Should I use Budew on my team?

I have that Budew that you can get in the Peridot Ward, but it's still not evolving, and in my game it is sunny out, but it still won't evolve and it's missing out on great moves! Should I replace it or no? I'm around the 2nd Gym right now...

It will evolve with friendship during daytime. Its a good pokemon.

But my lilligant is better . Sorry :v

Roserade is a solid grass type, so I say keep it. Try raising it's friendliness and evolving it before Florinia if you haven't beaten her already.

And make sure Ame doesn't see this. I've heard she has a hatred for budew

On sunny days in Obsidia Park, you can find a Petilil soaking up sunlight. You will need a pokesnax.

If you want, you can check this guide here :3

It helps a lot

I'm not surprised ame hates budew. It really eclipses all other grass types that early in the game unless you're using turtwig. That being said, roserade doesn't learn that much more with TM's in the game compared to lilligant, at least until we start getting some of the more powerful TM's. Nature power is the main reason, as well as toxic spikes.

Also it's pretty easy to breed good moves onto roserade early. I got sleep powder on mine before I even got to florinia's gym thanks to those bellsprout and vileplume nearby.

du it. and name it "<3 u Ame".

But in all seriousness, it may be better to wait til later on in the game since you won't be able to get Roserade for awhile.

Yeah I agree here. It was a little bit of a struggle for me. That's why I always sau Roserade requires a lot of effort to reach maximum potential but it's worth it imo. Early-game could be useful if you evolve Budew early. Lilligant is a nice choice as well; it's another one of my favorites. #BothTeams :]]

Roserade is actually one of those good Grass types. The only hindrance you would have would be it's evolution process.

Budew evolves through friendship in daytime. It's bound to be a long process unless you do something about it.

Roselia evolves through a Shiny Stone. Good luck sacrificing pokemon who evolve through shiny stone to evolve Roselia.

I'd say Roserade is pretty good. I even wonder why it's found in the early game.

I'm pretty sure Ame hates every Pokemon she gave Fern.

Roselia and Roserade are great pokémons. But Budew is noooooooo...

Not the exact words from Ame, but it's pretty close. Anyway, why don't you try...

Well, I decided to go with Petilil instead!

Well nevermind then.
