Maelstrom
Since I don't have time to do this except when I lose sleep to this computer... I'm making a list of the lists I have been intending to make. And then maybe update by filling out those lists. Feel free to do the same. What you choose may inspire me. So, here goes. List of things I kinda need/want my family to send to me here in Afghanistan. List of books I should probably read. (classics, probably) List of books I will eventually have in my library. List of things I will have in my dream house. (pool, jacuzi, dungeon, etc) List of movies I will have in my library. List of anime and manga I will have in my library. List of things I should learn how to cook. List of things I want to learn. List of things I want out of life. (probably a very short, yet very complicated list) List of words/phrases that describe/define me. List of things I will not do, the lines I will not cross. List of things that will make me cross lines. List of places/things I want to see. List of things I want to do before I die. List of people I miss and wonder if they ever think of me. List of people I can say I truly love or loved. List of people who are my enemies. List of pet peeves. List of actresses I think are hot, and those that are overrated. Administrators Ikaru Posted January 12, 2012 Administrators Share Posted January 12, 2012 I fixed that a bit for you. >> << Good choices though, I kinda wish I read books more in the past to keep an interest in reading; all I ever read lately while I was still in school was a bunch of halo books because I couldn't bother to go out and get something new. Maelstrom
I read the Halo books too, but they were nothing special. Just back story for fans. I've read so many books, but now that I think about it, I don't remember most of 'em anymore. I remember one semester in middle school I read so many AR books that I had like 156 points. Then I stopped reading AR books and still ended up #3 for the most points at the end of the year. When I want to read something, I will friggin' read it. To add to the book list... The Merlin saga and Heartlight, T.A. Barron (definitely a young-adult series though) Jurassic Park and the Lost World, Michael Crichton The Dungeon series, Jose Philip Farmer The return of a classic 'shared world' fantasy series created by Philip Jose Farmer, award-winning author of the RIVERWORLD saga. Plunging into a vast prison that spans a planet, Clive Foliott faces a fantastic world of dwarves, cyborgs and aliens unlike anything he has ever imagined. It is a multi-levelled collection of beings from the hidden folds of time and space. Trapped somewhere inside is Neville Foliott, Clive's twin brother and no creature in the Dungeon will stop Clive from finding him! *looks up AP reading lists* Cry, the Beloved Country- Alan Paton (see the movie with James Earl Jones) Count of Monte Cristo- Alexander Dumas Frankenstein- Mary Shelley Grendle- John Gardener The Good Earth- Pearl S. Buck The Grapes of Wrath The Old Man and the Sea- Ernest Hemmingway The Pearl- The Iliad and the Odyssey- Homer The Scarlet Letter- Nathaniel Hawthorne Z for Zacharia- Robert C. O'Brian Animal Farm- George Orwell Gulliver's Travels- Johnathan Swift And then there were None- and other Agatha Christie novels One Flew Over the Kuckoo's Nest- Ken Kesey Books definitely not on the list: A tale of two cities Heart of Darkness The Blind Assassin The House on Mango Street The Great Gatsby Huckleberry Finn Anything Shakespeare. 'cept maybe Macbeth. Brave New World I remember reading the secret of nimh. I just don't remember any of the content.

Maelstrom
My list of things I want to Learn: How to play the violin. How to play the piano. (although I'm pretty sure I'll find it very difficult. My pinkies fail me in rock band as it is) How to speak Japanese fluently. How to cook. How to box and/or a martial art. Hmm, shorter list than I thought.
Maelstrom
List of Enemies: Ashley/Tyler And that's it. Though I suppose Autumn gets honorable mention for being extremely annoying. The only two enemies I've ever had IRL were juvenile, irrational hatreds in middle school. When I ran into both of 'em later in high school, any and all enmity was gone. It was more like greeting an old friend than someone I used to fight with. I normally get along pretty well with everyone. If anything, I've been more divisive here on reborn than anywhere else I've been.

Or is that just Marines/whatevers? Though the rest of them are on my list as well, and the last one mostly accomplished. >>
Maelstrom
Marines definitely teach you more hand to hand stuff. They have their own belt system that I know of. During in-processing for basic this second time around, a guy coming in from the marines showed me the moves you need to know to get the first one, the tan belt. Army has combatives levels. The first one of which you learn at basic training and is often described as "knowing enough to get your ass kicked" because apparently you need the higher levels to be able to apply them so you don't get your face bashed in. Good thing I already know more grappling than they taught me. So yeah, all they teach you is the mounts, basic chokes and arm bars. No punching or kicking or anything like that. Oh yeah, but the drill sergeants get to punch you to pass the punching drill. You can't punch back, but you gotta somehow get close and get him in a clinch. If you can't do it, you don't get your lvl 1 certification. 5 levels of certification, I do believe. Plenty of trainees get knocked out in the process. Fun, huh. Maelstrom
If I made a video game of my life or a video game in general, this would be the soundtrack: Homecoming Of stone and steel (angry theme) This Path I Choose (righteous theme) Coursing Life (battle theme) Critical Hit! (Urgent Battle theme) Song of Tears Nostalgia This Mortal Coil (enemy theme) Darkness Holds the Answer (battle theme) I have more but I forget what they are, I have to find the piece of paper I wrote them on. Maelstrom
Added to list of things I want to learn: how to friggin dance. I'm like the tin man, oiled joints not included. Adult beverages do the trick, but I'd rather not rely on that... List of words and phrases that describe me, with bolded words being more prominent, I guess: Solid reserves judgement tough love confident easygoing bastard skeptical atheist scientist without goals or plans slow to anger needs to let go of the past Edited February 28, 2012 by Maelstrom
Yuki
I've decided and very much intent on shipping you some of those dried foods because me being a cheesey asshole I'm feeling the bit of money I got for my money burning in my pocket. Except that's way forward of me so I wanted to ask if that would be okay, and if so, how I would even do that
Maelstrom
I've decided and very much intent on shipping you some of those dried foods because me being a cheesey asshole I'm feeling the bit of money I got for my money burning in my pocket. Except that's way forward of me so I wanted to ask if that would be okay, and if so, how I would even do that Lol, that's totally fine by me and totally awesome on your part. And here's some copy-pasta about exactly that, which I put up for my family on FB. For those of you who want to send me mail, this is what you'll need to write on the envelope/box. PFC Delgado, Jacob TF Geronimo, TM Hatchet FOB Salerno- COP Bowri Tana APO AE 09314 The Post Office has a special form for shipping things to APO's (army post offices), and you won't be able to fit in all on the form. Trust me, I shipped some stuff to myself so I wouldn't have to pack it. For the form, the important part for the physical location is FOB Salerno because that's where the PO is. From there it gets pushed out to the surrounding COPs by the unit guys working the mail room. Don't write in the blocks for country, city, zip or anything like that- you'll put in APO AE 09314 into those lines of blocks. The people at the PO should know what goes where. Maelstrom
Things that would be fun to do before I died but I wouldn't be heartbroken if they didn't happen: Go to Europe. Appear on a gameshow. Appear on a 'reality' TV show. (actually, i'd be too self-conscious to be on tv with everyone watching every move I make) Better yet, appear on Ninja Warrior or MXC. xD Learn how to dance. Meet irl with (more) people I know from online- well, I think I would be a little heartbroken about that. I've only met Saya so far. Publish a book or some short stories. Chill out with someone famous. Cosplay. Things I should definitely do before I die: Write an autobiography, even if nobody will get to read it but me. Visit Japan. Visit Australia. Go to a famous water park, like the Schlitterbaun (sp?). Get a GOOD camera and take pictures of everything. Spawn more overlords. Work as a bartender. Construct additional pylons.
