Combat
Ahehehe. Thanks.. ^^ Well, also, has anyone ever thought of the fact that ALL humans can save and reset? I mean, if the player character was able to do it, along with Flowey, what more of the other humans too? Especially when they got out of the real world? For me, I honestly think that that ability, I mean, at least, the world-changing resets are only for Flowey and the player character, Flowey because his apathy possibly heightened his determination powers at a very high level? I don't really know though, I'm just spouting ideas. :s And for the player character because, well, the Snowdin Snowball game says that the red soul's innate power is determination itself. While that could also explain their powers with the resets, determination is innate in every human, so, for me, I think that the red soul's innate power is.. power itself. I mean, they were able to survive nearly everything that was thrown at them, especially the attack that Asriel threw at the True Pacifist Route. Again, this is all just speculation, so, please don't get mad. ><; This is me really throwing some speculation out there, so bear with me. I believed that determination may or may not be an inborn ability that some humans may have. Chara and Frisk were born with it, letting them use save and such. Now, one might wonder why Flowey was able to use it for his own measures, which is perfectly understandable. I like to believe that when Flowey/Asriel absorbed Chara's soul, that ability was obtained in a way by him. However, it was recessive, and required pure determination to be pumped into him in order to bring him back to life (as a flower of course). Now, I don't have an explanation for how Frick/Chara's determination began to overthrow Flowey's at the beginning of the game, or if it was the six human souls that Flowey gained that allowed him to use save states during his Omega battle, but something about the souls have been bothering me for a while. Eight humans fell to the underground, though for this argument I'm going to assume that Chara is an outlier. So, we have six human souls and Frisk, making seven human. It would take seven human souls to shatter the barrier. In the introduction to the game, it was stated that seven human wizards used their magic to form the barrier in the first place. What if the seven humans were descendants of the wizards? That could mean that each of the humans (aside from Chara) had some sort of inborn ability that was part of their ancestors powers? And what if Frisk's ancestor's power was determination? Perhaps the people who traveled to Mt. Ebott felt some sort of sorrow from their ancestor, some sort of calling? Perhaps that's why Frisk went there in the first place. Of course, I don't know if Chara has any connection, perhaps he/she was a distant relative or something, but the amount of souls always bugged me a little. Sorry if I went on a bit of a tangent, I always wanted to get this off my chest.

Vinny
K so I finished the No Mercy run And I'm okay with that, and I'm not okay with that, and I'm okay with that, and I'm not okay with that, and I'm okay with that, and I'm not okay with that, and I'm okay with that, and I'm not okay with that, and I'm okay with that and I'm not okay with that. Combat
If I'm struggling this much with Muffet, I'm sure Sans will be a bitch when if and when I eventually fight him On the seventh, twelfth, and nineteenth turn, pay Muffet. This will make the "pet" sections a lot easier.
star-kin
aaaaaa i had a bit of trouble with Muffet too. her fight is one that i kinda disliked. like please don't jump to conclusions lady i didn't kill your spider frens ;A; and you can't just believe rumours like that. like Undyne's fight at least has a good reason, she wants to liberate her kind which is p understandable. but Spider Dance is super good so...i guess i'll let it slide~ but have any of you noticed that Ghost Fight, Dummy!, and Spider Dance sound similar??? maybe it's just me. >.> and i'm pretty sure that the song that plays in Naptablook's house sounds like Spider Dance.. Muffet might have a connection with the ghost family, orrr Toby had to re-use some of the tunes. p sure it's the latter.
Tacos
Oh golly, did you not buy any Spider Donut/Spider Cider from the Ruins? When you have those, just eat them when you battle Muffet and the battle's over. Also, a trick that helped me is to dodge to the rhythm of the music. I think some of her attacks are synchronized to the music. Don't quote me on that though! Am not sure. :s Yeah um, I didn't remember that I had to talk to the webs to buy food, so I was really confused when she offered me absolutely nothing. I'll try that music method though and see how it goes.
star-kin
ye noticed that for a long while now spider dance is just ghost fight but fancier dummy is just ghost fight but crazier and well, muffet was just a character not made by toby, just inserted due to the kickstarter fund winner. but despite muffet's reasons for fighting you, she really blends well with the world of undertale. ah yes, i heard of that. and there's another character called So Sorry, right? So Sorry's creator donated 1000$ iirc...
Veterans Zumi Posted December 11, 2015 Veterans Share Posted December 11, 2015 is there a way i can see all 4 without being in a gif reasons 100/10 though would upvote 200 times there ya go c:
Juniper
@Tacos: wait, when you say you're going to have trouble with Sans, do you mean you're doing a genocide after that run? Because if you're doing genocide, muffet should die in one hit. Otherwise, as has been mentioned, you should have bought something from the web in RUINS and then eat a spider donut in front of her, she'll give up the attack immediately and apologise. As for the blook/dummy/spider theme: I'm pretty sure they're all remixes of each other. My brother said that Ghost Fight is the original but I don't know. My favourite is Spider Dance though, it's more lively IMO c: Edited December 11, 2015 by Juuzou
Kuma
Ookay, first: This is the very first time in years that I'm drawing and I decided to draw Frisk bcs why the heck not The face went much better than I expected, but the body... So I started drawing Toriel instead, and then Sans, and Papyrus, Undyne, and when I was drawing Alphys... Good nightmares for you And this is why you should never draw hard before finishing. Well, I just want to share this disappointment, the others were so good t.t Edited December 12, 2015 by Kuma
anethia
It's because you had Alphys on the outside of the friendship circle around the SOUL, thus triggering her brutal flashbacks and sad memories of being a lonely unwanted lesbian otaku lizard. Shame on you.
Juniper
Okay, undertale: done. Now some questions. (Yay....) Okay, so, I was informed of what the final ending would be long before I actually did it (Yeah, huge spoiler, thanks, bro) Question number 1: Give me some information on why the PC was green with red eyes? I was told that depending on my choices, either this would happen, or it would be a picture of all the undertale friends but all crossed out or something and that this green abomination was because I gave my soul to a psychopath or something. Question number 2: Interference sounds! I started getting these interferencey sounds, like when you put a phone that's sending or receiving a text next to an active microphone (Or something to this extent) approximately, after I got out of the elevator when it had vines on it in the second part of the pacifist run. Are these supposed to be there? or was it just REALLY coincidential? (They have been cropping up at creepy places, didn't notice them during the credits or anything though) Question number 3: So, as you can imagine, I just watched the credits, I'm now at the screen with "Undertale" and "The end" on it with some weird music (Have gotten interferencey stuff here too) Is there anything to do from here? Is this actually the end of the game? Is there any point in starting it again or anything? That's about all I got right now.

Vinny
Okay, undertale: done. Now some questions. (Yay....) Question 1: Lol do you not remember the ending of the Genocide run? Chara (or w/e you named "your character") was there. Green shirt. Do rebuild the world and play through the game again, Chara asked for your soul. And you sold it to them. Basically, Frisk (The original character) is no more. The body is merely a vessel, since Chara now is what controls Frisk. Question 2: Not sure, never had that happening. Or I didn't pay attention. Anyone else that knows, then please, answerino. Question 3: I don't think Flowey gives you the speech if you finish True Pacifist after a No Mercy run. Basically, Flowey would explain that all your friends are happy in the surface, and that you're the only one that can ruin that (By doing a True Reset, which would make you fight Flowey again in Neutral before you could finish True Pacifist again). However, since Chara gives no fucks, you wouldn't care whether your friends would be happy or not. Basically, that is the end of the game. It would make more sense if you finished True Pacifist first, but since you didn't, it's whatever. Only reset if you wanna see the other ending, or if you really feel like playing through again. Also I lied, this is my favorite song:

Vinny
I am still able to go and talk to everyone and walk around from the save just before going through the barrier. Ah yes, that. Yeah, but that's all you can do. So you can also see the other ending too without resetting, I suppose. But really, no point in resetting unless you wanna go through the game again or w/e
Juniper
Well, I don't need any other endings, I'm happy with the.... three I got x.x Lol, I just walked from the end all the way back to the start, talking to every character I came across. So I'm pretty content. Undertale can be a memory of a good game, not one that involved murdering everybody, selling your soul to make friends with them instead and then realising they would probably all die. I haven't really played much games with any kind of good story at all, So this is probably my favorite game :l Even if I played it wrong. star-kin
I find it really funny that the name of the game on my computer changed to "UNDERTALE the Musical" when Mettaton sings to you. AAAAA i think you're not at this part of the game yet, Tacos so dont read!!! :x i noticed that, too!! and also the game changes itself to "FloweyTale" when you're about to fight photoshop Flowey and random letters and numbers whenever you lose against him. and, spoilers, Where do we EXACTLY fight Omega Flowey? I mean, the screen is black.. where could that be? Is it outside of the game itself?? I'm really confused about it. mmm...well, Flowey claimed it to be "My World" so it could be just that............. he was practically a god at that time. but still, that's a good question. im gonna think about it more! also, a question...is UnderTale your game of the year? y/n? i'm really curious to know what you guys think~ it's a yes for me!! it's just that great! <:

And it has become a kind of a "cult" classic too. It's the kind of game you either love or love to hate and well, it's easy to see why people (including me) enjoy it so much
