Stalkerkain
So recently, my friend informed me that my graphics card is a potato and proceeded to hurt my feelings. I know practically nothing when it comes to computers, so I decided it was time to consult some strangers on teh interwebs. Really, the only game I play is Vindictus, and preferably I'd like to max out the graphics on that (unless the rest of my comp can't support it then welp). My budget is $300 CAD (more, if you really think it's worth the investment). The following is my specs: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 1/18/2016, 19:03:33 Machine name: RICHARD-HP Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10240) (10240.th1.150930-1750) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: h8-1012c BIOS: Ver: 08.00.10 Processor: Intel® Core i7-2600S CPU @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.8GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8174MB RAM Page File: 5429MB used, 6651MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: 11.2 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled Miracast: Not Available Microsoft Graphics Hybrid: Not Supported DxDiag Version: 10.00.10240.16384 64bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6570 Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Hexagoen
Well, being an AMD fanboy to death, I can't really tell you much about other graphic cards, however, if you really want something other than AMD, try Nvidia whatever their latest version is. Or just upgrade your AMD card. You have the processor to do it, so why not? Tl;Dr try looking up Nvidia and AMD brands.
Rcmsnake
im from RSA,so pricing is a bit different, but.. from what I can find http://www.shopbot.ca/graphics-cards/components/canada/83#tab_offers you are looking at a R9 380 and nvidea 960 cards in your price range, just make sure your PSU would support the card you choose. the cards perform similar so I would say its all up to personal preference
Lostelle
I use a 960, it works great. I'd recommend it.
