RPGMaker help

Recommended Posts

Hello, I've been working with the animation editor in RPGXP to make some placeholder animations for moves that don't have any yet.

I'm testing out a re-skinned Icicle Crash animation (using rock slide as a template, will replace with icicles if it works,) and exported it as a "IcicleCrash.anm" file. Is there any way for me to get this file into Pokemon Reborn's animation list? Do I need to put it into the "PkmnAnimations.rxdata" file?

If I could get this to work, I'd be happy to put up some .gif's and I'd love to see if I could get a few of the more common attack animations made (Waterfall, Moonblast, Ice Beam.)

Cheers

Are you using the RPGMakerXP animation editor or the essentials one. I'd recommend using the essentials one (accessed via the debug menu or through the editor icon in a folder that comes with essentials. It is easier to use and helps with this sort of thing.

I'm using the essentials one. I have the animation working (my own sprite sheet/animation/sounds) and an exported .anm file, I just need to know how to get that .anm file "incorporated" into a working game.

I understood from the FAQ/help that game with RGPmaker that you need to update the PkmnAnimations.rxdata with the new animation to get things to show up, and I'm wondering how to do that?

Thanks for your suggestion!
