Apollo and Alecks

The amount of power that was emitted from the clash of Apollo and blue eyes surprised Alecks. Once the flame wheel had made contact, the two attacks clashed with each other though Rascal's Helping Hand seemed to definitely prove extremely helpful in how much stronger it had made Apollo's attack. The shockwave that was emitted from the fight pushed the two combatants back from each other only slightly compared to how much the other fighters had been pushed back.

The flames died away from Apollo's body while he back flipped in the air as he was pushed back before his feet hit the ground only a couple feet away from the Patrat. Sweat was clearly seen dripping down the little monkey's face as he glared at the enemy rat, slight pants escaping from him as the exertion had taken more out of him than he had thought it would have. His body stood tensely at the ready, though it seems he had taken some damage from the clash of the two attacks.

Alecks inspected his partner closely, not sure how much damage he had really taken from the fight. "Are you all right Apollo?" He asked, slight worry in his voice. But Apollo quickly dispelled all his anxieties as he looked back at his trainer with a small smile on his sweat covered face as he gave a small nod.

"Chim!" The fire monkey yelped confidently, he wanted to continue this fight. It was just getting fun after all. With a small hand, he wiped the sweat from his brow and turned his attention back towards his opponent.

A proud smile appeared on Alecks' face, he felt lucky to have been able to partner up with Apollo. "Ok then, let's not let up on our assault!" Inspecting the blue eyed Patrat, it seemed that the rat was having trouble dealing with the constant assaults from all fronts. Alecks locked eyes with Jason, it was time to finish with this Patrat so they could focus on the others. "Jason, let's finish him. Let's combine our attacks again so he doesn't stand a chance!" A simultaneous attack from Jason's, Alecks', and Jack's pokemon would no doubt put the Patrat out for the count.

Alecks saw how close Apollo was to blue eyes, the Patrat had been able to dodge Apollo's attack before but now that they were so close it would be harder for him to sidestep in time. "Apollo, use Ember!"

Once again, the little monkey could feel the fire burning within his stomach as he prepared his attack. With a loud cry, Apollo spat out hot bolts of fire that sped straight for the Patrat.

Yo, shadow, 1 slight issue here. That Shockwave I described actually actually only effected and blew away gomez, rascal, and lara. Both Bingo and Apollo are meant to still be holding their ground and locked into the clash (in turn creating an opportunity for the other three to teak up and finish bingo off with a group back attack while he's busy holding up against the flame wheel)

I responded to Shadow's post as if Apollo were still locked in the clash.

I wasn't really sure if one more attack would finish Loam and Titan's opponent. And since the hosts want to move this chapter along, I figured I'll let Stratos decide which Patrat gets tackled to potentially speed things up.

@K_H: I'm wondering why Leonidas and Lara are doing everything by themselves. Jack hasn't given any instructions as far as I can remember and right now I'm imagining him just standing there like a sack of potatoes. The only thing he seems to be doing is smiling while his allies are getting their asses handed to them which, personally, I find a bit weird.

I agree wholeheartedly. I can personally assure you that unless Jack is giving orders those Pokemon will not win. They're the functional equivalent of children. Act like it.

They have a point. I myself didn't really notice it very much it since we've already spent so long here that I just been trying to hurry things up so we can wrap up and move to the next chapter... but now that I go back and look at it.

Kenny. Don't forget what we talked about earlier. Really. Don't.

I forced my hand earlier for a reason.

I've let it slide since up until right now, I just was too busy to pay attention. But uh, now that I am...

if Jack does not give any orders to his team, they will fall against hog. The same as everyone else's partners would fall against him if their trainer just stood around off screen doing nothing.

That's why I had Jack suggest using some of their 'mons to hold the Watchog in place.

You all know of Aesop's Fable called "The Bundle of Sticks", right? Right now, our Trainers are acting like the individual sticks.

Step into my office kids, close the door, have a seat. We need to talk about something real quick:

Before we start though: Kenny, that plan would've never work. With the exception of Titan, Hog is easily bigger and heavier than all the starters and partners at this point, and with that Analytic, Damage Boosted Revenge going, they would just end up being flung away like rag dolls the moment they try to grab onto him.

But that is besides the point, or actually... it kinda is the point, because in all honesty, Kenny has come about the closest to what I've been trying to get you guys to do.

You guys need to step up your group strategy. Like, just gonna put it as absolutely bluntly as I can, because the myriad of hints and nudges I've been trying to give IC with each update since Hog has joined in again are obviously being either ignored or simply aren't getting the desired point across. Sooooooo... instead of trying to be subtle and do this with finese, I'm just gonna force my hand like I did with Kenny earlier

This whole thing about people keep rushing into the fray and attacking over and over again, like they've been doing basically from the start, expecting the same result from a course of action that has been proven to fail several posts earlier? Yeah... that needs to stop now, because I'm starting to lose my patience with this fight from how long it's starting to drag on because of that. So here's what I'ma do...

And pray to Arceus that the others stop taking their sweet ass time and get over here to help overwhelm the giant Merekat... because it was fastly becoming obvious that banding together everything they all had in them against the Watchog was the only way they could possibly win this. They had strength in numbers... it may damn well be their saving grace, right here, and right now.

But one thing was certain though, given how things had turned out... less than desirable on several other of the attacking fronts. The trainers had the advantage of raw numbers, yes, but unless they could learn to communicate with one another in the heat of battle, coordinate their offense and turn it from the haphazard, random series of blows it currently was into a flowing, sequential onslaught of organized teamwork... things were still gonna be very tough here.

These posts right here. They say virtually everything. The strategy you guys have been going for is "Attack, Attack, Attack, keep up the offensive and just keep attacking". And thus far, you're results have consitatenly been...

Rush in to attack boss without an actual plan, Boss either dodges or attacks come back to bite in the ass.

You guys seeing the patterns I'm lying down? Wait, no? Fine...

COME WITH A PLAN, OR LEAVE IN DEFEAT.

Stop the random, constant attacks. You've been doing that since the beginning of this thing, and it may have worked against the lesser Patrats and the officers because you had the advantage of raw numbers, but not Hog. That much has been more than proven, because I've gone out of my to make it obvious, and doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result every time despite knowing that it consistently fails, is as Einstein put it: The definition of Insainity.

So uh... here's how it's gonna work, I'ma lay down the law of this scene, right here, right now.

Either you guys can cool your jets for like, one damn minute, just one damn minute, talk to each other IC, and come up with a detailed plan on how you're all gonna team up to overwhelm Hog, and who's gonna perform what specific role in said plan... because "We just need to keep being on the offensive and wear him down, he can dodge all he wants but sooner or later he's going to get tired and sloppy." Ain't good enough.

or I just start KOing folks. Es that simple, Mihos.

This fight was supposed to be challenging, but not impossible. But you guys are making it impossible for yourselves to win by not taking the hints I've been trying to practically throw at you. Hog is an opponent who is meant to teach the PCs teamwork and cooperation, very early on in the story so that later, when the real Big boys come out to play, they at least stand a chance of not having their asses completely handed to them on a silver platter. So... would you guys rather take this opportunity I'm trying to give now, learn to swim while you're still in the shallow kiddy pool and have your floaties, or would you rather I just toss you into the river later and shout from the banks "Sink or Swim, Kiddos!"

It's your choice people. I've tried to make this obvious. I've tried dropping hints on how to beat him

But obvious didn't seem to be working.

Not at all related to what's going on right now, but I just finished figuring out which legendary Pokemon will be appearing in relation to the plot. No spoilers, but there are 13 that will be making it into the main story.

None of the Pokemon featured in the Main Quest will be catchable. However, as other (non-player) characters will demonstrate, it is possible to befriend legendaries rather than catch them.

Please, please tell us more about the legendaries! C'mon man, just a hint!

Ugh, fine. Twist my arm, why don't you? The Musketeers will be included as will several other gen 5 legendaries. I mixed in a few from older generations because they're awesome and fit for the story.

Many of them will provide a shocking plot exposition alongside their featured scene.

Tommorow morning, when I wake up... first thing I will do is take my shotgun here and fucking murder those two why not s for trespassing.

It's too late at night for me to go spilling the blood of pest though. They got lucky... for now.

Oh, and... don't think this is the last you've seen of the magnificent Clan Lord Hog, kiddos...someday, once he has led his people to wander about the dessert for 40 years, following a column of smoke by day and flame by night, guided by the lord arceus...

Also I have added in a theme song for hugh.

and a Mysterious Mysteriosa has also made an appearance...
