Kanne28
Hello, fellow trainers! I have a question that needs answering. I'm facing Noel and I'm having the toughest time in this game. It might be cuz I just plainly suck at Pokemon. The thing is; i need to deal with that Clefable and the only thing in my arsenal that can go against it is my Magneton. But the poor creature can't even go past that Porygon-Z (actually, only my Gardevoir can deal with it and only when she's lucky) and Cinccino (Walking pain deep up my b*tt) cuz when his pokemon use Hidden Power the attack gains Fire attribute and we all know that Steel and Fire don't mix well. But how does that happen? "The grass bellow Magneton caught flame" HOW?! I haven;t even used any fire tyoe move! I looked on the Field Effect page and it doesn't say anything about the move. I'm affraid of using sludge wave; Hidden Power could get acid attribute and mutate my pokemon into man-eating creatures. I would appreciate if a gentle soul explain to me what's going on. Thank you for your time and sorry if the question sounds somewhat noob.
Kithros
It says the grass catches on fire any time any fire move is used - it gives some % damage increase to fire moves (don't remember off the top of my head how much it increases by). His hidden power is a fire move so it benefits from the field effect.
Jacobliterator
Fire gets a 1.5 times boost in the flower field. This means that Blaziken with Blaze Kick and Speed Boost make him an utter joke. If you have a Poison type, you can make the field corrupted powering up Poison and removing the fire problem. Plus, it will damage any Pokémon entering the field except your Steel types. You can do this by using Sludge Wave on the field (You should've gotten it from Aya.).
Avatar of Grima
Or cheese him with para hax and switch gear klingklang. It is suffice to say flower fields healing is a pain as well, flash fire is a big help when you know he has hp fire
Monochrome_Complex
Wait until you set the field on fire. Using sludge wave is a good idea actually, but only if your pokemon can handle it, and same with the burning field. Both really make Noel easier, but note that whether you turn the field into a hazardous waste zone or fiery inferno, Clefable will ignore the continuous damage since his ability negates any non-direct damage dealt to him. For Clefable you just got to hit him fast and hard.
