So I just decided to make this topic for this reason: to ask which Pokémon you folks tend to prefer when faced between a similar pair of Pokémon, such as the Lati Twins, Nidoking and Nidoqueen, or Solrock and Lunatine.

I personally tend to lean towards the more offensive one, such as Latios and Nidoking because I tend to be pressed for time and stall ain't my style.

Meowstic female, all the way. Those little buggers are power houses if used correctly. As for Unown, I love the I for, just because an I was my first shiny Pokemon ever. As luck or chance would have it, I later got a shiny Unown in Reborn, that was also an I.

I'm copypasting from Ice Cream's beacause otherwise I would not remember from the top of my head, and having this list is nice. Way to go Sand Witch!

Nidos: both. Offensive or defensive, I actually like both pretty much. Never really use any of them tho.

Pinsir/Heracross: Heracross. That guts is just too good to pass on. And I like skill link more than aerilate if we go into megas.

Tauros/Miltank: Miltank. Fatty ass pink cow that pulled the entire weight of my RU team back in the day (dunno which tier this thing is in now). Even in-game, milk drink, body slam, attract, rollout.... it just destroys stuff.

Lunatone/Solrock: Both, like the nidos. I like the whole sun and moon theme, and I could not choose one without the other. I always need to catch both and call one aster and the other eclipse xD

Lotad/Seedot: Lotad (ludicolo amirite?), better typing for defensive purposes, and quite an interesting combo, at that. Plus the ice beam coverage and the better bulk.

Sableye/Mawile: I can't choose between them. I just can't. Regular sableye and regular mawile are two of my fav mons of gen 3, and while I don't really like where they went with mega sableye, mega mawile is among my fav megas, so I suppose I preffer it.

Volbeat/Illumise: Illumise, since it won me a random battle where it was standing with a mega audino against 5 mons of the opposing team. The guy had keldeo and darkrai, and I got no legendaries whatsoever, so he proceeded to destroy everything except for this bulky ass mega audino that single-handedly killed 4 of his mons and when this darkrai comes out and I get illumise out in the nasty plot, prankster encore and bug buzz won me the game. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably say volbeat since it gets tail glow, but illumise has a spot on my heart now.

Zangoose/Seviper: Zangoose. Toxic boost facade just clears the battlefield from anything non-ghost.

Latias/Latios: Latias. The stat difference between the siblings are small, but I do like latias more bulky/defensive oriented set than that of latios. Mega latias can hit hard AND it takes hits better than mega latios, and it is a great levitate-defog helper.

Mew/Mewtwo: Mewtwo. The.Power.

Lugia/Ho-Oh: Lugia. Ho-Oh is one of my least fav legendaries, not stat wise, only design wise. Lugia isn't too much of my liking but, being bulkier and having a design I like more, then I choose it.

Manaphy/Phione: Manaphy. I mean what can phione do that manaphy can't? tail glow wins games sometimes.

Cresselia/Darkrai: Cresselia. Again, love bulky mons, and feminine ones, and cresselia is both. Annoying as fuck to battle against, maybe, but has a place in my heart. I kinda like darkrai with all his nasty plot/dark void/bad dreams shenanigans but still....

Ninjask/Shedinja: Shedinja. Ninjask is great baton pass action but shedinja once the threats have been cleared and hazards are not in the way, you just can't do nothing about it. A shame that it no longer learns the same moves as ninjask tho.

Butterfree/Beedrill: Butterfree is annoying as fuck with perfect accuracy spore, but.......it is better in game, not gonna lie. Mega beedrill tho....

Gothitelle/Reuniclus: Reuniclus. Cell rabbit baby with magic guard? hell yeah!

Gyarados/Milotic: Milotic if it is on looks, gyarados if it is on use. I have never used milotic, but intimidate bulky gyarados has been on some of my teams and that thing is good.

Unown: WXYZ. Dunno I always catch those 4 ones.

Meowstic: female. It hits harder, and it's prettier IMO.

Added:

Plusle/Minum: plusle. Dunno I like red better.

Heatmor/Durant: durant I find more interesting, yet both are good on their own.

Gengar/Clefable: hard to choose, but Clefable in the end. It's just better for the way I use it, plus magic guard. Gengar got that uber mega tho....

Xerneas/Yveltal: hard one since I like both......geomancy xerneas I hate when fighting against, while yveltal I also hate when fighting against. They're bulky and can recover from damage, and are strong. Well, they're legendaries after all.

Vileplume/Weepinbell: vileplume. It's the better one IMO, despite not leech seed for some reason....

Reshiram/zekrom: both are kinda over-designed IMO, and among the ugliest legendaries but.... reshiram. White dragon of fire just strikes me better.

Alakazam/Machamp: alakazam. It is better in general I think.
