Last week, my friend introduced me to Pokemon Reborn. And the title was my reaction.

I thought it was something that needed an emulator. I never played farther than Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald because... I hated the two screens for DS.

Anyways, I've been lurking a little here and there, posting randomly. Took me a while to post this since... I was playing the game itself. It can be very distracting, you know? :P

Decided to make a 'Welcome Me' thread because... why not

Well, I read something about having 500 posts but I wanted to make legit posts if I can, and this counts so here I am!

So hello there! I'm Avarice! (I usually use 'Sapphire' as a username but it can get confusing. And there may or may not be conspiracy theories made about that name because... Amethyst. o3o)

Very First Impressions with Pokemon Reborn:

1) OOOH RANDOM POKEMON APPEARED ON THE STREET! Must chase desu! :ph34r:

2) Lol what. Ow. Gym leader, why you hit so hard?

3) I have no monies. ._. Forever hobo. Q_Q

Basically those three.

No worries. Contrary to the last two first impressions (see what I did there hehe), I am still very much enjoying this complexity from this unique Pokemon game.

Like my (current) name, I'm fond of collecting Pokemon. I'd be taking so long, walking back and forth in the wild forest/sea/caves or close to the daycare center hatching eggs. Basically getting all the Pokemon I can. So I really loved how some Pokemon can be gotten from events. It's a fresh, not boring, and oftentimes plot-filled way to obtain them. Me likey so much desu.

I actually plan to start a new game because I got a Pokemon that can be found later in the game from the Growlithe event. I really hate to waste a chance to get a Pokemon you can't get later (currently, anyways. I know Ame's bound to place currently unobtainable Pokemon into the game).

And the NPCs in the game... are not useless to talk to. Like, it's not at all testing my patience most of the time since what the other characters in the game say are interesting and/or can be used as hints to continue on into the game.

The character development and conspiracy plots in this game are just... WOW.

...Oops. Noticing now that my post is getting long.

All this in an essay just to force you all to welcome me. :D

-And to address some of the things you said, the 500 posts thing has been changed to 750 posts and having a 6-month-old account.

-Money is pretty useless in the game. You'll need it for basic supplies early on, maybe some stuff from the Department Store and a shortcut way later that takes 40k to unlock. You'll be raking in that useless dough soon enough~

-Check out the Trading Service topic in the Team Showcase section. The Growlithe event does give you one of 18 different things, but just because you got something you don't like doesn't mean you can't trade it in for something else. And a lot of people that get a Larvesta or something make a small army of them just for trading, so it shouldn't be that hard for you to get a bargain with someone.

-Warning points are only given for things that are against the community rules (iirc) (you have a link to the rules to the left, where your messenger and stuff are).

D'aww! Thank you all for the warm welcome! It's pretty late where I'm from so I didn't think I'd be garnering any replies so soon. Then in my sleepiness, I forgot that there's a thing called timezone. /).(\

And don't worry, a bit later on in the game, you'll fight Trainers that aren't hobos and will give more money. c:

If you think this game is good, you oughta see our Fan Game Exposé subforum. A lot of our members are cooking up some nice stuff over there too.

Oh yes I was checking one out earlier! I think it was called Pokemon Rejuvenation. I'm still working around this game currently though but I look forward to checking out and playing other Pokemon Fan games. ^_^

Hello there! I *try* to keep it short. And my friend isn't fond of forums so he lurks more often than not. :ph34r: He's a ninja.

I try to pull away from the blue (despite it being my fave color... cause blue is awesome). I still answer to it from habit. :P

People seem so friendly here so I think I will. See you all around, too! ^_^

It IS offline, but you can upload your save and people can do that for ya, if you find someone to trade with. Check the Trading Service topic for details (use the search feature to find it). Though a trade feature is supposed to be put into the game in E16/17.

No worries about that, only the people that know what they are doing are doing it. The process is pretty simple, I don't tthere IS anything that can be messed up.

And even if something skmehow DOES happen, there's the back-up save system, so yeah.

Sure can, though it's uncertain if it'll be done in ltime for E16 abd E16 probs won't be out this year. Then again, your game, your call.
