Yo, it's a pleasure to be joining you all here at Reborn, and I look forward to meeting you guys, girls, and persons of non-binary distinction.

My pseudonym is Derax, or Dex for short if you'd prefer.

As I'm sure is the case with a lot of people here, I have shofu to thank for showcasing Pokemon Reborn on youtube, which eventually led me here, where I've been a bit stalkerish until now, having finally made an account.

Just going to say this now; I'm sorry for the number of times I use the word 'I,' or variations of, in my posts.

Now with that out the way, allow me to divulge a little bit about myself;

  • At the time of posting this I'm doing a master's degree
  • I've a bachelor's degree in something geology related
  • I've an interest in foreign languages: Japanese, Russian, Spanish and French to name a few (can't speak much of any mind)
  • I frequently write stuff, namely fanfictions
  • Occasionally I attempt to draw stuff
  • Rarely I'm funny
  • I'm a self confessed grumpy git

And that about sums me up atm. If you want to know anything more about me, or just have a chat; you can often find me on the Fairy Tail wiki chat, and if you'd like to have a read of any of my current (read; dead) fanfics, you can find my fanfiction.net account under the pseudonym Durecel.

If there's a forum/thread somewhere with the rules of engagement here, I'd be most appreciative if someone could point me in its direction. Thank you.

Welcome Dex. If anything is unclear about how to interact here on the forums feel free to shoot me a PM, it's kind of my job to help with that but I'd be doing it if it wasn't anyway. Geology huh? That takes me back, I majored in geology when I was an undergrad, wasn't all that good at it though. Then I did an honours year in something fossil related and... well it was really hard to cut it short, good but hard. With that in mind good luck with your masters!

I do indeed, and thank you for pointing me to it Kuma. Only thing I can imagine you'd see my name for on ff.net is for a CHERUB work I did, don't know >.<

Good God, another geologist D: Without wishing to sound arrogant, I hated geology, I just happened to be good at it >.< 'fossil-' please don't swear at me like that ( ;_;) And thank you also :)

Thank you Amateur, if I listed all the languages I'd like to learn we'd be here till next year, but I suppose the reasons I'd like to learn Russian and Japanese is just because the cultures fascinate me and the people - at least the one's I've met - are incredibly hospitable and it just feels rude not being able to speak to them in their native language.

Eeeeh... ^_^" you can find some of my drawings on my DA (same user name), but be warned that there is NSFW literature on it by me, and I don't advise anyone under 18 looking at my favs there... As for the avi, I wish I could draw as well as the artist/author who designed Brandish, she's by a mangaka called Hiro Mashima, author of RAVE and Fairy Tail as well as a myriad of lesser known works.

Everyone can be grumpy, I just happen to be such a realist that optimists mistake it for pessimism... the bastards. :D
