Corphish or Binacle?

redshadow6892

Question

So I have been following Sparsyle-0 guide (though it is a little outdated in some areas with the current update E15, here is the link http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13417 ) and it says I can find Corphish and Binacle in the rock smash rocks along Apophyll Beach, but I am not seeing any. I keep running into Krabby's and I don't want one of those lol. Can they still be found here in E15? I am also not finding any items in the rocks.

Yeah, her guide is outdated. The best thing we got right now is the EV guide here

And the EV guide tells me that there are no Corphish's on the rocks around Apophyll anymore. And you might be breaking the wrong rocks for Binacle.

The rocks you're looking for are the ones in the area where Kiki was.

Why do people hate on Krabby so much.... sure, Kingler's movepool is ass, but at least give it a chance!

Because Corphish is obtainable at exactly the same time. It's best non-STAB coverage move is Knock Off, which is STAB for Crawdaunt, Crawdaunt gets priority, Kingler's Sheer Force boosts all moves by 30% while Crawdaunt's Adaptability boosts only STABs by 30% but the only SF move Kingler gets is Rock Slide via E12 breeding, etc. Sad, really :[

Also, Grawdaunt can get acces to dragon dance.

It has less speed and base defense, but a better movepool and a better ability.

Actually, they have an almost identical movepool, even if you include E12. Waterfall, Knock Off, X-Scissor, Rock Slide, Brick Break, Superpower, Swords Dance, Dig. The only differences are that Crawdaunt gets DD, Superpower without needing a tutor and Aqua Jet and...that's all it takes.

And Sheer Force and Adaptability are both a 30% boost, but SF is the better since it boosts way more moves and even lets you negate Life Orb recoil. But the movepool and Adp Knock Off are all it takes :/

(Wasnt knowing the Life Orb thing, you learn new things every day)

Sadly, Sheer Force doesnt work with all though, it doesnt work on Crabhammer for example but only on Waterfall, which has a fairy big drop in base damage. Also Adaptability has a net bonus damage increase of 33,3 %, a bit more then Sheer Force (And doesnt remove bonus effects), and works on every STAB.

With the Life Orb, Sheer Force becomes stronger, but still limitated to a fairly narrow movepool and an item slot away (Although a Life Orb without any drawbacks is definitly worth it)

Imagine if Crawdaunt got Sucker Punch of my loooord. Adaptability changes the 1.5x stab (same type attack bonus) to 2x. So a stab crabhammer without Adaptability would have 150 base power. But with adaptability it would be 200. :]

Kingler would be better if it got waterfall, they want you to use crabhammer. They knew 130 base attack sheer force waterfall would be devastaing. All you need is agility and or Swords Dance.

I definitely recommend Corphish. Corphish and Crawdaunt both get Adaptability, Aqua Jet and Knock off. ENuff said.

Guys, you know what's REALLY sad? Kingler doesn't even get Waterfall :( Honestly, it's either one's game, if you don't have a Dark type Crawdaunt would be better, but if you wanna use something new there's always the power that is Shell Smash Barbaracle

Oh wow, that's really sad, since Waterfall + Sheer Force wouldve been so nice.

Well, back to Crawdaunt I guess.

Binacle. Barbaracle gets shell smash, access to nature power. It can basically sweep gyms, annihilate meteor bases and obliterate other trainers all on its own. Crawdaunt is too slow/frail and takes a lot of breeding to get what it needs, let alone the lack of knock off tutors in the game.
