My Final Question until V8 New Starter

That's a pretty broad question. Eevee has like 8 evolutions where as ralts has 2. Both of Ralts evolutions are amazing but Eevee's depend on the rest of your team. What do you need for your team? If you need bulk then umbreon is a pretty good choice. If you need offense Gallade or Leafeon can be good. But for the most part the two mons don't fill the same roles.

If your looking for a psychic type early game, you could always go for an Espurr or a Woobat. Both can be gained before the first gym. Also, I'm not one hundred percent sure, but there is a chance that soft resetting doesn't work for the jack pot starters. This may be wrong, but from what I heard, a number is generated at the start of the game which dictates if you even have a chance of getting one. I'm not one hundred percent sure on that, but it would kind of work like your trainer ID for the lottery.

If you want a early psychic type, woobat and espurr is there.

Also Gardevoir>Espeon

Better level up moveset, easier evolving and doesn't rely only on it's own type move from level up moveset.

Espeon have better offensivie moves, speed and ability. But that's only it. Gardevoir is better in everything else. Only TM that is viable for espeon is kinda shadow ball, which gardevoir can too.

Gardevoir over Espeon.

Whichever one you get first.

Espeon is great and can help a lot (once you get some decent moves on it). If you do use it make sure to make it very happy early in order to evolve it before if loses some good moves.

Gardevoir is also great if you can get it.

It is generated when you take a starter from the machine.

Alright, I did some further research, and this is correct. I personally would recommend picking up both an Espurr and a Woobat, as they will animate the first gym.
