[Answered] Mining for the Odd Keystone

I have been searching for the Odd Keystone for the past two weeks, mining rocks repeatedly via Soft Reset, and still I have not found a Odd Keystone to use on the rock formation in Byxbysion Grotto, just outside of 'its' chamber.

Is it true that the odds of finding the Odd Keystone in rocks that say that there are 2-3 items confirmed in the rock, while mining the rock, are more likely than the odds of finding the Odd Keystone in rocks that say that there are 4 items confirmed in the rock? I am almost at my wits' end searching incessantly for the Keystone, to no avail, at present.

I have been mining no end of Fossils, Shards, Plates, Stones, Rocks, Rare Bones and so on.

well the games RNG hates you i guess. you will find it eventually, just need more time and luck. and nope the number of items in a rock does not affect the likely hood of finding the odd keystone. i found mine while mining at tarzan depths and there were 3 item. you can find the odd keystone at any mining rocks you just need a little luck.

Hm, not sure if that's true about those of finding a Odd Keystone, but I can say that people generally had mixed thoughts on finding them. Some, like you, have had troubles even encountering one while others, including myself, have found so many that it is pretty ridiculous at times.

I would just say this is a case of really, really bad luck and that you just need to keep on trying or put if off til later on so that you won't become completely frustrated and never try to mine again.

It is entirely up to luck, and I don't think it has anything to do with how many or how few items are in the mining rock, actually. I mean, it might, and I may just not have noticed it, but... it seems unlikely to me. "Just keep searching" is probably not what you want to hear, but, alas, it is the best solution I can offer.

...Speaking as someone who still has not found an Odd Keystone in a run that's supposed to be centered around item hunting, however, I feel your pain.

Thankyou, everyone, for your advice and for your replies. I will keep trying to mine for the Odd Keystone in periodic bursts, as mining for hours on end gets tedious fast. I do hope that I will locate it soon, as I am re-mining rocks outside of 'its' chamber in Byxbysion Wasteland, which is taking me forever and a day to do continuously.
