Lord Chespin
If you take 20 or 30 from HP and put it into the ridiculously low SpA, you have the same result tbh. Ah, good idea. Thanks!
IntSys
Kinda a shame that this place has died since 2015, but it seems that posting here now won't count as necroposting (That's what the Directory thread told me), so I'll insert a 'Mon.Chesire Type: Steel / Psychic Abilities: Magic Guard / En passant, Hidden Ability - Promotion HP: 100Attack: 142Defense: 120Special Attack: 108Special Defense: 90Speed: 20BST: 580Egg Group: Undiscovered (Note: Genderless!) Weight: 140 kgHeight: 4 mDex Color: Black Chesire is an enchanted totem of steel that forms into the shape of a King piece in Western Chess. It lives in caves rich of iron, and uses its powers to animate the iron into living Pawn pieces. Chesire sees its own cave as his kingdom, and will use its power to protect the inhabitants of the cave. It also manages trades and diplomatic deals with the outside world. The head of Chesire is a silver crown, with a pair of golden eyes. Two thick black stripes extend from its crown to its base, with the rest of its body colored in dark grey. Its base is completely black. Signature Abilities:En passent: As long as the user's on the field, any switches done on the user's side hurts the opponent directly across from the switched Pokemon by 25% of their total HP. Promotion: If the user survives eight turns consecutively in a battle without switching out, it receives +1 Boost on all of its stats, akin to the boost from Ancient Power. Can only activate once per battle.Signature Moves:Capture Type: Steel Category: Physical Power: 60Accuracy: --PP: 5 (8) Target: 1 Adjacent FoeContact: Yes Description: The user stamps on the target with its entire body. If the target is weak to Steel, it will be OHKO'd. If the target resists Steel, the move will fail. Command Type: Psychic Category: StatusPower: --Accuracy: -- PP: 5 (8)Priority: +5Target: Any Ally on the field.Contact: NoDescription: The user uses its psychic powers to control an ally on the field. When selected in the Battle Screen, the targeted ally's moves will be available for selection, and whatever move picked will be used by that ally first before it makes its own move, if the moves share the same priority. The limitations caused by the target's hold item still applies (ie. Life Orb recoil, Choice items) Note that the ally does not receive +5 priority through this move.Basically giving an ally the user's turn. The idea behind Chesire is simply the King piece in Chess. Its speed echoes the fact that the King moves slowly on the Chess board. Its name comes from Chess and Sire. By the way, notice how there's no Dark-type moves in Chesire's entire movepool? It's a reference to how high standards of etiquette and ethics are expected in Chess plays (At least, high level Chess plays).Chesire's designed to be a dangerous Doubles/Triples Pokemon that has multiple sets to use. It could run a Trick Room set in tandem with Swords Dance, making it a dangerous sweeper. If the Physical side of Chesire isn't your type, you could try Calm Mind instead, supported by Chesire's pool of special moves. Outside of Trick Room, it could use Command to lend an ally its turn. Although this could fail miserably if the said ally gets KO'd before moving, basically wasting an entire turn. In Singles, it can be an effective lead with Stealth Rock and Dual Screen support, and a slow Volt Switch to ensure the next Pokemon's safety. Such lead sets could also run Capture to OHKO certain tanks and sweepers such as Clefable, Mega Gardevoir, Kyurem-Black and Tyranitar.En Passant makes allied U-Turn and Volt Switch Pokemon extremely dangerous, causing Chesire to be more prioritized by the opponent. Promotion can be used in combination of Protect, Fake Out and other stall techniques in order to give Chesire a horrifying sweeping opportunity, although it would be hard considering Doubles and Triples being mostly Hyper Offensive. Magic Guard lets Chesire set up on Leech Seed-reliant tanks such as Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn.Chesire's not without faults, tho. Physical Attacking variants are stopped by physical tanks packing Scald or Will-O-Wisp. Special Attacking variants are stopped cold by special tanks such as Chansey and Blissey. Chesire's lack of reliable recovery outside of Rest further makes it weak against tanks. I might get around making the counterpart of Chesire, which would be the based off the Queen piece.
