Hiroki Tatsumi
Hello and welcome to my completed Fighting Hardcore Monorun. I made this run to discover the world of pokemon reborn Hardcore, and wanted to do this in monotype since i love that. I chose fighting because i didn't have ANY knowledge from the type, and i got through all the story in hardcore with them. You can find my progression below, with direct link to each part. The last part containning all my reviews and pokemon analysis can be found in the 6th page I'll leave that here until the 16th episode, you can ask me everything about the run or about fighting types in reborn though Enjoy reading Completed Name : HirokiImportant Matchs Completed : 13 Badges Team : I used those rules during the whole run, and could complete all of the achievements i had from the beginning.1 - I must use only Fighting pokemons to beat all opponents from the scenario, that means gym, meteors, rivals etc.2 - I may use a pokemon from a different type for catching a pokemon that is Fighting Type3 - I may use pokemon from a different type if their final evolution matches the type i'm choosing, and if i evolve them before the end of the run.4 - I wont release any pokemon from my team during the run, i'm not that crazy oo5 - HM Slaves will be if possible , be fighting aswell.6 - I'll catch ALL Fighting pokemons available in the game to give a proper guide at the end of the run about which pokemon is worth in Fighting mono run.Rock to Smash 1 : From the Beginning until Julia's gymhttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry432217Rock to Smash 2 : From Victoria until Cain (Obsidia / Coral)http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry432326Rock to Smash 3 : From PULSE Tangrowth until Floriniahttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry432530Rock to Smash 4 : Jasper Ward : Taka's Encounteringhttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry432661Rock to Smash 5 : All in Beryl Ward, Corey Includedhttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry432764Rock to Smash 6 : Lapis Ward and Shellyhttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry434354Rock to Smash 7 : Orphanage and Shadehttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry434762Rock to Smash 8 : PULSE Muk until Kiki Includedhttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry435592Rock to Smash 9 : Saving Cain from Meteorshttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry436312Rock to Smash 10 : One on One VS Solarishttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry436713Rock to Smash 11 : The Wasteland (Cain, Fern, Aya)http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry437424Rock to Smash 12 : Sirius Battle and EV Traininghttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry438094Rock to Smash 13 : Spinel Town : Serra Bennetthttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry443635Rock to Smash 14 : Sigmund, Steelix, Pulse Abrahttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry444023Rock to Smash 15 : One on One VS Noelhttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry444030Rock to Smash 16 : Fern, Cain, Arceushttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry444059 Rock to Smash 17 : One on One VS Radomus http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry444531 Rock to Smash 18 : Cultists, Bennett and Luna http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry445559 Rock to Smash 19 : One on One VS Samson http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry445757 Rock to Smash 20 : One on One VS Charlotte http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry445847 Rock to Smash 21 : Avalugg and Blake http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry446527 Rock to Smash 22 : Commander, Terra http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry446534 Rock to Smash 23 : PULSE Swalot and Double Battle Fern Blake http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry446545 Rock to Smash 24 : Solaris Rematch http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry446576 Rock to Smash 25 : Seel's Genocide http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry446632&page=5 Final rock to Smash (26) : Hall of fame, and Hardcore Feedback http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033entry446643 Edited November 11, 2015 by Hiroki Tatsumi
Lord Chespin
Hey, glad to see I inspired people to do more Pokemon Reborn Hardcore challenge runs! So, are you going to pick Chimchar, Torchic, Tepig, or Chespin? Or maybe you'll hack in a starter? Anyway, good luck!
Hiroki Tatsumi
Yep you totally inspired me <3 Thanks for the luck wishing ;p I pikced Chimchar as a starter since there was fighting available. Didn't take the other for following reasons : - Torchic -> Speed Boost Blaziken is unfair, also, Torchic was my first starter in reborn, id' like to change a bit. - Tepig -> Having the same one as Victoria didn't seem cool - Chespin -> Acrobatics base stat 440 ? Are you kidding? xD Well, the first badge will be ridiculously hard since NO FIGHTING POKEMONS are available before Obsidia, but i have a strategy in mind to beat Julia only with my starter See ya in the next update
wytch_doctr
I love Chimchar. First starter in any Pokemon game that I got really attached to (or was old enough to understand how to play). Hope he serves ya well! Oh yeah, good luck with Emolga Edited October 17, 2015 by wytch_doctr
Hiroki Tatsumi
First Rock to Smash : Alone VS The Wo--KA-BOOM !!!Well well, that was a brand new adventure for me, because as stated above, i litteraly never used Fighting mono even in simulators, so starting an Hardcore run with only Fightings was a little hard to think about. But well, who cares it's fun :3So i arrived in Reborn and crashed like usually, met Julia, Ame, and was conducted into the Grand Hall. Okay nothing New from here but still, that was fun for my third reborn run to answer no to Julia :3 After some talk i picked my chimchar. I resetted like 20 times to get a decent one, because in Hardcore, i guess it's important to have good natures and IVs. After those resets, i started with that. Well, so it is mild. Mild was cool because Infernape has both 104 in Atk and spé atk, and most Fighting types are physical attackers, so a special one from the beginning wasn't that bad to start with. Hurray i got it and i'm gonna conquer the world !!!! Wellllllllll..... Yes...I lost against Tepig and Victoria, well, nothing to say, tackle was more powerful than my scratch and she rekt me in no time. Well, started pretty badly at the beginning D:So, to stay happy in any circumstances, Ginpei and me ran from the Grand Hall to fight some people ! Fighting is cool at the beginning, grabbed the Exp share, the Lucky egg, beated some monsters and wai--- Well, rekt rekt, i decide to buysome potions , because my monkey is kinda frail and i dont want to go back every time to center x) So with 5 potions i'm able to deal with the random trainers, until Fern.Fern wasn't that hard to be honest We started with Ginpei (Chimchar) VS LombreFlamewheel was gonna 2HKO it, but Fern used two / three potions and hitted with bubble one time, leaving Ginpei to 18/44 HP for the remaining two pokemons. Still, Flamwheel at neutral did massive damages and propulses Ginpei to level 20 =)Fern Sent Servine, who took a Flame Wheel and got burned, it attacked Ginpei with tackle, but the burn reduced the amount, leaving 13HP to Ginpei o/Roselia was a bit harder since Ginpei was level 21 and so not listening to me, spammed flame wheel until it worked and OHKO'ed Roselia, making Fern Bite the dust <3 Fern ran away for crying into his sister's skirt and i was free :3 I reached Julia's Gym but she Kaboomed me into the factory. My my, didn't think i was gonna face all meteors by myself without Fern. Plus, Ginpei my chimchar wasn't paying attention at me, i wasn't noticed by the sempai, how cruel he is. But i somehow managed to defeat them all after some luck, and i finally reached Julia's Gym !!!!So , beating a leader in a 1VS6 Hardcore is ridiculously hard, here was my monferno when i first started the match. Well, finding a way to beat Julia with only 1 pokemon was hard, as stated above, there isn't a single fighting type pokemon you can catch in the wild instead of starters, and Emolga has Acrobatics. When i started the game, i had to find an issue, and that was in Chimchar i found it.You see the above screen against Roselia? Yeah, Chimchar is level 21, meaning that i stopped the evolution 7 times until i reached level 23 because Chimchar only is able to learn a specific move at level 23, Nasty Plot.Because in a 1vs6 the only way to beat them is to OHKO them all at once. It was the best way to do so, still it gave me an hard time since i challenged Julia 27 times. Magnemite was simply too powerful to handle, i wasn't able to take more than 2 Charge beam and Ginpei wasn't paying attention at me. That water type pokemon , Chinchou was paralyzing and all, that was Ridiculously hard. I tried again and again to force the random obedience, the luck, yep.In the End, i started with Ginpei the Monferno, she started with magnemite, i managed to put two nasty plots, she used to charge beam, missing one of them, and i spammed ember as much as i can, using the only super potion i had when Chinchou water pulsed me, and used the berry that cures from paralysis i found i the town. I OHKO'ed both Heliolisk and Electrode, giving me the first Badge....But look at that monferno's level xD After that match, i used common candies to get his level lowered, and i'm planning on using some more on Ginpei until i can catch another pokemon. This is really painful the 1VS6 Fight...XDSo, Episode 1 is over, and here is the team so far Also, as a proof i didn't use a single other pokemon Well, so first badge is Okay. Florinia should be easier since i'll have access to other pokemons and i'm a fire type, but still, that was hard. Hardcore earns the name :3 Seeya Guys in the next episode Edited October 17, 2015 by Hiroki Tatsumi
AnimeFg
Good luck on that dude, you can catch a Pancham and a Makuhita before the next gym, so that's something to look forward to. And you can even use ralts in the future, if you get a male.
wytch_doctr
Special Infernape? You get flamethrower only by TM, Heat Wave from breeding but it's not gonna be easy to get early.. No STAB Special Fighting moves... Grass Knot late game... and the only other Special move is Round by TM.... this is gonna be interesting. EDIT: Actually, Fire Pledge after Corey. That may be nice. Hiroki Tatsumi
Good luck on that dude, you can catch a Pancham and a Makuhita before the next gym, so that's something to look forward to. And you can even use ralts in the future, if you get a male. Thanks I'm planning on Catching Pancham since it resists psychic moves, if i can get a Guts Makuhita i will also certainly use him as a status absorber to later fight Corey and Aya =) Special Infernape? You get flamethrower only by TM, Heat Wave from breeding but it's not gonna be easy to get early.. No STAB Special Fighting moves... Grass Knot late game... and the only other Special move is Round by TM.... this is gonna be interesting. EDIT: Actually, Fire Pledge after Corey. That may be nice. Actually, until i have access to Fire Pledge, i will use a kind of mixed Infernape , with Close Combat at level 36 , even at 0 IV Attack there is iron fist that will boost + stab for getting decent damages. Once i will have the TMs and the Move Tutor, i will turn it into a Nasty Plot attacker. Still useful to have Nasty plot ember though
Hiroki Tatsumi
Second Rock to Smash : Obsidia, my Dear Obsidia, Candies, Victoria , and....Huge Evil Plant...Well well, with that new badge a new town comes , And that's Obsidia Ward, you know that town just below Onyx? Yep , first huge battle with antagonists awaits me there, well well, i still have some things to pass before, like that stupid Victoria that thinks she can help me by sending all her pokemons against my single Ginpei the Monferno. Is she actually retarded? :3So yeah, battle vs Victoria was still in 1VSX since the place where i can catch fighting Pokémons are still unavailables at this pointScraggy vs Ginpei was the start.I place 3 Nasty Plots while she places three low kicks, i manage to put a potion without take damages because she chose to use sand Stream, ember, Scraggy faints. She send Poliwag, but with 3 Nasty Plots, even a non effective Ember becomes Huge, She send Kirlia but my Ginpei isn’t listening anymore, so she kills it with Confusion.Back to center and buying 2 common candies and intend to fight her again. That time, that’s two Headbutts and a Sand Attack i take, well, that’s cool too :3I OHKO Scraggy with Ember, she sends Poliwag, but this time i dont OHKO because i’m at level 24 and that **** Uses rain dance, making OHKO Ember litteraly impossible for 5 turns. Finaly i kill the poliwag and she send Kirlia. Who kills me with a confusion….Damn x_xThat’s at the third time i finally pass that Poliwag AND the Kirlia with overboosted Ember at level 25, Hurray i beated a mono fight with my…..Only Fight o/ Sooooooooooooo i went to Obsidia Slums, and that happened !!! I Caught my first pokemon in the game !!! 8D Female Pancham, so i named her Korrina because of the Gym Leader Korrina, not original but still like it. By chance, it got decent Ivs, it’s a plus that will help me, because in hardcore i'm hardly selecting my new recruits by their natural potential. I dont wanna change my whole team at the middle game because that just doesn't work. Well, let's see that Korrina Well, it lacks some Speed IV , but well. Also, defense is a problem, but Pancham is frail anyway so that doesn't matter x)Well, spent some time grinding in the slums and capturedsSome Makuhitas and some Mankeys, and picked the one who was the best out of all, Defiant Lonely Mankey is Kenji, AKA the third pokemon in the party ~Right There partner, dont be shy, show your face :3 Those Scraggys were pretty hard though, Moxie and Ddance, it’s Sadistic. :3 Actually that took me two times, because the first time i was too focused on Settings with Korrina the Pancham, Work up work once, but not twice, and so i was wrecked by the final Scrafty, even with Ginpei my Monferno, that's craaaazy how things are turning when you're not well prepared. Second run into it, i finally manage to defeat them by using a random Makuhita's Fake out to flinch the DDance one and kill it before it even dances once. :3 Finally, i'm going to coral, and Oshawott is being saved by the prince of Reborn and i’m confronting him. That’s a Grimer vs Kenji (Mankey) for the start, but Kenji is still level 16. I’m Starting with Focus Energy while grimer uses acid spray, lowering spe defense of my Kenji, who instantly activâtes Defiant raising his attack by two stages, he then uses fury swipes, but it’s not enough to OHKO even with two crits and he end up getting killed by acid spray.I send Korrina the Pancham, she’s level 21, i’m setting up a work up, raising it’s attack stat while Da pretty boy will use a potion to keep some HP, in final, black sludge and potions are using my resources, and my Korrina get killed by Dewott. In fact, that doesnt make any sense that he has a Dewott since he just caught Oshawott….Well. Ginpei Arrived, still above the level (29) and Killed Dewott with Ember. Da pretty boy Sent Nidorino but got wrecked by Flame Wheel Twice, Venohoth followed him, but got kicked in an instant. He sent Gastly who also got kicked by flame Wheel , ending the battle . Well well, even rival battles are a pain in da ass when you’re in hardcore. From Victoria to Cain, all is very difficult. I’m planning on Grinding more before beating PULSE Tangrowth, because i wont be able with my current team. Well, i got a pretty decent HM Slave in the person of Makuhita who can learn both strenght, surf and rock smash, but that wont be anough to continue. So Kenji the Mankey and Korrina the Pancham have to train more. Oh and i got a Black Belt from one of the Makuhitas, that’s useful in mono fighting :3 The Team so far ! And my Box ! Well, thanks for following the Adventures, and see ya in the next rock to Smash !
Commander
I must applaud you for beating Julia with one Pokemon. That's no easy feat. Also, I actually used Hariyama in the late game and it really pulled through on a couple fights like Terra. But yeah, different leaders will feel more or less challenging depending on teams. I really struggled with Corey, but the rest of you guys made him look easy. But yeah, I'm really impressed people not only are able to get through those fight, but are able to do them with monotypes. I mean I did leave some leeway so that people could make the game as hard as they want. Of course, hardcore was an attempt to satisfy all the complaints about Reborn's nerfs and the game becoming too easy due to the field effects. (Also because I'm tired of seeing that topic). TimTim
Taking into consideration most fighting types later on are mostly physical, i think he might be better off with Infernape as a special sweeper for physical tanks~Besides, Calm Mind is a leveling up move for Infernape(GF logic for a mon with a bunch of leveling up physical moves followed abruptly by a special set up move) and @Hiroki You might wanna invest an a.capsule for that Pancham for Shade's gym, aiming for Scrappy, Pancham learns nothing remotely closer to utilizing Iron Fist by leveling up, unless that is that you are willing to overlevel(or simply hold back the evolution, since Pancham learns Crunch just below level cap) past level cap to get Crunch(that was what i did for my current fighting/fairy run) Edited October 18, 2015 by TimTim
Dragon116
I'm surprised you're not using any Makuhita yet. It is by far my favorite fluke pokemon of my first Reborn run (wanted a Mankey, settled for Makuhita, loved it through every impossible fight). Sudowoodo is my second overall favorite because of fluke Hardcore.

Of course, hardcore was an attempt to satisfy all the complaints about Reborn's nerfs and the game becoming too easy due to the field effects. (Also because I'm tired of seeing that topic). Well, i dont deserve any applausement for beating Julia since it was all based on Luck. The only real strategy i picked was to keep chimchar at level 23 and learning nasty plot. Otherwise i couldn't win without hacking another fighting-type pokemon, and that pokemon would be able to tank emolga's acrobatics with 220 base power. But still, every move was random because he could disobey me at any time. In fact i took some damages VS Heliolisk, but i tanked quite well because of high level. I'm not planning of keeping that team for the entire run, because it has an extreme weakness as psychic moves, so i might release Kenji the Mankey soon ^^ Monotype is hard, but fun. It really opens to challenge while you're playing Hardcore, because you have to make things with a very small amount of potential new pokemons, that's why it's fun ;p Pokemon Reborn Hardcore is really fun to play and deserves the title ;p Taking into consideration most fighting types later on are mostly physical, i think he might be better off with Infernape as a special sweeper for physical tanks~Besides, Calm Mind is a leveling up move for Infernape(GF logic for a mon with a bunch of leveling up physical moves followed abruptly by a special set up move) and @Hiroki You might wanna invest an a.capsule for that Pancham for Shade's gym, aiming for Scrappy, Pancham learns nothing remotely closer to utilizing Iron Fist by leveling up, unless that is that you are willing to overlevel(or simply hold back the evolution, since Pancham learns Crunch just below level cap) past level cap to get Crunch(that was what i did for my current fighting/fairy run) That's exactly what i thought when picking a special Chimchar. Also as you stated Calm mind is cool and get boosted in focus fields ^^ I did get an ability capsule from the factory, and yes i'm planning on getting Crunch to have a decent stab move. But i'll also get scrappy instead of iron fist, since Pancham doesnt learn Close Combat. I'm surprised you're not using any Makuhita yet. It is by far my favorite fluke pokemon of my first Reborn run (wanted a Mankey, settled for Makuhita, loved it through every impossible fight). Sudowoodo is my second overall favorite because of fluke Hardcore. I finaly used a Makuhita when i caught a decent one, i'll post that right after that post, i'm sorry for the double post, but i wanna keep a "Clean" Episode without answering to my trainers comrades on it
Hiroki Tatsumi
Third Rock to Smash : Smoke Weed Everyday !!!Well well, freshly beated Da Pretty boy , but as stated in previous episode, i wanted to grind to get better monsters and not relying too much on my Ginpei the Monferno. Well so i'm back to the slums and 'im training my Mankey. I finaly catch a Makuhita that is decent. I forgot to screen it at the catch, but it has decent speed , HP and attack IVs and it has Guts, and that's what i wanted to deal with Corey and Aya Later. Sooooooo ~40 Random battle after that, I decided i was prepared.....To beat......The unbeattable.... PULSE Tangrowth !!!!!! Well, it was easier than i thought. To be honest, i was preparing myself to be wrecked, but it was decided another way. Kenji the Mankey fainted after a giga drain , so i sent out Ginpei my Monferno, and after a Nasty Plot i beated him with double ember attack. Easy and Fast. Well for once. X) Zel cried and ran away, letting me free to go in Onyx School. At this point, my team is composed of Mario my Makuhita level 20 , Kenji my Mankey level 26 , Korrina my Pancham level 23 and Ginpei the Monferno level 30, i didn't plan to use common candies on him right now, i had something else planned. Well, so got rid of all students and went to have the blood of that dumbass :3 T Mario started, and Fern Started with LudicoloMario the Makuhita used Fake Out, making Ludicolo Flinch. Ludicolo used water pulse and bullet seed, killing instantly my Mario. That was fast…..I sent Kenji to deal with Ludicolo.Seismic Toss delt a good amount of damages, while Kenji tanked quite well the water pulses , but super potions made the duel extremely hard and Kenji Fainted in the end, leaving Korrina on the ring. Korrina managed to tank water pulses and put one Work up on herself, but was haxxed by bullet seed and KO’ed before moving.I sent Ginpei against Ludicolo, who was in low HP count, so a Flame Wheel got rid of it quickly. Fern immédiate sent Grovyle as a replacement. But that Grovyle left after one Flame Wheel. Roselia took its place and laught at me when Ginpei didn’t want to listen, she put leech seed and a poison jab, and i finaly killed her with Flame Wheel. Fern Sent out Ferroseed , but didn’t realize that Flame Wheel would activate iron barb, both Pokémons were Killed, i lose.Well i wanted to go reckless, so i setted my Monferno Ginpei in first line this time, and somehow it ore. Flame charge knocked off all Fern’s pokemons and i won xD Also, i used a Rare Candy on Monferno, Leveling him up at level 36 and evolving him into Infernape , that's why i wanted to keep at level high since now it also has Close Combat Well, that worked against Fern, but not against Florinia, so the better way to take the challenge was to grind. I went back in the alleys and the slums to fight, solving the mansion event for training my pokemons. Makuhita was really a pain the ass to train, but once it evoled, everything went better Oh and hey look at that. Sorry mate, i'm making a fighting-type run, i killed it. :3 I Started with Mario the Hariyama and she sent CacneaFake out took some HP and made cacnea flinch, then i used Force Palm to attack the cacnea who fainted because of crits, Lucky me <3 Florinia sent Grotle against my Mario who immediately knocked off the Leftovers and delt a good amount of damages he took two façades in the face, but with 107 HP at level 24 it was bulky enough to hit two times with force palm, destroying the Grotle.Florinia Sent Tropius, while i withdrew my Mario to send Ginpei, expecting to 1HK0 the tropius with Flame Wheel, i used it, and even with crit i dealt 90% damages, letting the Tropius Leech seed my monkey and eat a sitrus Berry. Fortunately, i beated him just after by another Flame Wheel. Florinia Sent Breloom. I used Flame Wheel on it, once again for 90% , i took a Mach Punch before, was drained by leech seed and trigered Poison Heal. Florinia Spammed Super potions to keep my HP Draining by Leech seed and final switcher for Ferroseed to take the Flame Charge and making my Ginpei Faint.Ginpei’s Replacement was Mario the Hariyama who kicked Ferroseed with Force Palm. It learned belly drum with that but sadly cant use it immédiately . When Florinia called Breloom again, i sent Kenjy my Mankey as an answer to it, but it got insta killed by giga drain. Korrina took his place. Korinna was Leech Seeded, poison healed, and i got literraly wrecked by Breloom. All my 4 Pokémons got kicked by it. That’s insane.I threw my Ginpei too fast i think. For the next try, i’ll stick with my Nasty Ember Strategy. REMATCH !!! This time, that’s Ginpei who led the team ! He used nasty plot once while cacnea setted spikes around my team, i tried an ember after that and it 1HKO’ed Cacnea , and the following Grotle :3 Florinia sent tropius, i used my ember but 10% were left, letting the flying tree set a toxic on my monster. I killed it next turn even with that super potion Florinia used. Breloom Came, and was insta killed by ember, removing the threat from last time. But Ginpei leveled up to level 26, that level that i didn’t want to reach since he desobey from now. Ferroseed came, and after 1 ignore , Ginpei moved and insta killed the metal plant with Ember., Leaving Flornia with only Cradily left. I was gonna use Close Combat, but he desobeid , letting poison finish him. To be honest, winning with only Ginpei again would be boring as fuck. XDMario my Hariyama took his place, my only goal with him was to Knock off the leftovers she certainly had. Cradily did use curse, and i could Knock off its item, but i was very worried since curse may permit to Cradily to tank all my physical moves, while my special attacker is gone…Well, i did use belly drum to hit strong and fast, while she used another curse move. I tried a force palm, but he didn’t listen to me , leaving it wide open for a body slam who left my Rocky to 18HP. Thanks to his tank ability, Mario survived and hit the cradily with a super effective force palm and x4 attack from belly drum , ending the match in my favor =) Well well, Florinia took only two tries, but i had the type advantage with my Ginpei the Infernape, Nasty Plot is a really good investment for the adventure, as it granted me the win against both Julia and Florinia. But well, Corey wont be a piece of cake as i clearly have a disadvantage in the match XD Well so , this is the team so far, Hariyama needs to be renamed when i'll pass in the Ward, named it Mario because of that Spark of Life ;o Well, that concludes the third rock who is smashed ! wytch_doctr
Level 26 Infernape. Now that's not something you see every day. Breloom would be good in the mystery egg, wouldn't it? 440 power acrobatics
Hiroki Tatsumi
Laughed too at that level 26 Infernape xD To be honest i would love to have Breeloom in the mystery egg, but i'm not a lucker so i'll have a thing like.....Sneasel ? :3 There souldn't be any new pokemon in my incoming episode since there isn't any fighting type available between Flo and Corey

Mienshao can be a special attacker too, with 94 base SpAtk. but he's only available after Agate Circus
gryson
this topic inspired me to do the same monorun but i chose torchic because i played episode 15 with chimhar and episode14 with chespin
Red_Chaos
I guess hacking would be your only option to guarantee a fighting type in that egg
Hiroki Tatsumi
this topic inspired me to do the same monorun but i chose torchic because i played episode 15 with chimhar and episode14 with chespin Be sure to take speed boost then, you'll need it for Julia X_X Yeah, its kinda annoying when doing a mono and the Mystery Egg isn't one of your types. Mienshao can be a special attacker too, with 94 base SpAtk. but he's only available after Agate Circus Mienshao could be an idea yep , but too far in the game, so i guess i'll try to find a tank like breloom but well, i 'm not lucky. xD I guess hacking would be your only option to guarantee a fighting type in that egg Hmmmm You see, hacking in the mono run while it isn't mandatory would ruin the fun in the game, i wanna have a 100% legit playthrough from Julia to Seel included , i managed to beat Julia with only Monferno, so that's possible Anyway thanks for following, i'll post the next episode just after this, again, sorry for double posting, but i want to keep my episodes commentless
Hiroki Tatsumi
Fourth Rock to Smash : The Big Plant and the Singing Bird Well ! Florinia was crushed, meaning that i have now two badges in the pocket. Well the game is as hard as expected since i had an hard time for almost all the story fights i faced, and i hope there will be even harder deals to make ! My next mission is so Jasper and the Tangrowth Catastrophe leaded by Taka, well, that will be hard because my mono fails against Chatot badly. So well, i'm grinding again and again, leveling up a little my pokemons until i reach the Jasper ward, i'm taking the policemens mission to find all the missing one, and then i'm ready to travel the forest. To meet...The guy who kicks asses, Taka <3 Versus Taka So we start with Lileep VS Kenji the Mankey Karate chop halved Lileep's Life, while her ancient power only took 21 HP from Kenji. Kenji uses Karate chop, making Lileep faint. Taka sends gligar, i switch for Ginpei, but i'm insta killed by acrobatics before putting a nasty plot. I send Mario, who immediately uses Fake out, then spams knock off while he spams super potions, in the end, Gligar Faint and Taka sends Chatot. At this point, i switch for Kenji the Mankey but it got wrecked by boomburst. Sent Korrina, who got OHKO'ed too. Sent Mario who got OHKO'ed too. End of the ride. Well, i wasted my Ginpei sadly. I'm grinding some more wild pokemons with him , to tank an acrobatics and put a nasty plot, and here we go again Lileep vs Kenji Same outcome as the first one, Karate Punch GG Taka sends gligar, i switch for Ginpei. I'm placing a nasty plot while it's acrobatics takes all my HP except 4 small points. There is the sun, so i counterattack with ember, OHKOing the Gligar. Taka sends Chatot, and it gets instant kill by ember. So there is Tangrotwh left and it becomes Pulse, it takes 1 ember, lowering severely its HP, and take down Ginpei by Giga Draining it. I sent Kenji, and i use immediately Seismic toss, as i know it will deal 27 damages anyway, i almost kill the growth, but he giga drains me, making him restore 3/4 the HP dealt by Seismic toss Korrina takes the place and use slash, taking some hp from tangrowth, she takes a sludge bomb and got poisoned. Was about to slash again, but taka used a super potion, healing the tangrowth. It finished Korrina 1 turn later. Mario was my last pokemon, i sent him and used fake out to take some HPs putting him in the orange. I was predicting a super potion, so i used belly drum, boosting my Mario, i then used knock off, moving first and tanked a thunderbold from the tangrowth. Knock off again, the match is mine !...That's what i thought. Taka sent Klefki and killed my Mario before it could even move.....O. That's so frustrating....Grinding again, but this time, Mankey has to evolve, it's the only way to deal damages and not faint in one turn x_x Beated ~25 pokemons, and he finaly evolved into primeape !!!! Third Match ! Lileep VS Kenji THE PRIMEAPE This time, Karate Punch did OHKO the foe Lileep. Once more, i sent Ginpei, nasty plotting it, but this time gligar knocked of the Black belt i had, dealings only 12 Damages, lucky me :3 Ginpei crushed Gligar with ember. Same goes for Chatot. Pulse Tangrowth was 2HK0 by Ember. And Finaly, Klefki, even if it setted light screen with it's prankster ability, fainted from ember aswell giving me the real win this time ! Taka Ran away, i'm thinking of making the hardcore run only with Ginpei since the less i think the better it works x) Joke joke, i dont think Ginpei alone will be enough in middle game x) Well, I found Heather speaking loudly on me, shut up little girl , your father is corrupted è_é Well, so i'm going to Beryl, i'll save all the policemens before since i want to battle Corey on a mist corrosive to poison all my pokemons during the fight. We'll see how it goes ;o The team so far !
gryson
Be sure to take speed boost then, you'll need it for Julia X_X it is a speed boosted nature, but i will give up against julia 20 tries and cant get past chinchou combusken is level 28, and even when he doesn't ignore my orders, quick attack or flame burst don't do muth against it

My advice would be to farm Julia until you get level 31 , then you learn Bulbk up and you try to setup two bulk up against magnemite and then sweep the whole team at once. gryson
i defeated julia, now im in the slums will you catch a drak type to evole pancham? or will you wait untill you can catch scraggy
Hiroki Tatsumi
I will wait until Scraggy to evolve Korrina, i make a point to catch only Fighting types unless REALLY necessary, i'll breed that Growlith without save and if i see the pokemon isn't fighting i'll soft reset, so i'll have only fighting pokemons in my save Also, Grats for defeating Julia with a single pokemon
