What if it was somewhere in Venam's gym or the sewers after you beat the current version, not too many ppl would think to go back and check lol

Edit: Or maybe somewhere the corrupted cave, there were a lot of rooms with nothing in them.

I personally didn't have any trouble against valarie neither of the two times i run version 6. Vileplume takes really good care of her and luckily i stumbled across 2 calm natured 31 Sp.def Iv ones both times lol. But except for that a good swoobat can tear her apart by setting amnesia on first turn and then calm minds. (simple swoobat). Also would like to ask, what pokemon should i breed my staraptor with for my baby starlies to get double-edge? So far from the guide i've read only togepi line can learn double-edge and no other bird pokemon by lvling up x.x

The problem with Val is not just that her field is OP'd, but that she can basically ruin your run if you don't have the right pokemon for her on your team by that point since you're stuck on that silly island. Honestly if we were allowed into the jungle or something to catch more pokemon it wouldn't be as bad(which you could do before and I have no clue why Jan changed it)..

You shouldn't have to reload an earlier version of the game to beat her, which unfortunately some players had to do because they didn't have any pokemon to beat her with. Not even old Charlotte was that bad, Valerie was seriously almost broken in how the match could end up unwinnable.

Put some kind of obstacle in front of an area you need to go to, like a wall or a group of trees. The player will spend hours trying to find a switch or another way around, and won't be able to find one.

...but the obstacle was passable all along, because it was set to let the player pass through it in the tileset database.

I thought Keta was the most forgettable myself, even with two battles. Crawli actually kicked my butt a couple of times lol.

If you didn't have a psychic pokemon with you, keta could be a pain in the ass.

That made me just catch a natu to sweep keta.

Soul keta is hard for me tho.

Soul Keta was hard on my old file, but easier on my current. Living Keta, though, has always felt like trying to destroy a tree by biting it. (which still isn't as bad a time as I had against Marianette)

It's almost always the second gym leader that gives me trouble. Misty, Brawly, Gardenia, Lenora, Florinia, and Keta.

I hate to break on your evil scheme, but Insurgence already did this trick before, so the same trick won't work twice.

I think the official games have done it before too, but it's still not something that most people would expect, and not everyone has played Insurgence. If you mean Diana's gym, it was possible to just battle your way through without even knowing about the shortcut.
