Maelstrom
Can it read two or more through it though?
Godot
It didn't read one, so idky it would read two.
Flux
There are fan-made drivers you can download to enable the Wii U GC adapter to work with PC. I've heard that it works for a lot of people, but it never did for me for whatever reason.
Combat
Huh, interesting. I might look into it once it gets out of limbo early access. I'm all for some Smash like games.
Shadolance
I have a friend that is ravenously into it right now. I guess I'll have to look into it. He showed me some gameplay and it looked a bit choppy and incomplete, so I might wait for a full release.

You are right about the incomplete part.
Godot
The game is pretty crisp. It is just early so there are few stages, characters, games modes, and really basic sprites.
Dark Desire
ah my gc controller adapter came in the mail today, setting up the controls weren't that difficult after looking at a yt guide, so far it's been working perfectly it'll take me some time to get use to using a gc controller again after playing so much 3ds sm4sh and if anyone wants to practice with me, steam tag: MrFameMonsta troyferriss add me you scrubs
Lord Bagel
I've been playing this a lot, it's super fun. Sadly I only play at school when my internet doesn't suck.

Maelstrom
Oh yeah, that IS the asshole Godot loves to play and whose combos piss me the hell off.
Godot
I still wouldn't call them Ken combos... Despite the fact that I missed a move that Fors steals from Marth. (down smash). Those are basic generic combos using moves that are in Lucario's kit. Pretty sure Ken doesn't play Lucario.

Those are basic generic combos using moves that are in Lucario's kit. Pretty sure Ken doesn't play Lucario. He's talking about the Ken Combo, which is the "F-Air, double jump, spike" at the end of that video, where Ken shouts "Ken Combo!" It's a true combo that Ken invented for Marth way back in like 2005, and Forsburn can do the equivalent in this game. (Which is something Lucario can't do.) Godot
Oh so Fors uses Lucario's kick to set up a true combo into a spike. Never tried that.
Flux
Anyway, we should all play some RoA some time, and maybe even organize a tournament at some point if there are enough of us. The game's pretty fun.

Flux
Well, any of you can find me on Steam as "Fluxator." I'm the only Fluxator on Steam right now, so it shouldn't be hard to get me. I'm the first result when you search.

Flux
New patch came out today! Patch 0.0.8 is live, introducing the new character, Absa! Absa is a Pan-esque character appearance wise, though she fights using electric attacks. She has a very strong ranged game while still being competent in close quarters, and seems like she'll be somewhat reliant on using the clouds she can set up effectively. I'll give the brief run-down of her moves. Double-Jump: I found this worth mentioning here because it's different than the standard double jump most characters have. It's very similar to Ness's double jump in Smash, with its angular trajectory. Jab (Neutral normal attack): Absa does a quick jab, shocking the enemy for 3%. If the button is held down, she waves her hand around, doing multiple hits, much like Mewtwo's jab from Melee. It only traps the opponent for a little while, so you'll need to cut it off fairly early to get the best use from it. F-tilt: Absa reaches out a hand, shooting a thin bolt of lightning across the stage for 4%. This move is AMAZING. It reaches so far (almost the entire width of a stage!), and comes out fairly fast, making it a great spacing tool. The hitbox disappears quick though, so it will require some aiming. I would not be surprised to see a nerf on this move before the final release, though I may speak too soon. D-tilt: Absa shoots a bolt of lightning towards the ground hitting the enemy for 7%. The move is close-range and comes out almost instantly, but it sends the enemy flying away (Not a kill move though), preventing most follow-ups. F-tilt is pretty much the best you'll get after this, though it's not guaranteed. The 7% is solid damage, so I see this being used as a combo ender at low percents or a means to gain space. U-tilt: Absa sends out two bolts of lightning at 45 degree angles above her (10%). This move can hit grounded opponents both in front of and behind you, sending them at an upward angle depending on which side of you they were on (Or straight up if you hit them directly above you). The move covers a wide range and deals good damage, so it'll definitely find use in combos. Dash attack: Absa puts her hands in front of her, shocking them enemy two separate times. The first hit does 3% while the second does 8%. It has a large amount of ending lag, meaning it's punishable on whiff and will mostly find it's use as a combo ender. F-Smash: Absa releases a small ball of electric energy directly in front of her that explodes after a (very) short duration. The explosion is about as tall as she is and covers a solid range, also sporting a very good knockback. It's actually a 5 hit move, though they happen in such rapid succession that it can't be escaped once connected, though if the initial hits miss, the final hit (the explosion) can still connect. The first 4 hits deal 2% each, with the final hit dealing 8%. This move can also be comboed into, leading to some strong setups. D-Smash: Absa spins around low to the ground, charging her hooves with electricity. The move is up to 5 hits long and is very reminiscent of Pikachu's down smash in any smash game. The first 4 hits deal 2% while the final hit deals 5%. You must be very close to your opponent when starting the move in order to connect all 5 hits, but you can reliable connect with 3-4 from a range. U-Smash: Visually, this move is an upward version of Absa's F-Smash. It has 3 possible hits, starting small and ending in an explosion once again. The first two hits deal 3%, ending with the explosion for 8%, launching the opponent upwards. Neutral Special: Absa places a small cloud directly above her (Or below her if used in mid-air), where it will remain until Absa uses it for another move or hits it with a sweet spotted attack. From my testing so far, only Absa's sweet spot's can remove the cloud. An enemy Absa can remove your cloud, but other characters cannot. A second tap of B detonates the cloud in a small explosion for 4% with minimal knockback, while charging B will create a chain of lighting between Absa's position and the cloud, no matter where she is. The charged version is VERY STRONG and has potential to cover the entire width of the stage, making it a great kill-option for Absa. The charge doesn't even take that long and can easily catch an opponent off guard. Down special: Absa places a ball of lightning above her head which encircles her body over the next couple seconds, slowly forming a ring. When the circle is complete, the ring detonates, dealing 11%. If Absa has a cloud active, the ring will instead form over the cloud. This move has great knockback, meaning it can and will kill at mid-high to high percents. It's a bit complicated to time well and work into combos, so it'll take some practice to master. Side Special: Absa sends a cloud forward which can be controlled with the control stick, much like Zelda's fireball. When B is released, the cloud detonates for 5%, leaving a small cloud behind to be used with Absa's abilities. Up Special: Absa's recovery move. She turns into a ball of electricity and dashes two separate times. The direction of each dash can be controlled with the control stick. It's pretty much exactly like Pikachu's up special, though not quite as quick. It hits up to 2 times, dealing 4% each time. The knockback is minimal with decent end lag, so it's not a move that should often be used offensively. Neutral aerial: Absa charges her body with electricity, hitting nearby enemies up to 5 times. The first four hits deal 2% each, while the final hit deals 5%. It's very similar to Mewtwo's neutral aerial from either Smash game. Solid combo potential here. Forward aerial: Absa kicks an electrically charged hoof forward in classic karate style. This move has a sweet spot at the very tip of the hoof, surrounding the opponent in lightning and generating massive knockback if connected. It's very similar to Zelda's forward aerial in Smash. Soft spot hits for 6% with weak knockback (better for comboing) and the sweet spot hits for 12% with great knockback (Kill move/combo ender). Back aerial: Very similar to Absa's forward aerial, Absa kicks both hooves backwards. This move also has a sweet spot that is reminiscent of Zelda's back aerial. 6% on soft spot, 12% on sweet spot. It serves pretty much the same purposes as her forward aerial. Down aerial: Another move with a sweet spot. Absa kicks one hoof straight beneath her. 6% on soft spot, 12% on sweet spot. The sweet spot of this move spikes, making it a valuable combo finisher and a great move in general. Up aerial: Absa creates an X of lightning above her head, damaging enemies for 12%. This move is great for juggler at low percents and becomes a combo finisher/kill move at high percents. That's pretty much the gist of it. I might add pictures later for each of the moves if I feel like screenshotting them, but I think most people reading this will just test for themselves. If there's anyone without the game that would appreciate pictures I'll be sure to add them, just let me know. Besides Absa, this patch also has a few balance changes (such as Maypul and Wrastor nerfs) and introduces Developer Mode, which allows players to attempt to balance characters themselves. Developer mode obviously only works in offline modes though. Anyway, the patch is out, so be sure to go play it!
