Guest MegaMagikarp
Between searching and testing I could not find anything on this; apologies if it is a repost/wrong category. I have my main team, and it is pretty sweet. Working out my subs, and it is equally glorious. In particular, one of my alphas is a far OP'd Blastoise; consequently, I bred him with a golduck to get a near-perfect IV psyduck. Well, my now-golduck has the ability cloud 9, which mitigates the effects of weather. In testing, I noticed that it works perfect with rain, snow, etc. However, it has little effects on the field. Is there any hope that in the future or other implementations I can play around with cloud 9 to make some ridiculous set ups or do field effects work separate from weather? Just a thought. I hope that the explanation was thorough enough and not too vague. Let me know what you think.
mde2001
Field effects are separate from weather. Cloud 9 only deals with weather. It would be way to OP if it dealt with field effects as well.
dead account
Field effects are separate from weather, you'll need to find other ways to destroy/change the field effects if you don't like the one that's active(or you could read the field effects manual, either way). ShadowStar
Fields are separate from weather. For example, you can have the Super-Heated Field in the Sun. However, Sun + Rain creates Rainbow Field.
Guest MegaMagikarp
Thanks, everybody. I got it! I was just thinking out loud. I did some research before on field effects (I have already finished E.15 and am familiar as well via playing); just wanted to test some different ideas. Cool cool!
