her eyes at her escort's suggestion. True, it was entirely valid to leave a false trail behind, but still... her face darkened somewhat. "I'm sorry. It's far too soon for me to go anywhere near that place. Besides, any kind of attempt to plant a false trail would probably lead them right back here, assuming they can follow traces of magic, and pressed for time as we are, I'd rather spend that time finding a good place to hide. If we're lucky, the enemies may even decide my spell is a diversion and won't come looking for us in there at all."
Bfroger6
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Frog grumbled unwillingly, still pouting at the girl. He gathered all of his things, leaving the bloody mess on the floor behind them as he closed the door to the small room. "Do you wanna get yourself cleaned up here or are you gonna wait until we get home?" He asked the girl as they walked through the dimly lit hallways of he hospital. The place was creepy enough and even Frog was feeling uncomfortable staying there for too long. Seriously, what was the deal with hospitals at night, geez... Raindrop Valkyrie
Ashnard Shuffling... movement. Fast but the sound was heard. His excellent hearing was what Ashnard was mostly relying on at the moment. THe senses that were 100% certain that living prey was within the area. He definitely heard something, footsteps... some sort of climbing. He'd have to build up his speed again and pursue. He saw the flash of movement having spotted it out of the corner of his eye. He made a quick instinctual judgement on which direction it would be headed. He took a running leap towards the roof of the building knowing that the motion had moved up towards it. His immense weight crashing into the roof sending a crashing noise throughout the block. ((Definitely heard by Yukine and Debronee.)) The roof barely didn't collapse under the momentum from the leap but Ashnard then started moving, the target he was tracking... had gotten a good headstart as he had to slow down; At least Ashnard thought this might have been the case. His mind didn't really let him consider the possibility they didn't go far as most were so frightened by this form of his. But, from the visual clues and trying to use his heightened hearing he begin to try and locate the source of the earlier movement. Once more his belabored breathing could be heard by Yukine and her servant. This time, he was clearly in their line of sight. They saw the hulking form of the beast standing on a roof across from them however it had yet to notice their exact location. It was clearly looking for something and as it had leapt to the roof... it was safe to say it was building a trail on them, that they were the targets of it's hunt. Luck was on their side though for now. The Beast happened to be looking in the other direction not theirs. By the way it moved its ears back and forth and was scanning with it's eyes, It wasn't tracking by scent. It was using its other senses, mostly hearing and sight. It made sense for how fast the beast was moving earlier as it swung into the scene. One couldn't follow their nose at that speed without a high amount of interference from the air and other outside forces. Ceiling tiles cracked under his feet as they landed on the roof, so the racket he was making made it clear he was moving.
Chevaleresse
Noriko Lancer shook her head. "That's not exactly my area of expertise. I'm not Caster. You're going to have to do the setup yourself, and I'll either stay with you to make sure one of the other Masters doesn't jump you, or scout if you feel confident enough in your ability to remain undetected." She eyed the man in front of her again. "I hope you're taking this seriously. This is life and death, not a friendly sparring match."
Code: PIRULUK
Yukine and Debronee Yukine froze as a large crash resounded through the air, heralding the arrival of something...big...across the street from them. It seemed to be in the shape of a wolf, but it thankfully hadn't seemed to notice them yet. She noted the twitching of the creature's ears, as well as the systematic movement of its head. So... sound and sight. She said a silent prayer in thanks for the fact that the creature was not relying on their scent to track them, that would be far more difficult to evade. Without making a sound, while still in Debronee's arms, she used her left finger to trace a circle in the air. Bounded field. She then pointed her finger downwards and moved it up and down twice. Now. She then drew the letters "M, A", then gave a thumbs up. Magic OK. Trusting in Debronee to understand, she began to silently mouth an aria, a spell which she had used often. "Light of my pledge, heed my call. Hide us from the eyes of all." With a barely noticeable release of prana, a small barrier was created around the Master-Servant pair, causing light to bend around it, hiding them from view. Arkhi
Janus "This is life and death, not a friendly sparring match." Janus stopped, slowly turned around and stared straight into Noriko. "I've been living that way for fifteen years," he said, solemn, unyielding. "I understand what that means." He smiled a little, "So you've got to learn to love the little things, yeah? At any rate, knowing the grimness of the Holy Grail War, you can tag along. I wouldn't mind the company."
Noir
The bellow of the howling beast echoed within the night as a powerful impact surged within the roof. So you've come, he thought. Whatever you are. The creature's silhouette within the dark revealed only a canine-like snout and sharp, twitching ears, moving in the wind, in an attempt to sense for the most silent or sound. Its presence made the two much more wary, as he sensed slight movement from her master's lips -- perhaps in prayer of hoping nothing bad would happen, or the fortune of the both of them not being seen by it yet. His hunch was correct; the wolf was exceedingly savage. It didn't know we were here in the first place, he assumed, the words unspoken, hidden in his head. Someone -- its master, perhaps -- had guessed so. An aggressive play. Recalling the possibility in that he might have left some sort of sign and clue that led the beast here, he blamed himself again in his mind. Yukine seemed convinced that the creature no longer tracked them through mana; casting a spell that hid their presence after her fingers gestured in understandable signals, she now permitted him to use mana, realizing that while -- or now -- that the enemy was near, it couldn't track them through magic as they first suspected, and tried to avoid. A mild skepticism remained in him at his Master's order, knowing that despite his master's consent, he knew that he needed to expend the mana sparingly; Yukine had already used quite some portion of her magic, and Debronee pondered upon the possibility that they couldn't judge that beast's sensory skills that lightly yet. "Pray my steps reveal not our stature to the adversary," He whispered, barely detectable for Yukine. Thankfully, the enemy's position did not affect their decided route, as he readied himself for his descent from the roof, knowing that one slip up would mean a result beyond consequential. Debronee descended silently with his Phantasm, now more comfortable with his standard speed, across the straight road, urging to distance himself and Yukine from the beast as further away as possible. Sprinting -- or gliding, to unkeen eyes -- along the undeviating road, he was determined to put his Master's plan set in action without flaw. Heeding the order to slow down between a fifty-meter interval -- allowing Yukine, with her enchanted strands of hair clutched in her fist, to scatter the inconspicuous threads -- Debronee encircled the vicinity as quiet as the night, yet as swift as a flying arrow, all the while knowing that speed was no longer the important factor; the enemy couid still sense them by sound. Fifteen minutes had passed. Carefully maneuvering around their foe, ((using Flicker approximately thrice)) Debronee had escorted his Master around ninety-four spots around the vicinity. Seeing that his task was nearly complete, Debronee simultaneously committed to the next, his scarlet orbs darting around the houses that aligned beside them; some were of total darkness, others leaving traces of light beneath the doors and windows. "Master," He addressed, as he took Yukine to the ninety-fifth spot. "Would you prefer to blend in with the surroundings or head towards a more...discreet area?" Chevaleresse
Lancer The girl gestured in a generally forward direction. "Lead the way. I don't know this area, though give me a day or two and I could draw you a map. I plan on scouting out this place soon, when this place has some basic protections ready." She didn't comment on his first statement, though it resonated with her. Perhaps not as inexperienced as I believed at first. We should get along well. Noir
Debronee and Yukine "So be it, Master." He said, his steps unwavering, continuing towards a path that he knew not where it would lead them to. The short interval of five spots for Yukine to scatter the hairs finalized the area they wanted to cover. As Yukine left the final strand of hair on an unknown area, Debronee caught sight of a towering building in the south; what particularly appealed was the middle of it where the windows were empty of light. Debronee thought about how it would be wise to escape from the area, and the fact that the apartment didn't appear from far from where they was. Noticing a path that led out of the housing area district with thick trees aligned at the sides, he took it and hoped that the road would lead him at least close to where he wanted to go. "I have a thought, Master." He began, pointing towards the apartment while heading towards it. "Look -- that tall building with lots of floors. It seems very strategic, and it seems to be only a stone's throw away. I think this fork through this forest path will lead us there, Master. Although it's isolated from this area, I presume the beast will continue looking here for a while; and even if it does find us there, I don't think he'll be able to come to us without being extremely obvious.....unless it's able to climb up to that a height and barge in through the windows, likely as it may. Besides, I doubt its master would want to terrorize the people who live in there. I'm convinced it's looking for us, and nothing else. The only slim chances are sneaking in and finding a hopefully vacant room for use to take refuge in, but a good bet nonetheless, especially with our invisibility." Code: PIRULUK
Yukine and Debronee Yukine nodded in agreement with her partner's assessment. There was a patch of darkness amidst the rest of the lighted building, what appeared to be a single apartment with the lights off, amidst the rest of the apartments, with their lights on. Possibly a vacant home. As they approached the 7-storey apartment complex, Yukine immediately made a beeline for the unlighted window on the 3rd floor, trusting in Debronee to follow behind. Reaching the door, she tried the handle and found it, unsurprisingly, to be locked. She could ask Debronee to destroy the lock, but that would have made it obvious that they were in this apartment. Grunting slightly, she plucked another of her hairs, sending prana into it to Reinforce it, granting it the malleability of copper, but the durability of steel. With speed and finesse, she inserted the makeshift tool into the keyhole and picked the lock - a skill she had learned early, back when she was still fantasizing about escape. With a soft click, the lock opened, allowing her to open the door. Slipping into the apartment quietly, she held the door open for Debronee as she closed her eyes and focused. All around the city, in the boundary they had earlier marked out, a Bounded Field materialised. The area became instantly flooded with unnatural mist, a fog that drastically reduced visibility. The fog carried the scent of a strong perfume, A sweet scent designed to mask the smell of human lust permeated the air, overpowering in its intensity. The air within the field was supercharged with prana, prana bearing the vestiges of memory. The air was suffused with prana that carried memories of her life: every moan of pleasure, every scream of pain, silent begging, desperate pleading, words of love, shouts of rage, pillow talk, business talk, bland flattery. All of these, mixed together, amplified, looped, repeated over and over, creating a distressing cacophony of sounds and voices, vocalisations and screams. And this cacophony borne on prana, carried by prana, assailed the minds of any who had even the slightest sensitivity to prana. Naturally, this included herself and her Servant. She smiled in bittersweet recognition as she switched on the apartment's lights, the glow heavily smothered by the thick fog. She smiled because, as much as she refused to admit it, hearing those sounds made her feel at home.
Noir
"With this, we should be safe -- for the moment," Debronee remarked, a satisfaction welling upon his heart, despite the emotionless face remaining indifferent, as it had always. The sounds of the prana continued to echo -- unfamiliar voices oscillating the sweet and the bitter, words he would recognize and hear clearly if they didn't overlap together. The array of voices resembled that of his master's, giving away memories he found he had no right to question or press for. Magic goes to the soul itself, he thought. "Perhaps we should examine the room," He suggested, taking a few steps deeper inside, unable to see much clearly due to the vagueness of the fog, more or less recognize the objects there; he was an alien amidst his Master's society, although the inquisitive swordsman was determined to adapt to it as quickly as possible. For now, the first thing he wanted to assess was the furbishment's unknown owner.Rather, he wanted to know how long the person who lived here -- or people -- would be away from the place, and hopefully for a reasonably long time, perhaps out of work, or holiday. It would be a mess for them to be discovered of their inconspicuous break-in and be forced to run and hide again. Arkhi
Janus "Right, then," he clapped his hands. "We'll be passing through the Commercial District on our way to the Industrial District. Being frugal as I am," he grinned, "we will make due with what we can get. Those in the Industrial District make good enough a living, plus there's a scrapyard from which we can get building supplies." Janus put on his hoodie, then walked on out, breathing in the brisk, morning air. "Let's have a morning jog, shall we?" He whistled as he climbed a ladder leading to a rooftop. Raindrop Valkyrie
Ashnard ((Berserker)) Ashnard noticed still flashes of movement out of the corners of his eye, he never got a good look of any of them. He would've wondered if he was seeing things if he was more sane, but his cloudy mind didn't allow him this path of thought. His mind forcibly thoguht something was around and it wouldn't let him stop thinking so. He had made an attempt to follow the small flashes of movement only finding the leftovers of something... hairs? He knew they were something a trail probably being used to mislead him from their path. However... they were a path straight to where he wanted to go. Picking up the scent he followed behind not slowing his pace once. However, they had a great headstart one of quite the length. He kept finding more and more of these strands. His brain not equipped to notice much out of the ordinary or take an alternate route of thinking... he didn't think for a second they could be leading him astray. It would take him some time to catch up even at his high speeds. He also had to walk now rather than swing from building to building. Having caught the scent of a human he had to slow his speed to keep it by staying on the ground. The beast had some practice in it's human form at being quiet and discreet. It was an instinct now that he was on the hunt. His rage and hunger still made him foam at the mouth but he could focus enough on the path in front of him. It was all his focus on this that lead him ever closer to his prey. Vixen ((Archer)) "What the hell is that thing?" The blue-haired woman thought to herself. She had been looking through her binoculars taking a sweep of the city when she saw it, far off into the distance perhaps more towards the residential districts... was something out of a nightmare. A giant Lupine beast was making probably quite the racket as she saw it land onto a roof and then go back down. She didn't see it for long and only noticed flashes of it so often. It was looking for something surely by the way it was moving and searching stopping etc. It was clearly looking for something. Was it a servant? It had to be... but this thing wasn't human...what the hell was it? She had no idea what it could be other than she figured it wouldn't be of any of the knight classes. It left only really Berserker as a logical choice... It didn't seem like a rider and certainly not a Caster. Assassin possibly... but this would be a very strange Assassin if such was the case. She decided to try and keep an eye on it, but it was so far away she probably wasn't going to be able to. It was probably searching for another servant, but who? She sighed... What would she do? If she followed this Beast it might lead to another Servant and it's Master... but it certainly wasn't a guarantee. Also, there was all the other 5 servants still out there. It'd be rash to make such an open move right now, especially like this Beast was. Given the Kid's earlier orders, she thought it more wise to stay put. Even if her own instincts were telling her otherwise. Ashnard ((Berserker)) And all of a sudden came a sickeningly sweet scent. If it were any other, it would have bombarded them completely kept them from using their nose and most assuredly would have lost them the trail. Ashnard barely managed to keep it himself. But he was well trained in his senses, and while he couldn't just ignore this perfume scent... he could focus on the task at hand. That was what kept him able to keep on target. His mind so set on the task that it was the only thing on his mind. So much so... he hadn't even noticed the other effect of the bounded field. ((Mental Pollution.)) Ashnard didn't hear the sounds at all, his mind so focused on the task ahead they simply didn't register. He wanted only one thing and one thing alone to find his prey. The thoughts of tearing apart flesh and bone still the only things on his mind. He would feel that warm sanguine pleasure all over his fur and body once he found his prey. He would enjoy tearing them to shreds and basking in their viscera. It was all humans would good for... Killing. He surged forth, the thoughts brimming in his mind again. He wanted to find his meal quickly. It was already too long a wait. So much of his time wasted following this trail everywhere in this district. So many countless spots of hair used to lead him astray and try to convince him this chase was wild and senseless... but his mind wouldn't allow him to think there was no sense in it. To his mind it was but a long trail to his supper. And if it took this long... he'd have it no matter what at this point. 90 spots so far... Still finding more. The Werewolf gnashed it's teeth in anticipation. It had to be getting close now. It had to be. Soon... the crimson bath would be soon.
Code: PIRULUK
Debronee and Yukine Yukine shook her head quickly. "Not now. No time. Hiding is the priority." She hurried to the wall closest to the outside, furthest from the door, and pressed herself against it, facing the door, calming her breathing, making as little sound as possible, making her presence as small as she could, the invisibility spell still in effect. If that thing managed to track them down even in these conditions, through the Bounded Field she had created, they would be in a serious pinch. Adjusting her position so she could see both the door and the outside of the window through in her peripheral vision, she raised one hand toward the door, the other outside the window, casting a simple spell - one which any magus would know - but holding back the activation. She did have one trick she could try. She would attempt it as soon as she heard footsteps nearing the door.
Noir
Yukine was still wary. Admittedly, she had reason to -- Debronee sensed that the eerie, powerful aura was getting stronger, and heading nearer as they were here. Debronee postured himself beside the door; in such a way that whoever came in couldn't see him from front view, and the darkness and fog veiled him if the window would welcome its entry, opposite to where his Master was. He withdrew his sleek, ruby-coated blade silently, clutching it tightly with his gloved, clenched fingers. The room was now silent enough to hear a pin drop, silent enough for Debronee to listen to his master's wary, thumping heartbeat, while his own still remained steady and calm. Regardless of how powerful the enemy was, the unseen blade would be the deadliest; and a sword in the back would be better than two in the front. He was determined to perforate his blade right into the creature's back -- if it, somehow miraculously managed to find them -- aiming for the strike on the vulnerable where liquid blood would splutter uncontrollably, to pierce it through the back and straight into the heart. Or at the very least, damage it direly. All he needed was for it to come in; and in one unsuspecting moment, albeit reluctantly, with his Master at the ready, and Debronee, for the surprise attack. He now waited in anticipation; a growl, footsteps, something breaking. It would be the signal to be ready; for the strike, or the kill. ((Before this invites misunderstandings Hukuna I'm not saying I can kill you or beat you like that; this is just the Servant's POV where he thinks it would work.)) Raindrop Valkyrie
Ashnard ((Berserker)) The trail had lead him to an apartment building, form the looks several stories. It was a large compound, while maybe not the most lavish of places it was at least middle class so to speak. It wasn't amazing, but it was certainly not low end housing. This made it much harder for the beast to stay on target. Even though the target was burned into his mind... the thought of how many humans were here... drove him crazy. There were even more to slay and eat here...more than the female presence he was hunting right now. Hard... to... resist... The beast barely able to hold back from entirely letting go. Even through his mad enhancement he knew what he was ordered to do and that the one he was hunting was the most important. It'd be bad to start ripping into the humans here as it would alert them. For now... the beast could control it's hunger... it couldn't see any of the humans after all. It walked up to the front door testing the knob. It's claws clattered on the cold metal chunk as it tried to turn it. Nothing. It didn't even budge an inch. Locked. It near lost it's temper but it knew it could remove the door with minimal sound if it tried. It was that trying that was hard. It's mental state was so hindered keeping itself together was tough. The task at hand was the only thing keeping it from completely losing all sanity. It began to bash at the hinges with it fists. It tried to loosen them enough that it could get the door off. It took awhile... but it eventually succeeded in it's task. It followed the scent it was looking for, even though it was mixed with all the set scents of the area. It was actually the reason ti could still follow it. It was so faint, that the scents that lived here... were too obvious. They stuck out too much and there for were clear to not follow. Prey like humans covered their tracks or tried to make sure they were harder to follow. So, the scents that weren't hiding just were easy to ignore. They were clearly wrong. It's why the perfume even while nearly bombarding the senses didn't effect him much. It certainly made it take longer to get here than normal, but it only served to delay not fully obscure. It followed the scent... it was faint down the first floor. It would need to ascend. Quickly it went for the staircase hoping to climb up and see if it could get any more powerful a scent form the upper floors. It climbed quickly as it could, and as silently as it could. However it's size made that difficult. The stairs creaked under it's weight and it's hair brushed against the walls. It crept up the stairs to the 2nd floor but didn't have it's senses flagged enough so it kept going until reaching the third, it at first passed this too. However, it quickly realized that the scent was strongest there. It doubled back on it's path to reach the third floor. All was quiet as the Beast emerged at the end of the hall. All the residents currently asleep it would seem. Ashnard could hear the soft sound of breathing... humans... breathing. No... not, targets... not prey. Focus... Focus... Focus... Wait for the red mist... the river of lifeblood to run down your body. Wait for the sensation of bliss and ecstasy... then bask in it once right prey is found. The floor boards groaned ever so slightly as the beast crept closer and closer to the scent. It sniffed under each doorway to see if the scent matched... 4 doors down... nothing. It kept going... 5 nothing... would it be the sixth? Either way before it reached the door the next door apartments door creaked open. A woman... had come out awakening in the middle of the night. For what purpose? She was talking quietly on something as she approached. It made no sense to the Beast it didn't hear or understand the words. She groggily spoke more as she kept going down the hall. The Beast's darker fur made it blend in with it's surroundings so the woman didn't see it. Ashnard's mind couldn't handle it... he wanted to kill it. Murder the vile creature. He would have to do something to avoid being caught anyway. ((for reference... this is happening right outside the apartment Debronee and Yukine are in.)) He grabbed her mouth as he jammed his other hand straight up into her gut. Warm blood poured out over his arm as he jammed it into her chest cavity. Muffled screams came from under his hand. It was not slow... and it was not painless. This beast didn't know the meaning of those words. It growled lowly it was angry. This wasn't the correct prey. He didn't have time to enjoy this kill and he certainly couldn't leave it here. He dropped the body, as it lifelessly dropped to the floor. It was enough of a crash that anyone currently awake would have heard it. He licked the blood off his hands and claws quickly taking a little time to savor at least a little of his kill.
Chevaleresse
Siegfried The automobile screeched to a halt as the magus inside slammed on the brakes, nearly losing control of the vehicle. He stumbled out of the side of the vehicle, almost falling over as the mental assault reached him. It took a few moments of him leaning against the side of the vehicle, focusing his mind and running energy through his Magic Circuits, to regain the ability to move about. The cacophony still assaulted his senses, but Siegfried composed himself enough to function inside it. An illusionist, and a talented one. Berserker's presence seemed to be moving about with purpose, so he continued forward on foot toward him. It would be difficult to pick out any other magecraft when surrounded by this field, but the size meant that it would likely be hard for the average magus to maintain for too long, especially given a preparation that must have been hurried - unless it was set in place beforehand and only activated now. Lancer "I would join you, but I don't have a physical body to maintain. I'll follow you in spirit form." With that, her form seemed to dissolve into a bluish, glimmering dust, and then that disappeared. Her Master could still sense her presence behind him, but she was invisible to the naked eye. Rosesong
Sorry for the delay, though Natalie was still already standing Natalie Natalie followed Illiana's lead towards the library. The question asked of her was a good one, too good in fact. "Well, this is the first time the war has occurred and I know not why." She said, "I suppose that means we're the ones who get to make history so we should probably set a good example, whatever that might entail." They arrived at the library shortly, though at this time of night it was closed. "Alright, we should look for a vacant building to set up residence nearby." Natalie said, scanning the area, "There's an apartment complex over there, likely it has vacancies. Do you have enough money for rent or do we need to try to stay inconspicuous? If you can afford rent I recommend we spend the night setting up magical defenses and then speak to the landlord in the morning." ((Sorry, been a bit busy lately ^^; )) Nodding at Natalie's words, the blonde woman spoke up. "I have enough money for a month's rent, though not much more. Do you think this will take that long?" As she waited for a response, Illiana began walking around the apartment complex quickly, taking note of where each accessible place for water was on the outside of the building. With some satisfaction, she noted that there were three faucets that hoses could be attached to for use. It wasn't ideal, but it would have to do. Silently darting around the complex again, she turned all the faucets on, allowing them to form large puddles and making a mental note to turn them off before speaking to the land lord in the morning. Allowing the water to pool around them, grey eyes, searched Natalie's face once more, a realization having come to her mind. "Natalie, if this is truly the first war," Illiana spoke quietly, "how do you know about it and how are there stories and legends that I should know?" Troubled by the idea that they could potentially be pulling information out of thin air, and not knowing if the source was reliable, Illiana went back to tending to the puddles, which had grown considerably in size. It had been a long time since the water mage had performed defensive spells, and a longer time still for offensive water magic. I suppose I'd better get back into practice, she thought ruefully, crouching down to place a hand into one of the puddles that had formed in order to pulse a small amount mana through it. Closing her eyes, she began to chant in a murmur, recalling a barrier-esque enchantment she had learned a long time ago. "Where there lies water, clear gathered liquid Keep away visitors not so insipid." The water glowed a light blue, and began to stretch along the perimeters of the building until it was in a thin, nearly invisible line. Walking to the other pools that had formed, Illiana performed the same enchantment. When she was finished, the water lines had connected with one another. Satisfied that the charm had worked, she walked back to Natalie and leaned against the building, slowly sinking down in an attempt to recover her energy. By way of explanation, she huffed out, "Barrier enchantment. Should anyone with questionable motives try to come here, all of the water will surge up, bowling them over before returning to the state that it's in right now. Only lasts 24 hours." Code: PIRULUK
Yukine and Debronee Yukine blinked, then narrowed her eyes at the scream that resounded just outside. The line was crossed. Their opponent had killed an innocent civilian. Retaliatory collateral damage was now justifiable. As the door to the room had been dismantled, Yukine reworded her spell, shifting its focus to the space in the doorway instead. Adding another line that would ensure that the spell triggered the moment anyone stepped into that area of space, she tightened her focus, preparing herself, waiting. Raindrop Valkyrie
Ashnard The Beast still angry at the fact he had to kill... stared at the body lying on the floor. He needed it out of the hall. He only had this thought within his mind because he knew he still needed to find his target. This body would pose a problem if any of the the tenants found it and he would have many more issues if the whole building knew of his presence. His prey would easily escape in the panic caused by the revelation. Having killed one Ashnard resolved to just kill another human, or any humans that were sleeping in the apartment he was in front of. He'd dump his current body there as well. He cracked the door ever so slightly into the room just barely enough to know the door was open. He assumed this apartment was full of sleeping people... he would later find himself to be mistaken. This room... it was the one he had followed the scent to... the one he had been searching for had entered. However... due to the woman he never confirmed the door to be that door. As such, he thought it was just a random room full of sleeping tenants. He preceded with his plan not knowing what was waiting for him. He lifted the body by it's leg and through it into the apartment at full velocity. It landed with a wet thud against the far wall. It landed beneath the window... right next to the invisible Yukine. It was a mess of a body... to horrid to describe. It also smelled horrid due to much damage was caused to the abdomen. ((clarification... Ashnard didn't enter the doorframe... he also has no idea they are there. Basically... he was going to throw the body in anyway. I'm just seeing if the sudden motion causes Yukine to trigger her spell early or if the body trips it. Not Power gaming you... it's what Ashnard was already going to do, I might as well check first before posting that he enters since that action takes place first and I don't want to mess up the order of operations or anything.)) Code: PIRULUK
Yukine and Debronee Yukine didn't flinch as the dead body landed next to her. Quite the mess it was, blood everywhere and organs spilling out. Fortunately, her trap wasn't triggered due to the fact that the body belonged to a deceased ordinary individual with negligent amounts of prana, hence not being registered by the spell as an intruder, though even if it had, she doubted her wild adversary would have the presence of mind to understand the process she had invoked. Again, she waited.
Raindrop Valkyrie
Ashnard The Beast just stared directly ahead into the room. If it had known better... It was looking right where Yukine was in reality. However it's eyes weren't looking for the refraction of light caused by the spell, that thought hadn't even crossed it's mind. It hunted it's prey almost as if it was a normal human, this was quite the folly. However, Yukine could see it's pale green eyes in the darkness, they mirrored the light. Full of unbridled hatred they were. She stared directly into the visage of a monster, there was barely any man left in that... thing. One wondered how on earth it qualified to be a Servant... Either way, it slowly strode into the doorframe, not suspecting any retaliation.
Code: PIRULUK
Debronee and Yukine The beast stepped into the apartment, and found itself suspended, midair, in the air beyond the other side of the window. Flash Air. One of the simplest, most basic forms of magecraft, shunned and discarded by mages for its inability to contribute to the greater goal of reaching the root of Akasha. Displacement magic. The magic that allowed the equivalent exchange of two entities' spatial position. When Berserker had entered the room, he triggered the spell which displaced the space surrounding the entrace, replacing it with the space 10 meters outside the window. Therefore, when the creature entered the room, it instead "entered the space 10 meters outside the window of the room", leaving it suspended midair, subnect to the whims of gravity. Still unmoving, still silent, Yukine made no motion to indicate her presence in the room, silently watching the creature from beneath her guise of concealment.
