BlueMoonIceCream
I love this game and want to beat it to see the end of the story, but at the same time I don't want it to end. I'm at The Core. How much longer is the game, and will I ever see Toriel and Papyrus again? The core is the last area that you can fight monsters before the final boss. Another Felix
The core is the last area that you can fight monsters before the final boss. so the game is almost over. Damn, don't want it to end. Is there endgame content, or is the final boss it?
anethia
so the game is almost over. Damn, don't want it to end. Is there endgame content, or is the final boss it? the final boss is it; you dont save after beating the final boss so you just start from where you saved if you re-load iirc. thing is the game has tons of replayability and little things like that. I believe if you, say, kill all of the boss monsters bar one, the remaining one reigns the underground? I'm not completely sure.
BlueMoonIceCream
so the game is almost over. Damn, don't want it to end. Is there endgame content, or is the final boss it? Technically yes there is post game stuff but also technically no. I don't want to spoil too much so I'm just going to keep my mouth shut for the most part it all depends on what route you've taken Edited November 6, 2015 by micky33000000

Another Felix
Beat the neutral ending. The one character I was hoping to see didn't speak at all. Yeah, it was kind of heartfelt, but was kind of expecting everyone to see me off. Also, I never spoke to Undyne after dumping water on her. Do I need to replay the entire game in order to get her letter? Edited November 10, 2015 by Generalguy64
BBD
Sorry to ask this guy but is this game that good?I thinking of buying it but from what I read the story is super complecate and you can kill anyone you want so it have many ending and require many playthought right? So from scale from 1-10 what would you give this game and would you recemmend it?

So from scale from 1-10 what would you give this game and would you recemmend it? 7.8/10. Not enough IGN jokes. I love it, personally. It fixed the main problems I had with EarthBound, mainly being incredibly outdated and the combat taking forever. I would highly recommend getting it. Not too expensive, fun and funny as hell. But try to not kill anyone during your first playthrough since that will change how things happen in future ones. And for the love of Arceus, DO NOT READ ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME'S STORY! It's like the famous thing from Bioshock, something you should not see unless it's for yourself.
anethia
Play the game the way you see fit, and the way you want to play it. Don't spoil any of the story, enjoy yourself and you'll be fine. That's my advice, anyway.

Combat
^this oh and also the music. if you don't listen to the music, you're missing out. it can even help in some boss fights. Undertale's music has become a staple part of my playlist on my iPod, almost beating out Crypt of the Necrodancer for the amount of songs from one game. I mean, honestly, if you make your meme character(s) have a memorable and catchy theme for their village, you know you made a game correctly. Yeah, I went all the way back to see if there was anything. Since you can see all the monters in the overworld, I decided to go all the way back and see if there was anything special back there. And yeah, I get the part of only getting more questions. What confused me the most is how Asriel talks about the fallen human (Your name, not Frisk's name). Perhaps you're still a monster anyway. I really don't understand it though. and btw, I'm still fighting myself whether I should go for the No Mercy route or not.

anethia
I refuse to play this game because of Sans's grammar. Bad grammar is never funny and doing it on purpose isn't welcome in my house. Now this, this is going in my list of epic Reborn memes. Meanwhile there's Papyrus, who speaks in all capitals; but that's not my place to judge. Where my place to judge lies in the fact that you're refusing to play a truly great game (not without its flaws) due to one singular character and the way they speak, despite the fact that the said quirk literally only adds to the character and some of Sans' text has had perfect grammar. Not to MENTION Mettaton; who also speaks in all caps, Napstablook, and Temmie. I won't say your wrong, but I will say I don't think your reasoning for not playing this game is very solid. To be honest. It's one of those things where I saw on Tumblr so much I refuse to play on the grounds of "Get this shit outta my face". Also. It just doesn't seams that good, I don't like the characters, the world, most of thew music, and I also prefer my RPGs to more based on clever using of move over having the skill to preform those moves, or in this case, dodging them. Plus, and this might be a outsider looking in thing, but how the fuck os anyone going to get through the whole game WITH UNDER 25 HP! I'm sorry. I just can't. I don't care how well you can dodge, because this game sounds like one hit and you fucked. Also, Steam and I have no crdit card because I'm 15. So duh. And don't even get me started on puns. Like, bitch, please. I'll call Chuggaaconroy to teach you some REAL puns. But really, IT just looks like it's trying too hard to be it's own thing. After all, the saying "You need to know the rules before you can break them" is something I think the devs knew not. Also. Who the fuck wants to play an RPG where it punishes you for killing stuff? IT'S AN RPG GAME! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO KILL THINGS IN THOSE! FUCKING DUH! Plus.... I just don't wanna. You can't make me. To be frank, I'll stick with DS and 3DS RPGS. Say "Hi", really long list of games in that spoiler tag. Like.. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, Dragon Quest IX, The World Ends With You, Fire Emblems Shadow Dragon and Awakening, Golden Sun:Dark Dawn, Mario and Luigis Bower's Inside Story and Dream Team, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Bravely Default, all the Pokemon games from gen 4 and on, counting spin-offs, possibly Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, and Animal Crossing:New Leaf if you want to pull the meaning of RPG a bit it, Fossil Fighter:Champions (First one kinda sucked though. But the second one kicks ass), some DS Digimon games, although not all of them are good, and lastly-but-not-least non-RPG games that have RPG-like parts like the DS Castlevania games, Kid Icarus:Uprising, the MegaMan Zero Collection, the DS and 3DS Zelda games, and lastly Theatrrhythm: Final Fantasy. AT first I was not gonna put all that in a spoiler but then I chose to use everything I had in my DS game-cart case AKA a bead-case with compartments that are sized like DS carts. No really, try it! IT saves a lot of space not having to keep the game case, in my opinion. Plus you don't have to worry about getting used games without the cases. anethia
Also. Who the fuck wants to play an RPG where it punishes you for killing stuff? IT'S AN RPG GAME! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO KILL THINGS IN THOSE! FUCKING DUH! I'm not trying to force you to play this game; I'm just pointing out logical fallacies in your argument so you can further cement your own argument. There's no written rule in RPG's to kill things; the game doesn't force you to not kill anybody. It simply tries to point our that your actions have consequences that you can't escape from. This game has multiple playthroughs based on HOW you play the game and you aren't forced into any single one. You're basing all of this on things you've seen or heard; like your comment about the 25 hp thing. This game isn't one hit and your fucked like some games, it's far from it. You're supposed to die. You're supposed to come back, more determined than before to learn the patterns and win. Do you know how many times I died to some bosses? I believe I died so many times on one particular boss that the game text itself changed to say I'd been killed more times than I can count. There's no rules for RPG's to follow; this game points that out and deviates, raising an eyebrow at the traditional RPG method of grinding until your ten levels higher and steamrolling. I still believe that this is the type of game you need to play and experience to enjoy. The whole main stream thing is to be expected of a good game. Of course people will flock to it. People flock to things they enjoy and share it with people. I'm not saying "your wrong" or that your opinion is invalid or that you absolutely, 100% need to play this game, but I don't understand why you just browsed into a thread about a game you don't play and post that you're never going to play it. To me, that says you either want to be convinced TO play it, aren't confident in your own reasoning or just trying to start shit to put it very bluntly. Also, you stated you refused to play because of Sans' grammar, but the very next post your telling me you refuse to play because of the Tumblr fandom and you just don't want to. Both reasons are (one far more than the other) reasonable, so I'm just not really sure what it is.
DiLimiter
So, here's my general opinion on the game thusfar as I'm only like 2 and a half hours in and that's all I've been willing to put forward into it. I'd consider myself a veteran when it comes to RPGs. I've played all types of RPGs and there are some that just never clicked while there are also those that I'm willing to play over and over again. I've played Earthbound, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, and many others as well. I only just bought Undertale on Saturday or something like that. By this time, the game had been out for a while and people were having orgasms about how good it was. I heard it was kind of like Earthbound, so I decided "Eh, it's only $10, what the hell." I bought it, installed it, and put off playing it until the next day. I booted it up, played it for a couple of hours, and then shut it off to play Binding of Isaac. I am just absolutely bored to tears with Undertale. Right off the bat, I actually enjoyed it for a little while. I liked and enjoyed the little throwback to how games used to look during the retro era and thought it was a very fitting styling if it were trying to make something in the same vein as Earthbound. After the opening, I started to get annoyed with the game. I thought everything was just a tedious thing to keep the player occupied. The world opened up a bit, sure, but it felt so slow to progress anywhere. I actually enjoyed the battle system if that's any consolation that the game gave me. But honestly, it's just that (in my short time) everything felt so slow and I felt like nothing was getting accomplished. Eh, I'm not sure about it. Right now, I wouldn't recommend it because, honestly, I've seen this before. But I'll try and get myself to finish it sometime.
