Chevaleresse
Lancer Janus would have heard the faint sound of Noriko taking physical form around a corner before she stepped out from around it. "Alright, let's do this. The first order of business is to get me a pair of shoes. I hate the infernal things, but you look strange without them to most people." The thought of having to wear shoes allowed her to hide her excitement about getting new clothing without an issue.
Bfroger6
"Nah!" Frog shook his head and waved his hands with a playful grin at Sylva. "I'm not even sleepy anymore, you know, so there're no problems." He said, pushing himself up and stretching. This was really happening, wasn't it? It was still hard to concieve that he had created-or well, summoned this little kid. It was a really nice feeling, succeding at something super cool like this. Makes you feel like you're special... like you could rule the world, you know. Frog broke off from his thoughts with a smile and then looked down at Sylva. "Want me to make something for breakfast?" Flux
Sylva and Frog "Want me to make something for breakfast?" Sylva's eyes widened as a grin spread across her face. "Yeah!" She threw her arms up in celebration. So her master could cook too? It seemed she'd get to try new things sooner than planned. "Mister Frog really is the best!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him in a hug. What other master would take the time to make breakfast for a servant? Mister Frog was super nice, there was no doubt about that. Surely they were a duo that was meant to be!
Bfroger6
"Alright." Peppilly, Frog marched out of the bedroom, expecting Sylva to follow after him, and towards the kitchen. Now that the sun was up, Sylva would be able to see the full apartment. The bedroom she had been sleeping in (which was the only bedroom in the house), was neatly decorated and kept clean, with orange colored walls and several spiffy, white/orange cupboards around the two-person bed. Two doors led out of it, one onto the small balcony looking down at the street (they were on the third floor in an apartment building) and the other led into the surprisingly spacious living room. The balcony itself was small, only big enough to fit the table (which Frog neatly gave away, as he found it useless) and several people, but it was nice to be able to get some fresh air, or maybe sit down on the stone cold floor of the balcony and browse the internet with the laptop or your smartphone on your lap, you know. The balcony had another entrance, the glass sliding door which led to the living room. Anyways, the living room was big, more than twice the size of the bedroom and colored brown, unlike the orange bedroom. In the middle of it was a round carpet and on it, a cleaned up table. There was a tv on the shelf which possibly served as the entertainment center, as a DVD-player had been put on the shelf below, along with a black Wii console. While some people collected snow globes from places they visited, Frog collected those laser crafted thingies which have some landmark engraved as a 3d holograph inside of themselves. They occupied the shelf above the tv. Anyhow, other than that, there was a cyan sofa in the living room (the one Frog was sleeping in; also, don't ask why mix brown with cyan, just endure the strain it puts on your eyes) and two fitting armchairs of the same color. The living room led into a hallway which led to the kitchen which had an open view towards the living room and further down, forking either towards the bathroom or the exit door. Frog led Sylva into the living room, having her take a seat at the table while he went into the kitchen. When he entered, he waved at her through the hole in the wall, picking up two slices of toast. "Now, do you want some toast or do you wants some toast?" He grinned, holding the toast up so that the girl could see.
Rosesong
Stretching herself once more, Illiana blushed as her stomach made its presence felt in the form of a loud gurgling. "I think there might be a diner this way," she mumbled, desperately trying to silence her need of food. Taking the lead, the blonde scanned both sides of the street, trying to be vigilant of other mages as well as find somewhere that would give them something to eat. "Natalie, what should our goals be for today, apart from securing our location and doing research?" the water mage questioned idly, clapping her hands together with joy as she spotted a cafe a few more yards down, across the street. Continuing her thinking quietly to Natalie as they neared the cafe, she added, "I know I should probably get back into practice with my battle techniques, and we should both get to know how the other fights so that we can work better as a team." Arkhi
Janus Resisting the urge to claim Noriko looked just fine how she did, Janus chuckled as he walked towards the mall. "Even calling you Lancer can be suspicious, so let's go with...." his mind wandered. "Anyway, if it comes to conflict in a crowded area like here, will anyone else be harmed? You aren't exactly of this world, it sounds like, so will that put the lives of others at risk? If people die so that we win this war, I suppose I could wish for enough wishes to wish them back, but I don't put faith in that loophole. Lastly, if there's danger, let me know," he adjusted his hand in his pocket to show the brass knuckle he carried.
Chevaleresse
Lancer "Well, the rule among modern magi is that under no circumstances is it acceptable to expose non-mages to any sort of spellcraft unless absolutely necessary. An attack in the open like this would not only draw the ire of the local military, but the Church as well - and you don't upset the Church and survive for long." Noriko looked about, her typical soldier-esque scan of the area continuing even in an activity such as this. Her eyes didn't seem to hold quite their usual hardness, though perhaps that was just a cover as her expression wasn't found on a typical teenage girl in a mall. Flux
"Now, do you want some toast or do you wants some toast?" "I want some toast!" Sylva shouted eagerly from her seat at the table. Her Master had some strange things decorating his house that she was curious about, but she brushed such thoughts aside. Right now, she just wanted to eat! She hoped that breakfast would consist of more than just toast; there were so many other things she wanted to try too. But even if toast was all she would get, she was still grateful. After all, her Master was taking the time to make her breakfast. What other Servant could say that? Sylva started humming a bright tune as she waited, bobbing her head to the light melody. It was another song from her world, a bright and happy song of celebration. She had a big smile on her face as she sat at the table, eager to experience the modern era. Bfroger6
Well that was easy. Frog grinned at Sylva one more time before nodding. "Alright." He turned around and dropped the toast into the toaster. "I also have some eggs. Imma scramble them, if that's alright with you. Oh, and we can put butter on the toast!" He shouted from the kitchen so that Sylva could hear him, although the second part was more him addressing himself than Sylva. Well, in any case, after a few minutes of egg scrambling and toast toasting, Frog would come out of the kitchen carrying two plates, each with some scrambled eggs and a buttered, still steaming toast on it. It wasn't anything special, but he wasn't much of a cook. He just liked when people assumed it. "Do you want some cocoa with that? I know I do." He added as he placed the plates on the table and jumped back into the kitchen to bring two cups, some milk and cocoa. "Alright then, enjoy! Hehe!" He said as he sat down and happily munched into the first piece of bread... ---------------- After they were done eating, Frog handled the table, placing the dirty dishes into the dishwasher, also washing his hands afterwards. He hated when they smelled like food. "You wanna go out right now?" He asked Sylva when he came back into the living room and checked his watch. It wasn't even 9 yet. He shrugged. "It's still kinda early, but I won't complaon if ya want to go anyways. We could walk around the city and such. Dunno."
Flux
Sylva stretched out her arms as she finished eating, letting out a contented sigh as Frog took the dishes away. "Master, that food was AMAZING! I can't wait to see what else the world has in store..." Her master returned to the room, asking the question she'd been waiting for. "You wanna go out right now? It's still kinda early, but I won't complain if ya want to go anyways. We could walk around the city and such. Dunno." "Yes!" she said excitedly, standing up in a hurry. "We have to go shopping, and CAKE!" She pouted for a moment, pulling the front of her dress. "We still need to wash this at some point... The blood looks a little suspicious..." Bfroger6
Eheh, of course. He should have guessed she would have been as excited about the food, as well as the shorts and cake. She seemed to be really lively, for whatever reason. If anything, that just proved how good he was at summoning her, ha! Frog raised an eyebrow at Sylva when she asked about the blood. "Oh, can't you like, get it off with magic?" He asked, curiously leaning down to her. "I mean, it's not even that big of a stain, and you did make your ears all... less pointy with your magic, didn't you?"
Flux
Sylva pouted... So he'd realized it. "Well I could do it with magic..." she started with a bored expression on her face, "but that would be booooring. I can do almost anything with magic, so that would be no fun." She broke into a smile. "I'd much rather see a washing machine at work. I wanna get a really good idea of how everything works here, y'know?" She relaxed herself again, staying silent for a moment before speaking again. "Though I suppose if you really want, I can just get it off myself..." She seemed almost disappointed as she murmered a short phrase. The blood disappeared as if wiped off by some perfect, invisible cloth. It took only a moment for Sylva return to her bright self. "All right then, Mr. Frog, let's go!"
Bfroger6
"Well, a washing machine takes time to clean your clothes, so if ya wanna go now, just do it with magic." Frog regarded Sylva with a grin before turning away. He glanced back when he heard her murmur something. The stain was gone, sweet. He grinned again. "Haha, that's better, isn't it? Now then, since we're both ready, come." He grabbed his wallet from the table and went towards the front door, opening them for himself and Sylva. ----------------------------------- Once the two were outside, Frog took it upon himself to guide Sylva a bit around the city as they walked towards the commercial district. As he walked, something popped up in Frog's mind all of a sudden and he turned his head to look at Sylva. "Hey, maybe you should take off that crown thingie, it's kind of out of place, y'know." Shamitako
Onyx It didn't take long for Onyx to restore her clothing to normal. While she did she sent a familiar to find the mage she had sensed. It took the familiar a little while to find the mage as at that range Onyx couldn't pinpoint them exactly. When it did she was able to see a mage as well as one other person, or maybe it wasn't a person. She sat down on her bed, trying to be sure of what she was seeing. "Archer." She called, "The mage I sensed has a person with an extremely high concentration of mana in them, or rather, they have a lot of mana that's walking around like a person. I think there's a good bet they're another Master. Right now they seem to just be walking around a mall, I'm sure they assume they're safe in such a crowded area." She considered their options. One idea was to try to have Archer take the mage out from afar, it would be a suspicious looking assassination, but nothing could be traced back to her or magecraft by the public. But if the enemy mage sensed her and was able to avoid it things would get messy. Plus that way Onyx wouldn't get to have any fun. The next best thing was finding some way to lure the opponent into a back alley or something, but that would be hard since she didn't have any clue what to bait them with. She supposed she could always make her presence obvious as a sort of challenge and hope they accepted, but that would remove the element of surprise. Finally, she could find some way to clear out the building and hope to block her opponent from escaping with the masses. But that had the issue of her not having the resources to create that large of a diversion. She supposed she would just have to see what Archer came up with. But it sure seemed like they actually were safe in that crowded area.
Raindrop Valkyrie
Vixen ((Archer)) "Hmmm, probably. It wouldn't be likely for an enemy to attack during broad daylight in such a crowded area. It is potentially dangerous to do so as well. Being found out isn't exactly a good idea. Luckily even if I take a shot and miss my bullet with disappear so it isn't like we can be traced ballistically... the perks of magic bullets I suppose." the blue haired woman said. She fumbled through her brain for things to do and to formulate a plan. It was probably best to get to the roof to get an eye on this person and perhaps his servant if they really were an enemy for the Grail War. Vixen did sigh out of relief though... she knew it couldn't be that being she saw last night... or she at least was pretty certain. That thing's appearance was much to monstrous to be walking around in such a crowded area without inciting panic. "Kid, let's get to the roof. I'll be able to get a better eye on things and perhaps we can get a visual on this mage, and the one following him." She didn't really wait for a response and started to turn around and walk towards where she accessed the roof before. Ashnard ((Berserker)) The presence of hatred that followed Siegfried got... strangely excited all of a sudden. Almost as if he could feel it's hunger rise to the surface and could feel the saliva running down his neck. That's how close the Beast felt to him. It was sensing something... perhaps a very faint scent... but it wasn't sure what it was smelling. It couldn't really speak up either so it couldn't explain what it was feeling to it's master. Luckily it knew better than to just materialize. After all it was bright out still... a Werewolf wasn't going to go unnoticed in the daytime... it barely wasn't noticed under the cover of night let alone now. Siegfried could feel it's hunger and excitement though... to the point it would be difficult to keep the thing under control if it broke lose. Much like the night before when it ran off. Rosesong
Illiana trilled with ecstasy, positively bouncy with how well the day had been going. It had taken awhile for the diner to seat them, but the wait had been well worth it. She and Natalie had eaten to their heart's content, and the food had been soooooooooooo good. The blonde had forgotten what Natalie had eaten, but she could still smell the glorious rice dumplings and the delectable chicken broth that they had been served in. Just thinking about them made her mouth water again. Natalie had, Illiana could only assume, gone into a deep concentration. She had tried to get the girl's attention multiple times, but to no avail-- after eating, the girl had simply disappeared again to wherever she went when not in a physical form. Not that the woman actually had time to dwell on the fact, though. After almost falling into a coma from the amazing food, Illiana had raced back to the apartment complex to meet with the manager. The elderly man had been very kind, allowing her to pick a small, cozy apartment on the first floor. In return, she had advanced him the first month's rent, leaving only enough in her bank account for a month's worth of food. The blonde shook herself out of worrying about monetary issues and focused on drawing her long hair into a ponytail. Natalie had said that the Grail War most likely wouldn't last longer than a month. Grey eyes grew dreamy as the girl paused, wondering what she would do upon leaving Seigishi, what adventures she would see next. Provided she made it out of the War alive, that was. The girl hadn't let herself focus on the death aspect because her specialty was healing-- there was no use for her to take the life of another. Until now. Sighing, Illiana shook her limbs out. Preparing to work out, she had changed into a thin long sleeve black shirt and blue shorts over black tights. For this warm up session, the girl decided that going barefoot would be most beneficial to her cause of Kali practice. After a quick run around to make sure that the water barrier was still in place, and turning on a few of the water spouts to feed more water to the circle, the girl grasped a long tree branch she had found on the ground and began to focus. In Kali, students fought with weapons first, moving to empty hand when the had progressed far enough. Illiana figured that would be the best method to get back into the art. Wielding the branch as a baston, she faked blocking and returning a blow, only to end up flailing wildly as she lost her balance, ultimately ending up on her butt with a cry of mild pain. Climbing to her feet again, the girl sighed. This is going to be a lot of work...
Flux
Sylva glanced around the commercial district as they walked, a look of awe and excitement on her face. "Hey, maybe you should take off that crown thingie, it's kind of out of place, y'know." She was snapped out of her reverie by Frog's statement. "Oh, right!" She started, breaking her pace as she pulled the circlet off of her head. The blue jewel gleamed in the sunlight as she stuffed it into some fold of her dress. She had fallen a bit behind Frog's pace as she did so, and she took quick steps to catch up to him again, reaching a hand over to grab his arm. She looked up at him, her eyes bright with anticipation. "Where do we get to go first, Mister Frog?" She had trouble thinking of where she would choose, given the option. There were so many things here that she'd never heard of. Her excitement was threatening to bubble over, evident by how she kept bouncing off of her heels as she waited for a response. Chevaleresse
Siegfried The beast. . . it's restless. More than likely it just wants to kill something. Hopefully that "something" is an enemy Servant and not some poor woman minding her own business. He shook his head. Ashnard was a truly incomprehensible creature, utterly lost to madness and hate. He pondered what to do with the creature once this was all over, assuming it didn't result in his life ending. These Command Seals, absolute orders. That should do the trick, though I must say I feel less than secure with it sealed from harming me. The mage was drawing closer to two Masters at the same time, though he wasn't aware. A third Master-Servant pair also skirted dangerously close to his network; if they weren't careful, they would set the huntsman and his hound on their trail... Bfroger6
Frog grined at her as she put it away. "There, that's better. At least now people won't be thinking you're cosplaying or something, haha!" He smirked and waited for her to catch up those few steps she had falled behind before answering her question. "Hmm..." He put a finger onto his lips. "We've already had breakfast." He spoke up, more to himself than to Sylva, as if thinking aloud. "So we can't eat cake right now, and if we buy cake for later, we'd have to carry it around with us through all the stores, and that would be a drag... Alright then, we're gonna go get your those shorts first! And I know just the place, come on!" Frog led Sylva towards the nearest mall. ------------------------------------------- "And here we are!" Frog announced happily, spreading his arms wide as they entered the bustling mall. "IN CASE you don't know what this is, it's a mall. It's a place where you can buy whatever you want! Seriously, there are stores here for everything! We're sure to find you a whole bunch of different shorts! So many you will have trouble choosing just one pair!" Frog smirked playfully and stepped into the mall... A shiver ran down his spine, stopping him in his tracks. It was as if someone had sprayed him with ice cold water, a realization that something was... off. It embraced him in that moment, gripping him tight and not showing signs that it would go away... But when he tried to shake it off, it disappeared, leaving his boggled in his tracks, but eased that it was gone. In blatant confusion, he glanced down at Sylva. "D-did you feel that?" Shamitako
(OOC: Sorry Rose, giving higher priority to the interaction that's more likely to explode, I'll try to get a Natalie post up after I make a post in ANKL this evening/tomorrow) Onyx Getting to the roof was a good idea. Although Onyx wouldn't be as useful from up there. Still, she followed Archer up. "Archer, is there any way for us to communicate telepathically?" She asked, "Because it would be good if I could approach from the ground and let you cover me from afar." If she were able to attack the enemy master with Archer providing cover fire to help keep the enemy servant off her there was a good chance they would come out on top in an ambush scenario. Plus being on the ground would give Onyx more opportunity to possibly lure the enemy off or clear the building. If she couldn't communicate with Archer now, she would have to get some kind of comm devices for them in the future to let them execute such a plan. Raindrop Valkyrie
Vixen ((Archer)) "Having worked mostly alone... I'm pretty shit at it not going to lie." Vixen answered the bite of winter in her voice. She was telling the truth. If she'd be more of a team player perhaps she would've grasped it a lot better but being the person she was... she wasn't the greatest at it. Maintaining a connection would be difficult for her. However, her Master had a point. If she was more effective on the ground it was best to put her in a place that she could do something. "If we lose the connection or the link breaks... you must use one of your Command Seals to bring me there. I'm better from far away however I still have close combat training and can probably nearly match anything not Berserker in strength." She said. It was an estimate, and probably a bit too gracious of one. However her mana empowered her physical combat abilities as they were mostly a type of close range spell in a way using her body and transformations as a catalyst. To evaluate Vixen's effectiveness with her raw strength alone was a grave error. "Ping me when you get outside so that I can get a visual and follow your position. That will allow us a test of the signal. However... it be best if in the future we ahve a hard wired system to make sure that this has no chance of going out on us in the future. It's best to be prepared than sorry even if you over-prepare. Understood?"
Arkhi
Janus Janus and Noriko had progressed into the mall. Admittedly, he was a bit curious if he could pick up an article of clothing or two... maybe even a scarf. But beggars couldn't be choosers. He turned to Noriko. "Well, this is probably the most leisurely fun we'll have in a while, Lancer. Go for whatever you like." From his jeans he pulled out his wallet with a small wad of cash inside. "Just, uh... Nothing too flashy. And ears and eyes open for danger. I'll be on lookout while you do your thing."
Chevaleresse
Lancer Noriko turned and gave her Master a flat look. "You don't seem to understand how this works. I can fend for myself; you're the weak part of this team, whether you like it or not. So, you're following me. Better that we're taken by surprise together than you being caught alone." With that, the Servant spun to face the store she had picked out earlier, and began to physically pull Janus towards the front. Noriko wasn't exactly a weak individual in life, and Heroic Spirits were unimaginably strong; it was either go along with it or get some very strange looks as he slid along the floor. Arkhi
Janus It's not that he disliked Noriko, but it may have been that she was rather ruthlessly dragging him across a mall in public that made him peeved. Though, it's as she says: she's the tough one here. May as well bite the bullet and move on. "Oi oi oi, don't be pulling me left and right if it's just for fun," he said with a grin. "We're not here for fun, so get your whatever and let's head on home. I'm getting a bad vibe, Lancer," Janus noted, hoping for some kind of confirmation from Noriko. Flux
Sylva had stopped at exactly the same moment as her Master. "D-did you feel that?" She gave a crisp nod. "I can feel the presence of another Servant nearby... No. There's at least two other Servants." The childlike tone was gone from her voice as she said this. The magnitude of her true age and experience was present in her inflection. "I don't know if they intend us any harm, but they're likely around as powerful as me, if they've been summoned here as well." She closed her eyes, her lips moving at an imperceptible speed. Her mouth movements became a blur, yet no sound could be heard. She was casting an array of defenses, purposely complicating the verses so as to prevent them from being triggered by the ordinary populace. It would take a certain power to trigger the shields she had set up. They were invisible to the human eye, so it would not cause a ruckus. Her childlike tone and smile returned when she finished. The whole process had taken 2, maybe 3 seconds. She looked up at her Master, the smile still on her face. "I've put up some advanced wards. There's 25 different kinds, all layered together. It should hold through an attack or two if they are hostile, giving us time to react." Her Master could probably feel the power of the mana put into the various spells. If it were a normal person, those wards would be near impenetrable, but the power she felt from these Servants was different. They were strong, that much was sure. "Now then, let's go get some shorts!"
