Karudae
Please rate this team. Tyranitar - Rock Slide - Crunch - Protect - Ice Beam Excadrill - Earthquake - Iron Head - Rock Slide - Rapid Spin Hydreigon - Draco Meteor - Dark Pulse - Tailwind - Heat Wave Amoonguss - Giga Drain - Rage Powder - Spore - Clear Smog Azumarill - Aqua Jet - Play Rough - Waterfall - Superpower Talonflame - Brave Bird - Flare Blitz - Swords Dance - Roost I'm quite iffy about Tyranitar's set still. Also, this is like the third team in a row with sand.
Venox
I suggest Gunk Shot > Grass Knot on Greninja since you don't nave much Fairy coverage. I would suggest a better water counter like Gastrodon / Cradily (Storm Drain) since they are also immune to sandstorm damage, and can be shifted to Sand Force Gastrodon (Cradily is pretty much stuck on Storm Drain) when you're not facing water threats. Dazzling Gleam > Aura Sphere for Togekiss for that AOE STAB damage. thanks for the advice ^^. im thinking to swapping goodra for reuniclus because togekiss is my special tank and so ill have less fairy weaknesses. officialarimakishou
Hello! I've decided to try out this league, but I'm thinking of switching up my team? This new team I actually built by, uh, picking a Tarot Card spread, finding pokemon who I felt matched it's themes, and then going forward from there? It's slightly strange, but that's just how I build teams, more or less... Gardevoir ft Expert Belt Nickname : The Magician Draining Kiss Psychic Shadowball Willow Wisp I wasn't really sure what I wanted to run with this one, but I knew I wanted to keep him alive since Gardevoir is kind of fragile. But Draining Kiss seems.... I dunno. Wondering if I should replace that particular move. Also, not sure which Ability to give him? Bisharp ft Focus Sash Nickname: The Chariot Sucker Punch Iron Head Knock Off Psycho Cut Revenge Killer basically. Covers Gardevoir weaknesses! Ludicolo ft Leftovers Nickname: The Empress Scald Rain Dance Giga Drain Thunder Punch Um, I needed a Physically Defensive wall, and I figured Ludicolo would work well. I set up rain, I Giga Drain, and if a bird comes in and doesn't kill me, I punch it down into the ground until it caws it's last. I dunno what else to say... Garchomp ft Focus Sash The Death Stealth Rocks Earthquake Dragon Tail Fire Fang I needed someone to set up Stealth Rocks, and also someone who could be used to force switches when a pokemon tried to set up. Thus, this Garchomp. Fire Fang for Fairies and Ice Types, although I'm wondering if Poison Jab would be a better fit? Chandelure ft Air Balloon The Heriophant Flamethrower Shadowball Protect Energy Ball A Spk Atker who I figured could come in an wreck shop on other people's ghosts. Not sure if I should run air balloon on him, or if I should instead run Choice Specs? Never really run a Chandelure before, so... Crobat ft Black Sludge The Wheel Of Fortune Brave Bird Dark Pulse Defog Sludge Bomb I needed to be able to get rid of hazards on my side of the field, even it meant canceling out The Death's work. So I brought on a Crobat, since I also needed a bit of muscle on my side, I felt, and someone who could survive a little longer then everything else... So I hope for some help, since I built this team kind of randomly. I want to win obviously, so I'm hoping some of you can help with that! Get rid pf expert belt and replace it by either a lo or a choice item. Also ,healing wish gimmicks are good too so i'd suggest running it over shadow ball. Besides, it's never a good idea to run a mixed crobat so stick with one side of the spectrum (i'd suggest going with the physical branch and running roost and poison fang(if you want to have a pseudo toxic) or taunt for the support role. Sludge or Helmet to comply with the support role. Cobalt996
Already in a bit, but I'd like to be told just how bad this team is for 2nd bracket, since I think I can still make a change before the first challenge with 2nd bracket. No items/natures/etc shown due to how dramatically they change (macho brace minimum speed Salamence for Ariel, etc) Talonflame Flare Blitz Acrobatics Tailwind Thief Sylveon Hyper Voice Hell Beal Calm Mind Rest (Yeah, yeah, no coverage at all) Froslass Blizzard Shadow Ball Spikes Pain Split Clawitzer Heal Pulse Water Pulse Dark Pulse Aura Sphere Salamence Outrage Aqua Tail Earthquake Dragon Dance Gardevoir Healing Wish Psyshock Dazzling Gleam Magic Room If I'm too late, then I guess ideas for the immenant restart would be helpful. Sylveon and Froslass are in the team not matter what, though.
Darvan Korematsu
Please note you can take my opinions however you want. This is just what I see in your teams, and For Felix/Generalguy Okay, I get you are trying to go for a Trick Room setup, however the problem here is your team is too reliant on TR to work appropriately. It's not necessarily bad, but Leaders can and will be prepared for those shenanigans and try to shut you out. If they can nail your TR setter, you're a sitting duck essentially. Where I think you messed up the most was not putting priority on Pokémon that can use it. In your case, it would be Aegislash and Conkeldurr. In my opinion, for Aegislash, if you're gonna run a physical setup, at least run Shadow Sneak on it. Shadow Sneak gives you a Ghost type STAB that both works inside and outside of Trick Room, because it is better to be safe than sorry. If anything, drop Shadow Claw for Sneak. For Conkeldurr, you do not need Poison Jab on it. You already have a Greninja that can already take care of that with Gunk Shot. Either Mach Punch can work here. Which again rolls back around to what I say about priority, or try Rock Slide or Ice Punch. You lack Rock coverage, which can be useful later on. Conkeldurr @ Life Orb Ability: Iron Fist/Guts/Sheer Force EVs: 252 HP / 100 Atk / 52 Def / 156 SpD Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Wide Guard - Knock Off - Drain Punch - Rock Slide/Ice Punch/Mach Punch Greninja? Unlike Aegis or Conk, Gren doesn't necessarily need priority. Maybe Grass Knot or Hidden Power Fire over Shadow Sneak. You already got like 2 Ghost types already. Heck, even Spikes or Toxic Spikes could work. Because Gren can function as a decent suicide lead while your TR setters do their thing. Maybe something else over Calm Mind on Cofagrigus, like Pain Split, Protect, or another move. Normal types will absolutely wall it. Dark and Ghost types will give it a very hard time. If not, I'd drop Cofagrigus in favor of something like Amoonguss, which is just great in and out of TR both. Spore can function to almost the same degree as WoW on Cofagrigus and gives you additional Poison type coverage which can help versus Ariel and Olivia both. And the Grass coverage is rather nice too. Also heard you say something about Rotom-W earlier. That wouldn't be a bad edition over Gren. Rotom is in a speed tier where it can be Scarfed, and likewise take advantage of TR. Your team is bulky enough, so maybe an LO set would work here like: Rotom-W @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Quiet Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Hydro Pump - Thunderbolt - Will-o-Wisp - Hidden Power (insert whatever type you see fit here)./Pain Split Otherwise, it looks pretty solid. Although the Bug and Fairy Leader give you a hard time right off the bat. That's just what I think. For Cobalt You aren't quite too far gone yet. Although I'll break down bit by bit what moves may not be the best for B2 and why and maybe why. Talonflame: Thief is really the only problem here. To make the fullest use of it, you either have to have lost your item, or just not carry one. Which on T.flame, that is not going to happen very often and it'll usually die before it can take advantage of it. If anything, I'd suggest literally anything else besides that. Protect to increase longevity and scouting. U-turn to scout. Will-o-Wisp to burn, since I noticed you have no way of dealing with physical attackers like that. Natural Gift is also a fun move. Although it costs you your item slot, this move is pretty broken for allowing literally any one time use of a move based on the type of berry, You can nail the Pokémon with 4x weaknesses depending on the berry, and maybe where your team lacks coverage. All in all, drop Thief, it won't be useful in B2. Sylveon: Drop Rest. It's not really useful. Leaders can easily knock off your berry, or wall your Sylveon since it only has Hyper Voice to lash out. Drop it for either Psyshock (which will be pretty useful in B2 for the Poison Leader), or even Baton Pass (with Calm Mind), Wish, or another coverage move. Sylveon won't really help too much in B2, but could suffice with the right items. Froslass: Drop Pain Split for Thunder Wave, Destiny Bond, or Disable. Froslass works so much better in that respect. You'll find lass somewhat useful in B2. Clawitzer: I don't know what to say here, other than maybe either drop completely or Heal Pulse in favor of Ice Beam or something like that. Mega Launcher is pretty useful, but I feel like there's much better Water types that can be used in League. Will be somewhat useful in B2. Salamence: Depending on your set, you can change up Aqua Tail for a myriad of other things, unless you drop a Water type completely. Fire Blast if you want the coverage against stuff your team would appreciate, Aerial Ace if you want the Flying coverage, or even Roost to promote longevity. Outrage is a serious hit or miss because Fairies exist, but it can stay. Earthquake is a necessity. Salamence will have mixed use in B2. Gardevoir: Drop the Pokémon entirely imo. You already got a Fairy type on your team to take command of that coverage, you'll have Psyshock if you heed my advice on Sylveon, and Healing Wish and Magic Room are meh moves at best in my opinion. You can replace it with a Fighting type such as Conkeldurr, Infernape, or something similar and you should have all you need to tackle B2. Again, just my opinion Just what I think. Once more, treat this advice however you want.

Darvan Korematsu
Adding on to what Chubb said, I can throw on a couple more suggestions. Rotom-W for instance looks like either you or it does not know where to go with the moveset. Volt Switch seems better for Choice and LO exclusive sets, yet you run Leftovers and a special bulky Rotom. My suggestion for that would be drop either one of the Electric STABs since you have 2 to like Pain Split or a Hidden Power (maybe Ice). Also maybe convert Rotom into more of an attacker because it has a Special Attack and Speed stat on par with most sweepers. That and you have like two walls already in Ferrothorn and Gliscor, so a third isn't too necessary. Blaziken I'd drop Bulk Up and Night Slash....for really other moves one could call "better". If you want a Dark move, run Knock Off instead. If you want a boosting move, Swords Dance works much better, or even go all coverage in Brave Bird (if you want a Flying move). Also drop Thunder Punch for the aforementioned Fighting STAB. Low Kick or HJK will work here. I prefer Low Kick since the Leaders can prep with Protect and rack up free damage. Sylveon. Just Hyper Voice for Moonblast swap if you're running Pixilate. Froslass should be more of a support than mixed set, because that's where it excels. Chubb's above set works. Gliscor and Ferro. No suggestions on the movesets because those are fine, however on your EV spreads you may want to change one up from a physical to a special wall to cover for most of the Leaders. And....that's really all. The team looks solid by mons, but needs some tweaking on the moves.

Well, I saw a lot of that coming. I'll be restarting sometime soon with a realistic one, most likely. It's been a learning experience, though, and I've relearned at least some prediction with this... special... team. Only open this if you want my aneurysm-inducing logic. It makes very little sense to myself. Clawitzer: Not a clue. At least it deterred Doubles/Triples, due to Heal Pulse, and TR due to low speed, so I knew almost exactly what I'd face each battle. Gardevoir: I forgot Healing Wish is applied before field hazards, otherwise the spot would be different. Gardevoir only because I knew the team was dead before it began. Magic Room allows for the usage of Choice items while switching moves (such as on swap-in, hitting coverage, switching move, then getting locked and boosted) Talonflame: It has Acrobatics. Usually, it'll lack an item, so Thief is usable. Nobody uses Thief. Again, I guess I knew from the beginning the team was dead. Odybld
Oooh, what fun! I might as well go ahead and join in on the discussion too (Even though I already started the league with this team!) Falcone (Honchkrow) - Sucker Punch - Brave Bird - Superpower - Steel Wing Napoleon (Empoleon) - Defog - Scald - Ice Beam - Flash Cannon Draco (Dragonite) - Dragon Claw - Rock Slide - Earthquake - Iron Head Gigyas (Reuniclus) - Trick Room - Psyshock - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power [Fire] Ganon (Emboar) - Hammer Arm - Flare Blitz - Wild Charge - Earthquake Voldemort (Gengar) - Shadow Ball - Sludge Wave - Focus Blast - Hidden Power [Fire] For starters, you have only one priority move that is Suckerpunch, which isn't always reliable and definately can't be spammed mindlessly, so I'd suggest you change Dnite's Iron Head to Extremespeed and Emboar's EQ to Sucker Punch as well. That will help Nite run CB better outside of Trick Room, and also not have Emboar be a sitting duck when TR expires. You are obsessed with HP Fire. Emboar however takes care of any and all steel types that they could throw at you, so you can replace the suboptimal HPs for something else. Give Reuni Recover over HP Fire and Focus Miss over Shadow Ball: you need to help your TR setter stay alive as best as it can, and Psy+Ghost get walled by every and any Dark type there is. At least Psy+Fighting get walled by Ghost+Dark or Ghost+Steel, which are very specific threats. And you need to Recover in order to set and reset TR. Also give Gengar any other move you want, either another, stronger coverage, or Icy Wind for disruption, or Taunt, or Wow, or Destiny Bond. Just not HP Fire. And if you miss the Fire moves, you can always go MixKrow: Heat Wave to bop steel switchins and have no stat drops, Icy Wind to lower the opponent's speed on the switch and outspeed next turn to hit hard, Sucker to Moxie-abuse the kills that your special attacks will bring, and the last slot can remain Brave Bird. Sorry, I kill the Steel Wing theme, but not sorry. Also consider Stealth Rock on Empoleon for them singles battles.
