krim
Kanto: +Lance: Who doesn't like this guy?-Bruno: His design and team don't interest me at all. Hitmonchan was kind of cool I guess? Johto: +Karen: Dark types are cool. Her speech about winning with your favorites is something I took to heart. -Bruno: Again? Why did he have to come back?Hoenn: +Drake: Dragon user that dresses like a pirate. SIGN ME UP! -Glacia: I don't really like her design and personality. Also there are more ice types than Glalie and Walrein. (Even if I do like those two.) Sinnoh: +Lucian: He kind of reminds me of myself and has a cool design. Psychic is a nice type too. -Flint: The dude who in most of his appearances barely uses his E4 type at all. :/ Unova:+Grimsely: Love his design and pretty much every word that comes out of his mouth is interesting and/or quotable. -Marshall: Tbh I had to use someone elses post to even remember this guys name. Kalos:+Siebold: Interests outside of battling make him kind of cool. He has a life outside of sitting in the E4 chamber waiting an eternity for someone to show up. -Malva I guess?: Her personality didn't interest me and it was quite obvious she was a member of Team Flare. Wasn't surprised when she basically tells you.
Magicist Pyjamas
I like most of them but, I'll just state how much I like them Kanto: Haven't played this gen but read the manga Lorelei: I like her ice type specialty and her personality. Agatha: Being Professor Oak's rival? She must be hard... Bruno: Hmm... Drake: First Dragon Type Elite Four... okay, fun. Johto: Played Will: He looks weird but he isn't easy to face Koga: It is cool how in HeartGold and SoulSilver that he doesn't just specialize in poison types Bruno: You again? Karen: Don't mess with Karen. Hoenn: What is this region again? (OOH, Champion Steven is in this region! But who are you?) Sydney: ... Phoebe: ... Glacia: ... Drake: ... Sinnoh: My first completed pokemon game Aaron: A bug type Elite Four? Now that's cool. Bertha: Perceptive... the earthquake attack is frightening to my only high level pokemon... Flint: He knows his stuff about being a pokemon trainer and a person Lucian: Smart, yet hard. Unova: Hello? Do you have Black and White? Sold out? Are you serious? Shauntal: A journalist... huh? Marshal: Why do you remind me of Bruno? Grimsley: That Bisharp... it's strong in the game and anime Caitlin: Weren't you the crybaby in Sinnoh? Ooh, I remember you from battle castle! Kalos: Malva: Thanks for welcoming me. Did you actually defy your master Lysandre and gambled on brats? Good for you! High-five! Siebold: Mm, seafood, can you cook any for me right now? Wikstrom: Okay, it's an honest battle. No, stop, no poetry please. Drasna: Thanks for the welcome! I'm from Sinnoh too! Ooh... I was going to use a fairy type, good thing I didn't for that first one
Bluewolf
Gen 1: Yes: Lorelei - attractive, yes, but she's the only one of them who STAYS CONSISTENT WITH THEIR TYPING. Your knocking fooling anyone, Bruno, Onyx is not a fighting type. No: Bruno - just a very meh character imo. I appreciate that in future generations they didn't make fighting-type specialist so "I pick things up and I put them down". Because definitely was your generic fighting leader. Gen 2: Yes: Tie between Koga/Karen - Always loved Koga because ninjas and poison and awesome. Karen was just unique in both typing and personality and different approach to the mystique, so to speak, of dark-type pokemon. No: Will - he wasn't terrible but I just would've like more from him. Idk, maybe he was just a forgetful character. Gen 3: Yes: Drake - He was pretty badass. Especially That MegaMence second run through of ORAS, scary. No: Glacia - Same thing with Will: not bad but I wanna know more about the mysterious Ice-Queen of Hoenn. No such thing as a boring ice-type user. Show me somethin! Gen 4: Yes: Lucian - Classy badass. I really wanna see him with MegaZam. No: Flint - Bruno choosing a rock-type kind of makes sense as his wildcard but we should change your name to Blunt because I have no idea WHAT you were smoking when you thought that "Lopunny and Drifblim and seem totes great here." Gen 5: Yes: Grimsley - the definition of suave. You know you're classy when you have a coach in your arena. Also Dark types and his hair, Such great hair and fashion sense. No: Tbh I really liked all of them. Shauntal was creative, Marshal wasn't stereotypical, and Caitlin, although tired, executed the "fair princess" vibe that we got from DPPt Battle Frontier and was a welcome bridge between the two regions Gen 6: Yes: Siebold - Cool, collected, powerful, unexpected, just a really cool character. The chef idea was a nice touch as well. No: Again here I liked all of them. Especial Drasna and Wikstrom. The sweet grandma is a welcome deviation from the classic "HONE THE POWER OF THE DRAGON" and knights are just awesome, even if they do have fairy keys. DW~
Kanto: Agatha-easily the hardest out of the elites in Gens 1 and 3, she had a strict grandmotherly aspect to her that I liked Bruno-ew no, that team, that stereotype, honestly could've put work into himJohto: Will-gives off a similar to Radomus, and the have similar fashion senses, and that's besides based Xatu Bruno-as stated above, like they gave the rest of the Elite 4 a revamp, they could've afforded to drop him as wellHoenn: Sidney-gives off a rad vibe and he dared to use the based cactus lord that late in the game Pheobe-would've liked a bit more, and that's beside Sab/dualclaps with the PP StallSinnoh: Aaron- seems cool and I have to respect the first Elite 4 I've ever faced as a child playing Platinum Bertha-unmemorable, like I had to search up her name on Bulbapedia xDUnova: Grimsley-the man had swag flowing outta him, honestly in my top 5 favorites and he had a lord team Caitlin-that squad of hers was bulky and annoying at the same time, took me a while to beat her on my first run due to SigiKalos: Wikstrom: He's a knight, and his room had giant Honedge blades that span and sheathed themselves, it was bad-assery incarnate Malva: I didn't like her in general, and not much so after the team flare member reveal, also wasn't as cool as Flint
Froiky
Gen1 Fav: Agatha. She's a strong willed trainer and an acquaintance of Prof Oak. This alone gives her more of a story than the others. Not Fav: Bruno. He's kinda bland and he's an easy battle. Gen2 Fav: Karen. There are good reasons why she's at the top of the elite four of Johto. She's strong and actually has some good strategy. I've sweated when battling her. Not Fav: Will. While Bruno remains to be an easy battle, Will is quite the pushover. Gen3 Fav: Sidney. I was going to say Drake, but Sidney is the only member of this gen that doesn't have a duplicate of a pokemon. It gets boring battling two Banettes, two Dusclops, two Glaile, two Sealeo, and two Flygon. Sidney may not be tough but he has variety. Not Fav: Glacia. Out of the four members she doesn't stand out. Gen4 Fav: Flint. It was a good move to introduce this guy in Sunnyshore city. His friendship with Volkner and the knowledge that you'd be fighting this guy actually made the pokemon league interesting again following team Galactic and all the legendary business. That and he's pretty cool. Not Fav: Bertha or Lucian. Like the other least favorites I don't like these two as much because they don't stand out. They are simply a ground and psychic trainer respectively and not much more. Gen5 Fav: Grimsley. Do I have to explain this? He's the handsome dark character. He's like a cross between James Bond (cause he's a smooth gambler) and Batman (cause why not?). Not Fav: Caitlin. I know the backstory of how she was the leader of one of the original Battle Frontier facilities, and that makes her more interesting, but in gen 5 she's boring. Literally, she is bored of the battle and seems to expect to be blown back by any dark type. That doesn't make for an interesting battle. Also, all the gen 5 elite four get over shadowed by Team Plasma. Note: I have not played this gen, but I can have an opinion anyways. Gen6 Fav: Wikstrom. He's a literal knight. He has a sword and shield pokemon. Then there's the theory that his Aegislash is possessing him. From what I know so far about him he's awesome. Not Fav: Drasna. I can pretend that she's a badass dragon trainer, but compared to Lance, Drayden, and even Iris (who got plenty of character from the show) Drasna seems like an old trick. Alistair
Kanto Fav: Agatha. There's something awesome about this old granny being one of the most powerful trainers in the region. Least fav: Lorelei. Can barely remember fighting her. Johto Fav: Karen. She's cool, not much else to say. Least fav: Will. How did he even get his position? Hoenn Fav: Drake. He's a badass and has a nice design. Least fav: Glacia. I had to look up her name. Nuff said. Sinnoh Fav: Flint. He forgot to be stupid by actually using mons of varied types AND using Sunny Day to his advantage. Least fav: Aaron. See Will. Unova Fav: Grimsley. Reminds me of Setzer from FF6 with his gambler theme. Least fav: Marshal. Again, nothing memorable. Kalos: didn't play the games.
