AzOTimE
Currently at Blake on Ametrine Mountain, and I need to change my team up in order to be able to beat him.I was wondering if there are any good grind spots nearby. Also, what kind of setup did you use in order to beat him, and are there any good nearby catchable pokemon for the fight? Thanks. laggless01
I used Metagross/Scrafty, but since you can't get Metagross early anymore that ship doesn fly anymore. (fyi, I used Bullet Punch to speed up once (and destoy a frail mon, then Meteor Mashed everything else. At the same time, three HJKs from Scrafty brought down an equal amount of mons. Really easy like that.)You could try to remove the field with a quick EQ-user. You could pair that with Levitate Bronzong (powerful Gyro Balls too, especially when paralyzed). In general, I recommend fast (physical) steel- and fighting-types, since their attacks aren't affected by the field (except BP, MP and Vacuum Wave, they render you a nice speed boost), and few of Blake's mons deal with physical hits that well. AzOTimE
I don't think that there are many steel / fight types available, as I can't go back beyond agate circus +-
Cross296
I don't think that there are many steel / fight types available, as I can't go back beyond agate circus +- Pawniard is on route 4 beside Calcenon, Bronzong can be caught on route 3 which is also near Calcenon, you can get Timburr from a rather annoying Agate Circus puzzle and you can get both Machoke and Meditite on route 2. wytch_doctr
Bronzong with trick room and Heavy Slam won the fight for me. Pair it with a good fighting type and you're golden.

The field has been changed from the icy field to the icy mountain for EP15, so EQ does not work anymore. You need fire moves to melt the field, though the steel types are a better choice I think, given you need 2 fire pokemon to make melting the field a worthwhile choice. Dragon116
Hawlucha is available in route 2, and it's arguably the best fighting type around.
