4thWallCeci
Soooo... I've been having trouble beating Aya, her Muk and Tentacruel keep defeating Lawliet ((Meowstic)) so I have to keep reseting... Are there any strategies that I can use with this team to beat her? Current Reborn Team: Braveheart - Pyroar Lv.45 Fire Fang Rock SmashCrunchFlamethrower Lawliet - Meowstic Lv.43 Psychic Extrasensory Shadow Ball Charge Beam NutterButter - Emolga Lv.42 Nuzzle Volt Switch Acrobatics Shock Wave Draco - Noibat Lv.42 Agility Air Cutter Roost Razor Wind Vinny - Scrafty Lv.44 Brick Break Chip Away Crunch Hi Jump Kick Chestnut - Chesnaught Lv.43 Seed Bomb Mud Shot Needle Arm StrengthAnyone got any ideas? For some reason, the text is black... sorry... Lord_Ludo
For the text being black... just hit the eraser button in the top left corner to reset the text to the default white. Now, for the team. I had a lot of issues with Aya too, I ended up being able to win thanks to my Magneton. But another viable strategy would be to use mist or some other field changing move so ground type moves do normal damage. Idk if that would even help at all, but there are some alright ground types available prior to Aya
4thWallCeci
Thank you! I don't really have that many Ground Types... would Shellos be a good choice?
mde2001
Noibat isn't going to do anything until you evolve it and other than that your team isn't great for Aya. If you would be okay with training some new pokemon up both a Gothitelle and a Camerupt could help you with her. I never struggled with Aya so I'm no expert on her strategy but all I can say is good luck and maybe find a way to change the field.
4thWallCeci
Yeah... I might box him and go get my Shellos or Gothita and train those up...
Lord_Ludo
Eh Gastrodon doesn't really learn any useful Ground types. Check under the Grand Stairway and (I believe) there are Sandshrew and Geodudes. Phanpy's by Corey's gym are good too. Aya is around the time I started using a rotation team (with all 12 of my guys down below) and that system helps a lot in Reborn with how difficult some battles are
SkyRunner
I usually go for Psychic-types when it comes to beating Aya. Prankster Meowstic M running Reflect and Light Screen is a brilliant supporting Pokémon, so that your Meowstic F can last a few more hits.
4thWallCeci
((For the people who can't see my team~)) Current Reborn Team: Bravehearts - Pyroar Lv.45 Fire Fang Rock Smash Crunch Flamethrower Lawliet - Meowstic Lv.43 Psychic Extrasensory Shadow Ball Charge Beam NutterButter - Emolga Lv.42 Nuzzle Volt Switch Acrobatics Shock Wave Draco - Noibat Lv.42 Agility Air Cutter Roost Razor Wind Vinny - Scrafty Lv.44 Brick Break Chip Away Crunch Hi Jump Kick Chestnut - Chesnaught Lv.43 Seed Bomb Mud Shot Needle Arm Strength I do have a Phanpy... and NutterButter ((Emolga)) HAD Light Screen, but I stupidly forgot it for Volt Switch... SkyRunner
I would get rid of the Noibat. It's not at all helpful until it evolves, so I'd box it. Also, you should try to avoid double-posting. Down by the bottom of your posts, there's an 'Edit' option. Try to use it in the future.
4thWallCeci
I was planing on replacing Noibat, and I'm actually new here... ^~^" So thanks for the "Edit" tip!
SkyRunner
No problem. You should introduce yourself over at the Grand Hall.
4thWallCeci
What do you mean? Also, I do have a Stunfisk I could use, could that help? Also, I taught Lawliet ((Meowstic)) Safeguard, to protect from poison for five turns~
SkyRunner
What do you mean? There's a part of the forums called the Grand Hall where newcomers to the community introduce themselves. Actually, this is in the wrong part of the forums as well, anything team-related should be in Team Showcase for future reference.
4thWallCeci
Ooooooooh, okay! Thank you! And again, I am new here, guess ya learn new things everyday huh?
ShadowStar
I would recommend using that Phanphy. As a Donphan it will gai Earthquake upon reaching lvl. 43. You can also have your Emolga out to Spread Paralysis or use Acrobatics. The rest of your team is looking nice. Oh! Donphan having sturdy would be VERY useful. 4thWallCeci
Hm, I dunno, I might either use that Phanpy or this Stunfisk I'm training up... Also, I had no idea that the Byxbision Wasteland had not only Muk, but also Arbok and Weezing in it! Jealous of your team though! It's a lot better then mine! ShadowStar
I think Phanphy would be the better choice. My reasoning is because Sturdy lets it live a Super Effective attack (Dragalge/Tentacruel). You already got Electric coverage in Emolga. Also, your team is good, you got Scrafty and other good Pokemon. Good luck! Also, I think re battleable trainers in Grand Hall are available for training. SkyRunner
Also, I think re battleable trainers in Grand Hall are available for training. To confirm ShadowStar's statement, the Grand Hall Trainers are available for training after beating Corey.
4thWallCeci
Wait, what? Re-battleable trainers?! YEEEEEEEE BOI!!! Also... my Phanpy has Sand Veil... wish I had Sandstorm...
ShadowStar
What level s your phanphy? If it's not too much trouble, you coul catch one outside of Corey's Gym with Pickup. Pickup will be changed to Sturdy upon evolution.
4thWallCeci
My Phanpy just evolved into Donphan thanks to a dude in the Grand Hall with Lv.49 full-evolved starters! I'm happy with my Donphan so far! I just need to worry about her Tentacruel... but NutterButter ((Emolga)) should be able to handle it!
SkyRunner
Good luck! Do be aware of the Field Effect though, Earthquake, Magnitude and Bulldoze are all weaker there.
4thWallCeci
What field effect is it? Also, there was only one guy in the Grand Hall I could battle...
SkyRunner
The Wasteland. It's watching you. So is Fern, but how is that different? They change daily. Sometimes there are up to three different battles.
4thWallCeci
XD Hah! True! And man... back to the Byxbysion Wasteland to train then!
