Joltik and Beldum

Shadolance

Question

Looking for Joltik and Beldum, I know there was a weird method involving a Tauros to get Beldum, btu Ame said it was not legit? I don't want to do it if we aren't intended to get it until later so if there's an exploit I don't want it. But what about Joltik? Something on Route 1 but can't find it. Thanks team ;)

Joltik is in North Adventurine Woods, somewhere in the middle of the route (can't remember) and surrounded by a ton of webs. You need a Tauros to get to it, and Honey to tear down the stuff that gets in the way.

I'm not sure about the Beldum being legit thing, but you'd need a Data Chip (7th Street southwest vendor) and a Level 50> that can be easily fainted by the 'mons in Route 1 to get the Tauros into Bysbixion Wasteland. Also, prepare a 'mon that can induce Sleep status + lots of Ultra Balls; Beldum is a bitch to catch.

53:45 for Beldum

There was a video guide for Joltik somewhere on YouTube, but I can't find the exact one that I looked at before OTL

Yeah so I watched a video about Joltik and there's a big log in front of the area where you jump up that I can't get over. It's pressed up as far as it will go north so the only way around it is through the tall grass, which Tauros won't go in. Tried cannon balling another Boufallant at it and that did nilch.

Bump!

Same Problem ... Is there any trick to get the Joltik?

I have saw mutiple videos, but none of them is showing this log.

I second wytch_doctor, there should be a tree around the log. Also, an useful tip while exploring route 1: everything has a way to reach it, just look around carefully :)

About the Beldum thing: Probably it is legit, because the event involves using the Tauros to climb ledges in order to reach a certain room. Some signs in the way to said room actually mock the fact that you "just rode a bull up that ladder" along the way. Maybe it's not the most obvious logic, but it's certainly acknowledged by Ame.

Just keep in mind that Beldum is meant to be catched after Luna's Gym (9th badge). Fainting on a Tauros before will make it disappear as soon as you touch the ground of the Wasteland Hideout.

Remember to take a weak pokemon and one that can use Spore. Beldum is at level one and its only move is Take Down. Personally I haven't had much trouble catching it (sheer luck, I guess), but Beldum has the lowest catch rate of the game, the same as the legendaries, so be aware.
