XxSilentWinterxX
I've decided to do a fire and ice run in preparation for the E16 release of Pokemon Reborn. I know the release won't be for a while but I just wanna try something different. All Pokemon I use must be fire, ice, or have either as a primary or secondary typing (ex. Seel evolves into Dewgong which is part ice so I can use it) The only exceptions is needing HM slaves I'll catch event Pokemon, but they won't be used and will be put in a box called "Token Box". I'll catch and raise a Pokemon for trade (if the Pokemon I'm gonna receive is a fire or ice type) but no other trades can be done. I'm gonna try my best to beat the Garchomp battle, but I can't make guarantees. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Trainer Name: ArielBadges: 1============================Battle versus Cain: WonBattle versus Victoria: Fail Battle Versus Fern: This is going to be an interesting battle indeed. I start off with Seel and he sends out Lotad. Seel's signal beam doesn't quite kill and Lotad retaliates with absorb, but it barely left a mark. He wastes his next turn using the potion (which was great anyways) and I take it out with another signal beam and headbutt. He then sends out his Snivy and I return Seel for Sneasel. Sneasel starts off with Fake Out, rendering her opponent useless. She quickly makes work of it with Ice Punch. To finish his team off, he sends out Budew and I send out Vulpix. A few embers and that took care of that. After he mumbles and calls me a loser (which is ironic cause I beat him), he goes off on his way. I go back and heal my Pokemon before I go and face Julia's gym...or so I thought. She blocked me and said she had business to attend to, a.k.a. I need to help her. Sighing, I made my way over to the factory. This wouldn't have bothered me aside from the fact I was having to work with Fern. Julia got very lucky in working with Florinia. So our "adventure" in the factory begins. Battle versus Aster and Eclipse: Started off the match with Sneasel, and landed the Fake Out. Of course, Elekid's static paralyzed me but I ended up one beating it with Ice Punch. When Budew went down and left just Magby, I switched out to Charmeleon. Fern's Lotad went down to Magby and I finished Magby off with Dragon Rage, so it wasn't too terrible. All in all, a pretty easy match. So after everything's said and done with Team Meteor, Julia blows up the darn place (in which we have very little time to get out anyways), and she invites me to challenge her at the gym. The first thing I need to do though is train before challenging her. After a bit of training and grabbing some token mons, I was ready to face Julia. I was actually pretty darn nervous due to the fact that I had a water type going against a bunch of electric types. With my fingers gracing the top of the Pokeball, I began my gym battle with Julia. Gym Leader Battle versus Julia: For this battle, I decided to start off with Sneasel while Julia starts off with Helioptile....um, long story short, Charmeleon took out most of the threats with Dragon Rage while Sneasel took out Emolga, Helioptile,Blitzle and Electrode. It was a pretty easy win to say the least. I was expecting more of a challenge, but oh well. After I got my badge (and the Tm for charge beam), I see Victoria standing outside of the gym. She congratulated me on my badge before panicking over evil plants or some sort of nonsense. In a flash, she said bye and went on her way. I headed on back to the Pokemon Center and healed my team for the time being. I go onto the Opal bridge and see Florinia about to enter into the Obsidia Ward. After a brief chat, she tells the guards to let me in, which is a freaking blessing in disguise. When I got there however, I was in utter shock. Plants were really taking over the city. I knew this wouldn't be a joke, so I attempted to train my team some more...only to run into Victoria once more. Victoria Battle #2: Won Finally after that, I go back and heal my Pokemon. I remember hearing rumors of a fire type that hides out under the Opal Bridge when it rains. Perhaps I should go check it out when it rains again? Until then, I'll just keep my team ready for anything that comes our way. Cobalt996
Well, good luck! It should be possible, since Fire and Ice are individually doable. May rainy Lapis Ward trainers NOT be the hardest gym for you. Remember: Aqua gang for the early Ponyta, since Houndour is gotten at the same time regardless of who you join, but Magma's doesn't get egg moves. I'm gonna try my best to beat the Garchomp battle, but I can't make guarantees. Pretty sure Heatmor can solo Garchomp from the get-go. Not saying how, though~
Luna
well garchomp fight can be easily won if you soft reset until you get a Houndour with destiny bond from magma gang event or the easy way is to get a Jynx/Smoochum and train it until it learns perish song which is lvl 45 for Smoochum and lvl 55 for Jynx( also you can use heart scale on Jynx to get perish song but you will need older episodes to do this) . Not really sure what egg moves houndour from magma gang can have so i guess the best and safe way to beat garchomp is perish song by Jynx. you can get smoochum once you can rock smash you just need to some how beat that lvl 57 beartic. XxSilentWinterxX
Thank you. Sorry I haven't had a chance to upload since I've had some major medical issues going on in real life. I also have a question regarding sprites. To use them, can I just upload them onto Photobucket and use them as needed or do I need permission from Amethyst for that? (I won't have any sprites unfortunately until I know for sure. Better safe than sorry. ^^;; )But in this episode, I cleared the Obsidia Ward, got a few new mons, leveled up and am now ready to take on Florinia.VS. PULSE Tangrowth. Wren made that match quite easy for the most part. After she went down to a crit Acid Spray from Tangrowth, I sent out Charmeleon to use Dragon Rage and defeat it. I got a little cocky thinking Wren could take it down with any issues. When Obsidia returned to normal, I headed to the Coral Ward where I met a woman named Amaria and ran into Cain. Cain offered his Grimer to help a poor stranded Oshawott and bring it to safety. The water type became bonded with Cain so he made an exception and added it to his team. This led to a battle between Cain and I once more. VS. Cain This battle itself wasn't that difficult. I had Charmeleon basically destroy everything with Ember or Dragon Rage. I had Seel come out and defeat the Oshawott though because he needed the levels. When that battle was done, I went back up to the Obsidia park. I had to train Token up so I could get ice cream so I could gather my next teammate. That little jerk took 17 levels for ONE chocolate ice cream (Yet I grabbed Full Restores and Nuggets with no problem xD). Alas, it was enough to get the job done. So, with enough money and a desire to get a frosty treat, I SCOOPED my next teammate up from the ice cream machine. I also battled around the Onyx ward and grabbed the coin case to grab yet another teammate. I wasn't sure at first if all of that Voltorb flip would be worth it, but somehow, I was pleasantly surprised with my new Slugma. This meant a lot of grinding for my new mates and a long awaited beatdown for Fern. VS. Fern Wren once again dominated this fight along with my Vulpix and Charmeleon. I now see why Sneasel isn't available early on in-game. It's either that or Fern really must suck. I pick the latter option. But, I went back to heal and grabbed some more healing items then I went onto face Florinia. Vs. Florinia I started off with Vanillite just to get rid of Maractus. Mist and Icy Wind destroyed it. Then it came to Ferroseed, Cacnea and Cottonee being taken down by Vulpix and Charmeleon respectively. Breloom and Cradily were a challenge for some reason. Sneasel got destroyed by a smack down from Cradily, but I had to switch into Vulpix for a burn from Will O Wisp before switching back to Charmeleon. Charmeleon had to deal with some heal spam before dragon rage took it down. This was my hardest battle thus far in this run and I earned the next badge. Afterwards, I cleared the Jasper Ward and the nearing forest (is it Rhindocrine?). I couldn't find any new encounters there, but a certain trainer's Chatot saved me from being trapped by a cage made by Nuzleaf. I was not getting on my knees to please Fern. I don't care how much he wants me it to happen. Then I battled Taka once again and another Tangrowth. VS. Taka Strategy: Wren one shots basically everything except Lileep and Tangrowth. I loved obliterating Chatot way more than I should admit. xD But I used my Seel and Vanillite to take out Lileep and used my Slugma to help take a hit from Tangrowth. I have no idea how Slugma won that battle but it became the MVP. But yay Incinerate? XD Once I cleared out Jasper, I headed to Beryl Ward. I finished up most of it so I could get the Policeman saved (and the Growlithe). Unfortunately, my mystery egg didn't end up Larvesta but a Phantump. I'm alright with that though, and I rescued Litleo from Klingklang. For now, I'm training a bit for the upcoming battles. I'll feature those and the 3rd gym leader in the next post! Who knows, maybe your name will make the cut! Until next time!
Damage
Man this team has to be hard to do since there is no synergy between the two. Also what are your plans for rock types since fire and ice have a common weakness... (wait why is that?)
