Sunireic
Hey! After fighting Julia and her zapping team (11 defeats and 8 because of her damned flying pikachu!), I only won the battle with luck (she doesn't use the sonicboom and I crit 2 times her Emolga), so now I try to go-in with a strategy but without too much spoil (the in-game tv helps a lot) Now I have just finished the Pulse Tangrowth in the Obsidia Park and I'm preparing myself to face Florinia and her rock/grass team (thx the TV ^^), I try to catch every pokemons I can, there are so many pokemons I want to use and only 6 slots !, I didn't expect so many possibilities coming from a pokemon game it's really fun My team is : - My lovely Pignite (lvl 22) Ability Thick Fat (but he dont want to talk about it) FlameCharge / Smog / Arm Thrust / Defense Curl - Purrloin (lvl 19) Ability Prankster Puurrrrrsuit / Sand Attack / Cut / Torment - Pidove (lvl 20) Ability SuperLuck Air cutter / Growl / quick attack / Roost - vanillite (lvl 20) Ability Ice body Icy wind / Mist / Avalanche / Harden - Gulpin (lvl 20) Ability Sticky hold Sludge / poison gas / acid spray / amnesia - Plusle (lvl 20) Ability Lightningrod charge beam / electro ball / swift / wish My battle combo is to use my vanillite mist to improve his icy-wind, plusle wish or gulpin acid spray but I also have a Grimer and a Lotad (for the mist) and i dont know if they are better than Gulpin/vanillite In the corrosive mist Grimer can use acid armor and venom drench but Gulpin actually has a boosted-Acid spray, maybe i will kick plusle to use grimer for the gym-battle. What do you guys think about it ? I also have a lot of normal type pokemon, are they only good against ghost or did I miss something about them ? Also also, can I make a custom trainer skin ? I need to modify the game's picture so i ask first
TheGamedawg
Looks like a pretty solid starting team so far. Good luck with some of the later challenges. One of the other biggest appeals I've found to Normal types is that they often can learn a huge variety of abilities.
mde2001
Florina is a pure grass trainer but her ace is a rock/grass pokemon. You'll want to use Pignite to beat Cradily as it was be quite tanky. Your Vanillite, Gulpin and Pidove should be able to take out the other grass pokemon pretty easily. Another Felix
Can Gulpin learn Toxic Spikes?
Zargerth
Can Gulpin learn Toxic Spikes? Nope. However, Trubbish can, and is easy to find in the alleys.
The North Pole King
Some of your Pokémon are useful up to a certain point of the game. Like Gulpin for example, he learns Toxic at lvl 25 and it is soo useful (Yes i used Swalot on my Reborn journey) But a little later he will suffer, Swalot doesn't have ANY counter move without TM. And TMs in this game are pretty limited. What i'm trying to write here is: You should change some of your members through the history, but not now. Also, caught a Steel type, it will be so much useful in the next gym. So, you are heading to Jasper, am i right? When you finish the things to do here, you should take the policemans sidequest. You will receive a growlithe, then breed him and give the egg to a policeman at the Police Station in Jasper You will receive another egg, with a random pokémon in, its very useful. Good playthrough \o/
Sunireic
I finally beat florinia! Even with pokemon that counter grass it was really difficult, it cost me 7 losses to understand how her team/field works ( like do not use poison types against Breloom and ferroseed). It was the first time I battle in sand, and I had big trouble keeping my vanillite alive to use mist, but liepard with field-boosted sand attack is just so strong. And her cradily, damn I was afraid of Julia's emolga, but this Hulk-like monster costs me 3 pokemons before going down and the battle ended with just my Pignite with 8 HP So, you are heading to Jasper, am i right? When you finish the things to do here, you should take the policemans sidequest. You will receive a growlithe, then breed him and give the egg to a policeman at the Police Station in Jasper You will receive another egg, with a random pokémon in, its very useful. Yep now I have to go to Jasper and find the Poison gym leader and the missing policemans, I dont know yet how breeding works it's on my "Learn list" The problem is that my only good pokemons against poison are a woobat and a numel Let's just hope my plusle and my rollout-pignite can handle a Crobat So now I'm just at the enter of the Malchous forest and my team is : lvl 18 Numel : ability simple Flame burst / Iron head / magnitude / nature power lvl 21 Grimer : ability stench Sludge / poison gas / mud bomb / minimize lvl 21 Woobat : ability simple heart stamp / assurance / air cutter / charge beam lvl 23 Liepard : ability prankster Pursuit / fake out / cut / sand attack lvl 25 Plusle (with an item Xspeed) ability lightningrod charge beam / charm / swift / wish lvl 26 Pignite ability thickfat : Flame charge / rollout / arm thrust / defense curl
TimTim
Your lastest team seems impeccable, though mareep is a better electric type in comparison to plusle in my opinion, and over half of your team has common weakness to ground, you probably should do something about it~X speed is not for equip, it is used during battle, if you really wanna increase speed by hold item, salac berry, choice scarf and quick claw are the ones you are looking for~ as for breeding, the following can be your guide http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_breeding Edited September 11, 2015 by TimTim
mde2001
The field effect manual in the download could help you with learning fields. I don't breed my reborn pokemon and I do fine so I don't think you really need to worry about that. If you need to learn about it check out the guide in the Team Showcase! Congrats on beating Rini! Then they will show up as a Team Meteor members. If i remember right, they will give you a key to one "deposit" in Coral Ward, you'll find the Daycare Man/Woman here. I think that's all, I probably should have forgotten something. Tell me if it worked. o/
Luna
well if you wanna breed in reborn i would use this guide ---->http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10935 Also complete the Day care side quest so you can get a ditto early. ditto really helps in breeding also try and soft reset to get a ditto with at least 1 or more 31 ivs so you can have an easy time breeding perfect IV mons. well you do not need perfect IV mons or even perfect EV mons to complete the game. all you need to do is read up and learn the field effects. Learn to make use of the field or learn how to get rid/change the field all of which are in the field effect manual. As for improvements to you team: - Remove numel since u already have pignite as Fire type and replace him with a Lotad so you would have a Water type/Grass type - Replace Plusle with Mareep once you Mareep
Shad_
His crobat isn't so hard to deal with if you know what you're doing, however you could have some trouble since pignite is weak to flying types Why don't you train a zebstrika instead of plusle? it could help you more imho Edited September 11, 2015 by AndSoThereIsSt3ffo
Sunireic
Hey It's me again! So I finished Corey's fight and humm.. his end at the bridge. I have to admit, Corey's death really caught me off-guard. the fact that he saids he is not the only "meteor involved" league member, and we see Ame's pokemon just before his death, like it's a warning... damn For my electric pokemon, thanks to the north pole king and the reborn policeman I have a new challenger : Cute isn't he ? The battle against Corey in the corrosive mist was really fun and stressful I "only" lost against him 4 times! I open the fight with Grimer and used 3 times Minimise and mudshot his grimer, the skrelp and the nidorina, the croagunk was oneshoted by my swoobat His biggest pokemon wasn't the crobat (I used Elekid/Roll-out Pignite against him) but his Skuntank! I ended using an ACME-lavaplume-numel to kill him he was really tanky and got a lots of crits. Now I have to go to the grand stairway and Lapis ward, (Electric>>grass>>poison and now Bug, I haven't use my Lombre in Gym fight since I caught him xD) I will try to catch a rock, fairy or steel pokemon for the next gym fight. My team : LVL 34 Pignite heat crash / rollout / take down / arm thrust LVL 28 Tranquill Air cutter / Detect / taunt / Roost LVL 28 Liepard Pursuit / fake out / hone claws / Sand attack LVL 28 Grimer Sludge / poison gas / Mud bomb / minimize LVL 25 Elekid shock wave / Low kick / swift / thunder wave I dont know yet who will be my 6th member, a fairy or a rock pokemon I think, and my liepard is weak against the bug type so I will kick him for the next part of the journey (but I love his prankster ability and his speed ). If you have any advice about that ? See youuuu.

Elekid Mine was a Rhyhorn, my little big fortress~ You can get Swirlix in a puzzle on Obsidia's Candy Shop and a Spritzee on Lapis's Flower Shop Geodude is found beneath the grand stairway If you want, here's a list of where are all the pokémon in the game: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16407
