Reveal hidden contents Anyway, doing a full no-mercy run puts a global flag on your Undertale game basically. It marks you out as having done it, and the game reacts accordingly. But I agree; I can NOT stomach a no-mercy run, it's horrible, and I wouldn't manage to even take out Toriel. And when it comes down to Undyne, I think I'd let her win to be honest. If you haven't finished a Neutral Ending, though, you have to finish that before going True Pacifist. I'll put the conditions here in a spoiler; so if you want True Pacifist, finish the Neutral Ending (play through the game as you have been) then do the conditions. Reveal hidden contents x Kill absolutely NOBODY. x Go on a date with Papyrus; you have to flirt with him turn one upon fighting him. x Pour water on Undyne after running from her enough times. x Hang out/Cook with Undyne (visit her house). x After reloading your save file after the neutral ending, walk out and keep backtracking until you get a phone call from Undyne. Go to Snowdin, retrieve her letter and give it to Alphys. x Befriend and date Alphys. x Visit Alphys' lab and enter the "bathroom". x Complete the set of events there (I highly recommend you read the signs). x Finish the game normally; you will enter the fight with Asgore but an event will trigger before you can do anything. Reveal hidden contents I was lead to believe that while the dating portion was optional, and simply hanging out with Papyrus was all that was needed. I am sure that pouring water on Undyne is necessary though. As long as you get their phone numbers, I think should act as an indicator. You can use them to form an infinite money generation machine of sorts, but asides from that, the only use they have is for giving to Temmie during her battle. The coffin we found in the castle which has Chara's name is empty. It's said somewhere (don't remember where exactly) that Toriel took the body and gave it a proper burial. Also, with the patch of flowers in the ruins where you start the game, after you spare Toriel, if you go back immediately, you can see her watering those flowers. And with Flowey's attachment to Chara, it'd make sense that Chara was buried under those (Flowey grew them after the burial). And we also know that Human souls stick around after death, unlike monster souls. So what if, when we fell into the Ruins, on top of his grave, we absorbed his soul. If you give in to Chara's desires and do a Genocide run, they possess you; or rather, you let them. But if you do a pacifist run, you resist it, you resist Chara. star-kin Posted November 6, 2015 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Reveal hidden contents my thoughts exactly. chara is..well, chara. i like to think that both chara and frisk were intentionally searching for the underworld. maybe they had a shitty life and ran away from home. but chara...chara was abused so bad to the point of hating all of humanity... chara would like to inflict pain on others, making THEM feeling the pain that they felt while frisk would rather be kind to others (pacifist playthrough), not wanting others to feel the pain that they've felt. i really think that chara wasn't entirely bad at first...what could've driven them to despise humanity?-- Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had to watch runs of the game on youtube in an attempt to get some enjoyment out of it before everything got spoiled. I wish I could've experienced everything for myself.
