Shadolance
So I currently am attempting to hatch a shiny rufflet from this particular egg I got. I'm saved so that when I load in and take one step, the egg hatches. This particular rufflet has some kickass IVs, and shiny Braviary looks fucking amazing, so I decided to invest time into getting a shiny for this guy. So, a few questions to speed up this process: - The second the egg hatches and shows the pokemon's sprite, will it ever show it as shiny on that screen, or do you have to go into your party and check it out manually before it shows it as shiney? - I noticed the egg has predetermined nature, ability, moveset, and IVs. Is this true of shiny? if it's nto a shiney to begin with, will it ever be if I continue to reload the game, or am I wasting my time? Thanks guys
mde2001
I'm pretty sure you're wasting your time. Shinyness is determined when you get the egg iirc.
Shadolance
Alright thanks. I'll just give up that then XD
Dragon116
You could always attach a Destiny Knot to it and turn it into a breeding machine. Eventually you will get a shiny one with 5 out of 6 of those IVs. Not sure if it's possible to transfer all 6.
