Ragnar
“Hey, Toshiro! Want to battle?” "So you finally caught that mischievous cat, eh?" Toshiro said as he waves at Kay and approach him. "Sure thing Kay, let us test what kind of pokemons this region has." Toshiro said with a smile and heads towards the arena. Commander
Recap of the Battle Citrine and Wolt sent out their new partners in a one on one match. Wolt tried to distract Citrine's Rotom with a Baby-doll eyes, but to his dismay, both Citrine and Techie weren't paying attention. He then ordered Athena to destroy the leaves around them so that his opponents would actually focus. Unfortunately, Citrine seemed to be more focused on the clouds, but this all seemed to be a diversion while Techie charge up his attack. Athena then attempted to tickle the flying ghost...but it failed miserably and received quite a shock from Techie's Thundershock. Wolt then decided to try and go full offensive with a bite attack and while it seemed Citrine had the upper hand, her Rotom was OHKO'd by that Bite attack ending the battle. Meanwhile, Citrine's Skitty was watching on the sidelines being very skeptical at the strange battle that had occurred. It seemed her trainer had learned quite a few battling skills believing she simply faked the loss oddly enough. She gave one look at Wolt's Eevee ready to challenge them at any time before following Citrine off the field. Aftermath Citrine walked a little ways away from the field before grabbing Techie's Poke Ball. She released the little Rotom who was then doing circles around Citrine. The Skitty glared at the little ghost. For someone who just got knocked out, he certainly had plenty of energy to spare. This pretty much confirmed that Citrine pretty much faked that loss. It made her wonder if that attack even landed at all. "Man, that was a good show. You almost fooled me at the end there. I guess it just show we were born to perform." There was a grin on the girl's face while the Rotom tried its best to do a little curtsy. It's not easy when you don't have any legs. "So, I still don't recognize a lot of people. We should probably introduce ourselves, if you know what I mean." The duo had that look on their face that was asking for trouble which this Skitty did not want to be a part of. The Skitty was annoyed by the whole idea this was simply a show and not anything serious, but it did relieve her a bit. This girl certainly had skill and quite the potential to be a great trainer, but she chose the Coordinator path so it'd be tricky. Perhaps she could use that playful energetic style of the duo to her advantage. Everything about the battle made sense except one little thing: though it was all for show, why did she hold back in the first place? Giving 100% is almost always far more entertaining. K_H
Johnny looked to his partners, and they looked back at him. He was thinking about a second Battle, and so he and his Partners decided to watch a few other Battles while they waited for a new opponent to become available. On of the first ones they came across was the Battle between Citrine and Wolt, which came to a close soon after he started watching. He made a mental note to himself to have a Battle with Wolt at some point for fun and for building his Team's bonds. A bit after that, they ended up watching the ongoing Battle between Toshiro and Kay, wanting to see how they Battled so that he could have a slight edge if he ever battled one of them. Aurorix
Aftermath of the Battle Wolt headed strait towards a healing station after the battle, with Inigo following besides him. He wouldn't want to keep Athena paralyzed since he imagines it's a pain to deal with. Though that entire battle felt off to him. First she was acting all distracted, which was part of her plan. But what he couldn't understand was how the Rotom was OHKO'd by a bite. There were only a couple of reasons why this would happen. First is that Athena is a lot stronger then he realized and the Rotom was a lot weaker. Second Athena was able to get a critical hit on the Rotom. Third is that she was faking her loss. The first option can be written off since we all got our pokemon minuets ago. So it's either he got really lucky or that match was thrown. Though why would she throw the match? Especially with how close the match was getting. In his mind it could've gone either way. Heck at that point when the Rotom "fainted" she had the advantage thus far. Whatever the case, that battle gave him many questions a few answers which left a bad taste in his mouth. 'That girl is unpredictable, better keep a close eye on her in the future.' Cyaloom
Many students were already behind the gym when Lucas joined the crowd. He arrived just in time to hear Redwood's brief speech, but even then he would have needed to wait for all of the other students before picking his second Pokemon. The previous day he didn't really do much. He tried to get used to this new place by wandering around for some time, he finished unpacking his stuff, and thought about what Pokemon to get next. Not an easy task for Lucas, as he still had some doubts even that morning. Maybe getting a Water-type was the best choice, whereas Dark-types could have had better sinergy. When it was finally his turn, Lucas entered the room and let Grimace come out of his Pokeball. They could see many empty spaces scattered around the place, which was otherwise filled with rows of Pokeballs. The trainer was about to head towards the line of Water-type Pokemon, but then changed direction and reached one of the walls of the local, where the row of Fairy-type Pokemon was located. Another one of Grimace's intuitions? Maybe.Lucas' attention was caught by a Pokeball sitting near the beginning of the row. It was that rare Pokemon that sometimes was given away to good trainers in his home region, usually when it was still in the egg. After looking at Grimace, Lucas picked up the ball and scanned the Pokemon inside with the PoxeDex. The Pokemon inside was then released. She seemed very happy and excited that someone did actually pick her - but that was just her keeping faith to her Pokemon species. She looked like an egg that had already hatched, but Lucas knew what that Pokemon could have become if treated well. So why not give her a nickname right away? The Pokedex itself was prompting Lucas to do so. Nickname: ??? Species: Spike ball Gender: Female Ability: Serene Grace Level: 5 Moves: Charm, Metronome, Peck, Sweet Kiss It's a female Togepi with that Ability? Am I dreaming? Lucas thought reading the data. It's like it was there for me! How did everyone else avoid this Pokemon? After a while, Lucas came up with an idea for a nickname. He usually wasn't the one that would give interesting names to his Pokemon, and naming his Gastly "Grimace" was already a big achievement for him. "What do you say about June?" The trainer asked to the Togepi. The Togepi nodded happily and looked at his new trainer as he entered the name "June" onto the PoxeDex, then followed Lucas to the fields, staying by Grimace's side. The Gastly wanted to become a close friend of his potential check to Dark-types, and refrained from pranking June right away. That surely wasn't the right time. "All the fields seem occupied, so we'll need to wait some time before fighting." Lucas announced, watching the battles being fought in front of him. "But don't worry, as we'll do that soon enough". Chim
A lot of students were watching the last ongoing battles between Kay, Toshiro, Claude, Drake, Samantha and her opponent. Especially the last battle seemed to draw a lot of attention. Many students that had watched Samantha were impressed. At first glance the redhead looked like an easy, airheaded opponent. At least that’s what her male opponent thought when he challenged her with his Buizel. Only to be knocked out by Samantha’s Darumaka in two hits. The match was over in less than a minute and the young boy was on his knees, utter shock on his face. How? This was their first battle and they had the advantage… How could this loud mouthed girl be so good already? Samantha’s actions right after the battle made her opponent feel even worse. Caesar, her Darumaka, was hopping from one feet on another like a weird victory dance. Both Samantha and Louis the Chimchar had copied the movements, making her look like she was doing a weird street performance. All the excitement had caught Kay’s attention. His battle against Toshiro wasn’t all that far from Samantha’s field and they had clear vision of what was going on. Kay’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw the redhead, right when Panzer was about to roll over his Turtwig. “Herman, stop that Phanpy!” he ordered. The grass type raised his defense before slamming full weight into the rolling baby elephant, stopping it in its tracks. It was only a quick glance at Kay’s real skills. Not many people paid much attention to it because they cheered heavily for Panzer. “Good battle, Toshiro! It’s your win! I lost the moment I withdrew Princess.” A smile played on Kay’s face as he scratched the Turtwig under the chin. Princess, the Purrloin, was still glaring at the Phanpy before hissing at the closest people. During the entire battle a lot of the spectators were scowling at Kay’s actions. Cheater, I hope you lose and cheering for Panzer to crush the Turtwig were some of the ‘friendliest’ comments. The young RoG member didn’t seem to care. He had other worries on his mind. Matt was one of the students belonging to the crowd. He knew exactly why Kay wasn’t fazed in the slightest. In fact something similar had happened during their training. A few of their fellow trainees saw Kay as an easy opponent, including him. Until one of them was dumb enough to arrogantly challenge Kay and when he lost, blamed his Pokémon. Some abuse happened and a day later Kay’s opponent had a broken arm and cried as he apologized to the Pokémon he had traumatized. From that moment Matt saw Kay’s real personality. His roommate was cold, calculating and a very dirty fighter. In Matt’s eyes that wasn’t real strength. Even now, as he watched Kay leave, he felt nothing but disgust. The second RoG member quickly left as well to watch the final battle. That tall girl looked like she could put up a fight and until their mission actually made some progression, Matt decided to hunt for strong trainers. Drake, by first glance, could be someone on his list. After Redwood explained how the rest of the month would go, Matt continued doing what he did. He and Kay had received word that their first task would start at the Dragon Breeding Facility at the end of the month. They were ordered to make decent progression, without standing out, so at least one of them could obtain a dragon type. Matt interpreted the instructions his own way and decided to track down the strongest students. It wasn’t until two days after the first battle, Matt finally managed to track down Samantha. He had heard about her battle and was shocked when he saw her. What the hell was the top trainee from their squad during here?
