Themed Pokemon Teams

Either I'm stupid or the search engine doesn't work as I liked to... however... with all the focus on competetive here, I thought I bring some sillyness and fun in here.

Instead of putting the focus on being highly competetive I thougt about teams based around a certain Theme from pop-culture, like movies, Anime, Manga etc.

Therefore I begin with a STAR WARS Team!

Rebellion(Heroes):

Luke Skywalker as Galade

- Psycho Cut

- Close Combat

- Calm Mind

- Aerial Ace

Luke the Hero... Psycho Cut is his Lightsaber. Calm Mind because of his Jedi-Training, Aerial Ace because he is a great Pilot and destroyed the Death Star. Close Combat for his relentless attack on Vader in Episode 6, where he chops off Vaders Hand.

Leia Organa as Gardevoir

- Moonblast

- Stored Power

- Calm Mind

- Captivate

Leia Organa, Princess of Alderaan... since Luke is Galade his sister must be Gardevoir.

Moonblast for her Combat(Blaster)-skills, Stored Power represent her 'sleeping' force powers, Calm Mind because she always keeps a Calm Mind... Captivate for her leader skills and that thing with Han.

Han Solo as Clawitzer

- Aqua Jet

- Water Pulse

- Aura Sphere

- Swagger

Han Solo, the outlaw, the smuggler... why a Clawitzer? - because he is great with his Blaster!

Aqua jet because, as a smuggler he is always on the run and needs to be fast... also HAN SHOT FIRST!

Water Pulse and Aura Sphere stand for his Blaster - STAB and Coverage.

Swagger... well Han loves himself and therefore he likes to boast about his accomplishments

Chewbacca as Ursaring

- Hammerarm

- Thrash

- Hyper Beam

- Roar

Chewy! Han's right hand and Co-Pilot. Of Course he is an ursaring... just look at them!

Hammerarm and Thrash for Chewbaccas RAW-STRENGTH as a Wookie. Hyper Beam is his Crossbow-Blaster and Roar is his iconic roar... what else?

Lando Calrissian as Landorus-T

- Stealth Rock

- U-Turn

- Fly

- Earth Power

Ok I admit... I only listed him because it was too obvious... Lando(rus)! C'mon!

Stealth Rock because it's a trap - like he did on Cloud city on behalf of Vader. U-Turn because, after he trapped the heroes he stood up for them to bail them out of it... he made a U-Turn!

Fly - he is a great Pilot and former owner of the Millenium Falcon... also his whole city flies!

Earth Power represents his position as president of Cloud City - he has Power/Control over the City.

The Millenium Falcon as Talonflame

- Flame Charge

- Brave Bird

- Heat Wave

- U-Turn

The Millenium Falcon... the fastest Ship in the galaxy... it made the Kessel-run in less then 12 parsecs!

Flame Charge to symbolize it's speed. Brave Bird, because it is a hunk-of-junk and you must be brave to ride it xD

Heat Wave symbolizes it's Firepower and U-turn, because Han decided to make a U-Turn and save Luke during the attack on the Death Star.

Empire (Villains):

Darth Vader the Bisharp

- Psycho Cut

- Focus Blast

- Torment

- Knock Off

Darth Vader... Half evil Man / half machine... what better than Dark/Steel type with BLADES on it's arms?

Movepool: Psycho Cut is Lightsaber, Focusblast his Force Push (and Choke), Torment... well he tormented Leia for information, and Knock off... well he 'knocked off' Lukes Hand.

Emperor Palpatine as Malamar

(Contrary)

- Psycho Cut

- Thunderbolt

- Superpower

- Foul Play

Malamar is always depicted as EVIL. So here come the Emperor - Thunderbolt is obviously his Force-Lightning. Superpower is... well his Superpower... HE is a POWERFUL being after all. Psycho Cut is his Lightsaber attack. Foul Play because he draws strength from hatred and stuff from his enemies.

Boba Fett as Mandibuzz

- Air Slash

- Heatwave

- Dark Pulse

- Roost

He is the coolest Bountyhunter in the galaxy. He is a Mandibuss because it is based on Vulture, when he targets his pray, it is already dead!

His movepool represents his weapon arsenal: Air Slash his ability fly and strike from above, Heatwave his Flamethrower, Dark Pulse his Blaster and Rockets. Roost because even the best, needs a break sometime.

Jabba the Hutt as Goodra

- Toxic

- Ice Beam

- Aqua Tail

- Dragon Breath

Jabba is a disgusting snail... Goodra is a Snail-like dragon... oozing sticky stuff... so kinda disgusting...

his movepool is based as follows: Toxic because Jabba is a Toxic being. Ice Beam because the freezing in carbonite thing with Han (yeah... he didn't do it but whatever). Aqua Tail - Jabbas Body is massive and I guess kinda wet with him being all slimy and stuff. Dragon Breath because from what he is and what he is eating... he must have a stinking breath (paralysis) ... I would have given him Belch... but Goodra cannot learn it...

The Rancor as Rampardos

- Head Smash

- Chip Away

- Brick Break

- Crunch

Sadly we don't see much of the Rancor... but a Rancor is a huge, strong, and heavy Creature... therefore:

Head Smash - for HEAVY STAB damage. Chip Away because it ignores defense boosts on the enemy. Brick Break to destroy Reflect and Lightscreens while hitting hard. Crunch because a Rancor has big teeth to eat the corpses it creates...

The Death Star as Electrode

- Explosion

- Thunder

- Gyroball

- Charge

The Death Star is obviously round...

Explosion... what did the Death Star... twice? EXPLODE!

Thunder is the Death Ray that destroyed Alderaan, Charge... to Charge up the Death Ray... Gyroball... well it is a ball of Steel... and it could be used during Trick Room

Hope you enjoyed and come up with your own themed teams.

(and don't start nagging about competetive... I already stated that they are not made to be competetive)

Wait a minute: you are making Star Wars references without any joke involving Gothitelle/Wobbuffet/Magnezone/Dugtrio and Admiral Akbar? Shame on you <.<

I thought about it... but then I thought... hmmm what do we see of Ackbar? ... him commandeering the fleet... and I couldn't fit him in there with reasonable reasons...

So I settled for 5 characters and the "big" Ship (plot-reasons)

oh and those Trap-Abilities... are totally NOT made FOR Ackbar... it is Ackbar who fell INTO THE TRAP!

Your reasonings would suggest that HE set the trap... because his enemies can't flee... but it is Ackbar and the Rebellion Fleet who cannot flee from the empires trap!

... yeah but what about Skarmorys Movepool then? what fits with Ackbar there?

The only thing I could see Ackbar as would be Vespiqueen, because of Attack-, Block-, Heal-Orders ... because Ackbar is the Rebels Commander... but Ackbar is not female and therefore Vspiqueen doesn't fit

There is just nothing that fits him otherwise from what we see from him in the movie...

I thought long and hard about this one. The theme for this team is the anime "School Days" Which I hated.

Kakuna

-Harden

-String shot

Gardevoir

-attract

-guillotine (you're not allowed to question my movesets.)

Lopunny

-attract

-Slash

Magikarp

-Splash

Magicarp

-splash

Magikarp

-Splash.

Essentially, the show is about this one guy (kakuna) who meets this girl (Lopunny) who introduces that guy to a girl he has a crush on (gardevoir) when she in fact likes him herself. The moves for lopunny and gardevoir are attract because they're trying to attract the stupid kakuna and Guillotine and Slash because of what happens in the end

WARNING: SPOILER

"lopunny" stabs him and "gardevoir" cuts his head off (also stabs Lopunny)

Anyway, Kakuna's set is because he goes around having his way with every unimportant Magikarp that crosses his path and Magikarp are useless, just like every other character in this show.

I'm thinking of a Soul Eater team next. That might be cool.

Ok Soul eater team

Dusknoir: Shinigami (Death)

-Brick Break

-Imprison

-will-o-wisp

-shadow punch

Brick Break is obviously the signature "SHINIGAMI CHOP"

And Imprison is there because he trapped the Kishin.

Scyther: Soul

-double team

-aerial ace

-Slash

-X-scissor

Yeah, just a bunch of cutty type moves (double team because he works on a team?)

Darkrai: Asura

-Dark void

-dream eater

-dark pulse

-nightmare

So, this one is because the "Fear" power that Asura has reminds me a little bit of darkrai's nightmares and so this one is based around sleep (with dark pulse for pesky insomniacs)

Seviper: Medusa

-endure

-toxic

-venoshock

-captivate

Ok, endure because she never freaking dies, venoshock just seems a bit like "Vector Arrow" to me and toxic makes that stronger, captivate is for that weird snakey thing she did to Stein.

Greninja: Black star

-water shuriken

-shadow sneak

-dark pulse

-substitute

Shuriken for shuriken mode, shadow sneak because assassin. dark pulse animation in 4th gen reminds me a little of his "Black Star Killing Blow: Big Wave) substitute for "dummy Star"

Purrloin: Brea

-Shadow Ball

-Seed bomb

-attract

-Double Team

Shadow ball just because magical cat, Seed bomb because it reminds me of the pumpkin halloween cannon thing, attract because she tries to take Soul and double team because Cats have 9 lives (what?...)

Thus concludes a team that is ineffective and useless but that I actually put some amount of work into.

That was the most disturbing show ever. more disturbing than Another!

I might watch it just because you say that it's disturbing. Guillotine Gardevoir or Megahorn Gardevoir with a side of Megahorn Tangrowth, which one do you think is worse?

This time he emerges from the Dark Souls-Series... please welcome:

Knight of the Sunlight - Solaire of Astora!!!

PRAISE THE SUN! \o/

Ninetails @Heat Rock

(Drought)

- Nasty Plot

- Heatwave

- Psyschock

Ninetails is Solair's lead. to set up the sun with Heat Rock + Drought.

Solar beam as his Signature Move, Nasty plot for Set-up, Heatwave for Sun-boosted STAB, Psyschock for coverage (also Nastyplot and Psyschock are reference to the possibility of him going insane)

Ninetails is chosen for the drought-set-up and because its nine tails can be seen as sun-rays as depicted often in drawings of a sun.

Volcarona

- Fiery Dance

- Quiver Dance

- Bug Buzz

- Solarbeam

Volacrona is a SUN-Pokemon, therefore it was a must.

Solarbeam is Signature Move, Bug Buzz and Fiery Dance for (boosted) STAB and Quiver Dance for Set-up

Sunflora

- Solarbeam

- Sunny Day

- Giga Drain

- Synthesis

another SUN-Pokemon.

Solarbeam... well Signature Move, Sunny Day to replay Sun if necessary, Giga Drain for STAB and recover, Synthesis for Recover in the Sun

Espeon

- Dazzling Gleam

- Morning Sun

- Psychic

- Shadow Ball

Espeon is also known as the SUN-Pokemon... but it is special, because it cannot learn Solair's Signature move, so I replaced it with Dazzling Gleam for Coverage. Morning Sun for recover, Psychic for STAB and Shadowball for coverage.

Rapidash

- Flare Blitz

- Mega Horn

- Solarbeam

- Sunny Day

A Knight needs a trusty Steed. Flare Blitz for physical Sun-boosted STAB. Mega Horn for coverage. Solar Beam is Solair's Signature Move... and Sunny Day, just in case the Sun has vanished.

Solrock

- Solarbeam

- Psychic

- Stone Edge

- Heatwave

Solrock may be the 'Meteorite'-Pokemon... but it's form resembles the sun, therefore Solrock is Solair's Ace!

Signature Move Solar Beam... Psychic and Stone Edge for STAB and Heatwave for Sun-boosted Fire-Type move... PRAISE THE SUN!
