PcPichu
So to hide spoilers for those that do not want to read anything prior to playing the game I have this gap at the start. After this gap, spoils thar be matey! *YARRR* So, started off and found you literally got to pick all 18 starters....and I was sad it wasn't 19. I was someone whom started with Pokemon yellow then played red and blue. So Pikachu would have been my instant pick. I was tempted to take a fire type as in my opinion, outside starters and legendarys there are no fire types that synergies to me. That being said, never taken Froakie and it is a Ninja so... why not. I named him Zed I have a huge dislike for normal types, and wanted to try out some Pokemon I've not had before. I also do not like doubling up on types, unless I'm running my poison gym team. Runnign around outside the starting building, didn't find much I wanted and Zed rapidly hit lvl 12. At this point, I decided to explore a bit. Along the bridge I saw a Pachirisu. However I needed two Pokemon to fight for it...so went else where. I walked east a while and found this garden area and...no weedles. For what bugs are, I wanted a weedle but alas I found none. I walked back west to a secluded area to a random bin and miss hit trying to turn and grab an item and instead opened a bin to find a Pokemon - GULPIN. I have found this pokemon the only time in this game so far, so I am glad I got it. I named it Tahm Kench. I decided to go back and pick up a bidoof from the starting area after seeing someone wanting to trade a bibarell for a pink Pokemon. I thought...its a trade why not. After a bit of battling I got bidoof to evolve and traded...expecting a igglybuff or snubble instead getting a muna, a pink Pokemon I actually like! I still need to rename this Pokemon at the rater...I will name it Vel'Koz. I ended up adding a Poochyena and a Panpour which are currently just placement holders/reserve pokemon if my other 4 go down. My main 4 are lvl 16 and the other 2 are lvl 12. However I want to find something rock/ground/steel typed. Heck I might even go get a noibat from an area I found earlier. Sadly the first gym is electric so even with noibat I have effectively only 3 Pokemon to fight this gym with... Will I find a pokemon type good against electric types? Will I man up and fight this gym already? Will I bother to go a rename the Muna? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON PcP Z! Dragon116
I'm not sure if you're looking to play this game blind, but there are really helpful links pinned to the top of "On the Hunt" section, including an EV Guide that lists all the pokemon in an area according to time of day and percentage of appearing. It's a tad out of date (for instance, kriketune has been replaced by tranquil at onyx ward rooftop garden).
