Shadolance
So I had a sunny day today and I noticed the ice cream vendor. The first time I talked to her I noticed the Blue Moon Ice Cream was on sale, but when I checked a second later it was gone. It was absurdly expensive at 200,000$, so I passed it off as useless. What the hell does it actually do? I didn't buy one obviously... I read something about it boosting happiness and restoring 200HP or something? Can anyone confirm? Simon
It maximizes happiness as well as does heal of course at the amount you said above. I'm pretty sure it should have been 20,000 PokeYen though, not 200,000. It is pretty rare to get a vendor to sell it actually so you're lucky in that regard. The only other ways to get them would be through Pickup or buying from an Ice Vending Machine with a small chance to drop from it.
DerxwnaKapsyla
It has a few uses outside of that, such as being used to obtain stuff. I'll put it in a spoiler tag as to what it can do. Basically, you can use it to obtain one of two mega stones later in game, and much later on, you can give it to Titania and it'll trigger a slightly different outcome. It's unknown if that'll affect anything else though. Your best bet for obtaining it is saving before getting Ice Cream or talking to a vendor, and just reloading until it comes back. It'll take a while, but it'll happen - but that's only if you don't talk to the vendor before saving. Otherwise you're out of luck for an entire day. dead account
Blue Moon Ice Cream also gives you optional dialogue in the Water Treatment Plant by giving it to Titania when she needs to take a break. And you can get megastones for Pinsir and Heracross by giving some to Nyu in the Forest on Route 1. Edit: And I've been ninja'd. Shadolance
Ah shit now I regret not buying a few. I've got well over the amount of money I'd need for any amount of time, so I feel a bit bad now XD.
Redo.
Ah shit now I regret not buying a few. I've got well over the amount of money I'd need for any amount of time, so I feel a bit bad now XD. Best way to get one is on the Candy Shop in Obsidia Ward. First get a normal chocolate Ice Cream. Talk to the kid that wants it, and give it to him. Then buy the Vanilla Ice Cream for 1000: It's a Vanillite. Go out and enter the shop again, now the Vanilla Ice Cream is 300, spam buy them until you get a free Blue Moon (About 1% chance), but it's faster and probably cheaper than the Ice Cream vendor. Sly fox5
Honestly, besides getting the mega stones, the blue moon ice cream is not worth the trouble.
