Isa-Chu
Because this man is literally my favourite composer of all times and I adore his New Albion trilogy, but almost nobody knows about his incredible work. Paul Shapera is an english "opera" composer. Why "opera"? Simply because his operas are astounding, different from everything anyone would ever find. All his operas' stories are always interwined, and if not, they exist in the same universe. Fairies, talking animals, alternate dimensions... It's a beautiful mix of the mythical and the logical. The melodies work perfectly with the setting, and the characters are nice and captivating. One of his most successful works was his Steampunk opera "The Dolls Of New Albion", which talks about the McAlistairs and how they changed their entire city because of a young woman's love, and you can listen it here: The Dolls Of New Albion, A Steampunk Opera | Paul Shapera And not satisfied, he made a sequel; the Dieselpunk opera "The New Albion Radio Hour", and talks about New Albion's civil war and how it was stopped by a young burglar lady. You can hear it here: The New Albion Radio Hour, A Dieselpunk Opera | Paul Shapera He finished the trilogy with the Atompunk opera "The New Albion Guide to Analogue Consciousness", where a distressed girl has to rescue her beloved one, (and this is by far my favourite one, and the most complicated one as well.) and you can listen to it here: An Atompunk Opera, The New Albion Guide To Analogue Consciousness (The Complete Album) | Paul Shapera And of course, he beautifully closed the New Albion Arc with a bonus soundtrack; "The Room Beneath New Albion", which talks about a young albino girl, a redheaded gangster and angels. It completes the story with a complex but gorgeous paradox, and you can listen to it here: The Room Beneath New Albion | Paul Shapera What do you guys think about Paul Shapera and his works?
