At the unexpected tap, Symphony jumped, forcing her to immediately initiate a complicated juggling act to keep her handheld from dropping on the floor. After several seconds of this, she swiped the phone out of the air and stowed it in a side compartment. She looked around and spotted Freya leaving the room.

"Ah! 'Kaaaaaay!"

She nimbly jumped off the bar stool and grabbed hold of Heavensea's hand, attempting to pull her along with the shout of "Let us venture forth, Heaven-chan! Into a world of money and idols!!!!!"

"Heh. Smooth save, Reggi." Mira chuckled after listening to her brother's attempt to save face after what others took as an insult. But now, it seemed it was time for action. The captain had declared that they should simply wing it. Unfortunately for Mira, that was the type of job she hated. Zero calculation, zero strategy, just going on instinct. Though, something like that would probably be better suited for her brother anyways. With that, Mira swiftly got off the chair and grabbed at her brother's neck. "Come on, it's time to go."

Reggi wasn't surprised that Mira knew he didn't mean any of what he said after all shes been around him for along time. Just as he would be the only one to catch a bit of annoyance on his sister's face after all this type of job was definitely not her area, but that what made them great partners since they could cover for each other weaknesses.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm moving." He said as he stopped his sister's hand from completely grabbing his neck and stood up. "Well hopefully all the missions won't be like this." he sighed as he fallowed everyone in leaving the room.

Millennium waited a bit for everyone else to leave the room, then walked out, heading to the Hangar to rendezvous with Blackseed so they could finish up modifications and get going. As they went, he pressed a tiny button on the side of his neck just below the jawline, activating his personal comlink with Blackseed. By this point, he'd swapped the Voice-Synthesis Algorithm back to the original one that he'd had active.

"Blackseed, it's time to meet the Field Commander for the Mission before we head out. Finish up with what you're doing, we're on our way now."

"Roger that, Miles." the woman's hand releases the grip on the singular earring nestling in her left earlobe, letting her hand slack to her side. All systems nominal, it seems. BLACK FOX was ready for combat.

She also took the liberty of snooping around and quickly checking out the other mechs; She didn't fiddle with any of them, instead just peering about spotting what weaponry they had, taking wild guesses at their specializations, and most importantly, looking for particularly obvious weakspots.

After taking her set of mental notes, she returned to her mech until Millenium's message arrived. Blackseed wiped her hand clear of the grime that came with mech's repair, and steadied herself to wait for everyone's approach, giving one last push into a final panel on the ANGEL's backside, making the power armor dispensor compartment reel back into the ship with a satisfying mechanical whirr.

Freya opened the door to the army, and lead the group inside. "Well uh. Here you are. This is the hangar, engineering bay your mechs are kept here, we have six other hangars, two others keeping the mechs of the other mercenary team and our secondary ships." There is a very nervous tone to her voice, and she's tapping her foot. "The field commander should be here any minute he's very hard to miss. Uh and you know. I think I'm going to leave. Farewell!" Mid sentence she was already running.

Within seconds, the distinct sound of power armor against the hangar's steel floor rang loud through the hangar. From the other side of the hangar, a large man slowly walked towards the group. His armor was colored blue, with black trims. The chest, arms, and legs sported several scratches and battle wounds. The helmet had a very distinct scratch in the paint, probably from a shot straight to the forehead. When the man arrived near the group, his helmet retracted into the armor revealing a brown haired man, with two scars through his cheek. He was definitely in his thirties, but the way he carried himself and the scars on his slightly tanned skin made him look much older.

"So y'all are the ones huh?!" He spends a good five seconds looking at each member of the group, mentally judging each. "I'm John Kyle, but you will call me Commander Kyle. I will be leading y'all down in this mission. I'll help you with this one to show how we do things around 'ere." The helmet of his armor surrounds his face again, as he goes over to a small ship. It looks very retro, with jet engines on the sides and wings reminiscent of old Terran airships. The back of the ship is open, the insides looking more spacious than it should. "The drop ship is over 'ere, pick up any weapons and armor you want to take with you. Let's go y'all are wasting"

It was difficult to maintain a graceful, measured stride when one was nearly pulled off one's feet by an excitable Nienian girl, but the Michi still gave her best effort. Her margin of success was questionable at best, but in the end it didn't matter, as she was still being dragged for by someone shouting at the top of their. . . well, Symphony didn't have lungs, but the point remained.

Once they reached the hangar, Commander Kyle spoke and Heavensea nodded at the man's introduction. He seemed like he would be somewhat easier to get along with than the others she had met so far. "I just need to grab one thing," she said in response to Kyle's last statement, and hurried over to the mech she helped pilot. She scaled the ladder propped up against its back and dialed in a quick combination on a panel that seemed to blend with the rest of the exoskeleton until her fingers touched it, which caused a small door to pop out from the body and slide sideways, revealing a storage area. She reached in and carefully withdrew a naginata from the compartment, moving it slowly until it was entirely free of the container, then quickly climbed back downward. She gave the weapon a couple experimental slashes and twirls, then sighed to herself. "The balance is still a bit off, but it should be fine for this mission."

Heavensea proceeded into the ship, taking a seat near the back of the space inside. She rested the naginata against the bulkhead behind her, then folded her hands in her lap.

Blackseed nonchalantly moves inside the dropship, carrying nothing within her person along.

"Miles, I assume you're also good to go?" she mentions to the bot, tapping him in the shoulder as she walks past.

"Do we get to choose different landing spots?" she quips at the Commander, peering straight into his eyes as she asks. Her voice is monotone, almost bored.

After his answer - whatever it was - she walks inside the ship and sits directly opposite of the other Michi, crossing her legs and her arms as she does so.

She appraises the wannabe princess with a quiet gaze, her eyes resting at her weapon. After she eyes the ancient-looking weapon for a moment, she releases a small scoff and a condescending smirk, eyes locking with the woman's, shifting her arms just enough so the flickering light of the dropship would reflect enough out of the metallic edges that adorned her fingertips.

Should the woman notice, she'd also realize Blackseed to have tightened the muscles on her left forearm, causing the tattoo of a jet-black panther's head that rested there bulge somewhat, giving it an odd contour of ragged muscle and salient veins.

Heavensea held Blackseed's gaze steadily. The other woman's actions confused her, if only as to the motivation behind them. The display was obviously meant to cow Heavensea, what with the showing off of the weapon that Blackseed's body had been transformed into, but to what end? They were allies, after all - a test of strength? Regardless, the onetime miko was unmoved. She was perfectly capable of defending herself - that, at least, she was confident in.

"You know, I've always found it fascinating; many things an animal might do to make itself more look intimidating are actually signs of fear, to the enlightened observer." She said this matter-of-factly, as if she were simply striking up a normal conversation.

Millennium shook his head and spoke in response to Blackseed's question to him.

"I am not yet fully equipped, but that will be remedied soon."

Millennium then walked over to BLACK FOX, and then twisted a dial on the foot of the mech three times, stopping at different locations each time. An interface panel on the mech's foot popped out after a smaller panel covering it slid upwards, and Millennium plugged a cable that was attached to it into the back of his head. Soon after that, another section of the Mech's foot swung open like a door, revealing his set of Heavy Power Armor behind it. Millennium then detached the cable from his head and stepped into his Power Armor, which connected to the Port and then closed around his body, visor lighting up just after it closed. Now controlling the Power Armor like a larger body, he took the small surface-to-surface Missile Launcher module from where it laid on the rack and attached it to his forearm, closed the door-like panel, and then pressed a button next to it, hiding the Interface Port once more. Then, he walked to the Spaceship, the heavy clunk of metal on metal audible as he moved. Once there, he walked in and sat down next to Blackseed.

"'Kaaaaay~"

Symphony tottered over to her GUARDIAN, lifting its heavy cloth skirt and touching a panel on its outer right thigh. With an explosion of sound and pop music that reverberated throughout the hanger, the panel slid open and revealed a hidden compartment, its interior painted a baby blue. From within, she grabbed and removed a large white microphone stand, its height ending just below her neck. Closing the panel, she ran off to join her partner in the dropship, microphone stand in hand.

Stepping through the doors, the first thing she noticed was that the interior was dreadfully dull. Not nearly enough bright flashy colours. The second thing she noticed was the tense atmosphere which seemed to permeate the air. She frowned a bit, then decided to pay it no mind, throwing herself into the seat next to Heavensea, balancing the microphone stand on her knees and squeezing the Michi girl in a tight hug, nuzzling against her arm, one metal hand playing with her friend's pointy ear, rubbing and stroking it gently.

Just as the commander mentally judged her, Mira reciprocated and mentally judged him. At the very least, he did not seem as distant as the Captain. That was definitely a neutral sign. He just seemed to be acting like the rough, battle-hardened commander so Mira did not mind him.

She made her way over towards ANGEL-Artemis and opened its cockpit to take out the red power armor sitting in a compartment behind her seat in the mech. After donning the armor with the white rabbit emblem, she took out the folded Friuli Spear and pistol and kept it on her armor for easy access. With the armor fully ready, she closed the cockpit and waited for her dear big brother to be ready so she could follow after him.

Reggi matched the commanders gaze with a sly smile for the five seconds they judged each other. this was a commander who Reggi liked one who wanted to get things done and over with a similar sentiment that Reggi had.

He watched as everyone grabbed their equipment most was a stander array well except the microphone stand and he couldn't figure why someone would bring a missile launcher into caves he was definitely going to avoid stand near that one. He waited until his sister was finished gearing up before he took his armor and shotgun out of the chest he keep it in next to the GUARDIAN-Artemis. He put on his armor which was a lot lighter built then his sister and checked the bayonet of his gun to make sure it was fitted right before slinging over his shoulder with the harness. The pulled the last bit of equipment out of the chest a .44 handgun and put it into a side holster attached to the armor. He also grabbed a few spar clips of ammo for each gun.

He nodded to Mira as he begun to walk over to the drop ship at a pace so she could catch up and walk beside him if she wanted.

"Easily angered, aren'tcha?" Blackseed coos. "What a cute little kitten." The woman continues examining Heavensea with a calculated smile, peering into the woman's eyes - Her tone is like that of someone trying to conceal a smile.

When the androids enter, Blackseed returns to being silent, not responding to whatever it was Heavensea would do in reaction to her. Instead, she glances to Millenium, inquisitively.

Blackseed touches the earring attached to her left earlobe and starts speaking normally - The others would realize that no sound would come out of her mouth, however. Millenium would hear the sound from his own communication channel instead;

"You're going in power armor? I didn't think you'd feel the need; I'm not taking mine.

The rocket launcher might be overdoing it, though, Miles." She smiles at her companion, raising her eyebrows slightly at the weapon.

Millennium replied to Blackseed by simply telling the truth, touching a button on the side of his helmet to reply.

"Don't worry, I'll be using non-explosive rounds unless the situation makes explosions absolutely necessary. After all, it's not really for the best to use explosives in a confined space."

Millennium then set his Power Armor's visor to the Echolocation setting, since he knew that visual methods would be a poor choice in a smoke-filled environment. Since this setting used infrasound to gather information, the only other one in the area that could possibly hear the sound would be Symphony. However, it would be detectable by any of them if they were sensitive to low frequencies.

Heavensea's response to Blackseed was interrupted by Symphony's hug, a small "oh" escaping instead. "Observant" might not be one of the girl's qualities, but that obliviousness seemed to make her good at defusing tension - or, at the very least, distracted the Michi from whatever might be causing it. Heavensea patted the idol-to-be with the arm that was currently being nuzzled, then returned her attention to Blackseed. Clearing her throat, she spoke again. "I'm simply confused. Going through the effort to intimidate or antagonize someone you will soon have at your back in combat seems . . . ill-advised, regardless of your opinion of that particular someone." She was intelligent enough not to respond to the deliberate patronization, however.

"Good, if y'all are ready let's get going." The commander entered the ship, and took a seat near the cockpit. He knocked hard against the metal door. The back door closed, the engines roared to a start, and the ship started moving. The ship actually had no windows to the outside, but from the sounds you could tell the hangar's space doors were being opened. Then complete silence. The ship should be in space. Then, a very very loud noise. Entering the planet's atmosphere. The ship seems to shake terribly, and the air grows hotter. Ash storm?

After a few minutes, the turbulence comes to a halt. The ship's backdoor opens, showing the inside of a cave. The commander gets out first, immediately looking around, searching for enemies. When he confirms the immediate area is safe, he signals for the group to disembark as well. The cave is incredibly tall and wide. It didn't seem hard for the pilot to get the ship into the cave at all. You can see light coming from behind you, the entrance of the cave isn't too far away. Outside, a bright red light is the only thing you can see, sometimes obstructed by black. Heat is everywhere, the very stones of the cave being warm to the touch.

"The pilot landed us in what we believe is the most direct path to the pirate base." The Commander explained as he kept his arms crossed. "From 'ere we make our way on foot. However, we have one small problem." He pointed forward and from his finger a flashlight shone. The light illuminated the dimly lit cave, showing two branching paths. "We have no way of knowing which of these two paths is the correct one. I'm letting you decide, left or right."

"Uwaaaaaah~"

It was hot. Way too hot. Symphony would have started sweating, if she had any sweat glands. Thankfully, Nienians were dispossessed of such organs. It was still hot, though.

The commander had pointed the way forward, but there were two paths.

They knew not what lay at the end of each branch, and they were in unfamiliar, hostile territory with no intel. There was no guarantee that either path even led to the base they sought. Analysing the situation, Symphony concluded that logically, the most prudent course of action would be to search their current area thoroughly for anything which might give a hint at which path to take. Logically, they should gather clues, discuss, and apply reason and elimination to identify which path was correct.

Logically, it was a ridiculously pointless idea to put a mecha in a cloth dress and disguise a weapon as a microphone stand. Screw logic! Idols live for the moment!

Without a second thought, Symphony backslung her microphone stand over her shoulder and dashed straight into the right-side tunnel.

The moment Reggi stepped out of the ship he regretted wearing his armor. Even the thermal shielding only made it slightly bearable. He looked over at his sister she wasn't faring that well either probably even worst off them him given her heavier armor, but that was the least of their worries.

After all not knowing which path to take was much worst. Reggi did his best to look for anything that would show the right path. The best he could make out in the dim light was maybe some wearing of the ground down one of the paths though the other had just as good signs too. He looked over at his sister to see if she had any ideas since he was about to just flip a coin and call it good, but the fates had other plans as the Nienian Idol girl just bolted down the right path.

"Well Commander it looks like we're taking the right path." he gestured to the girl running down the tunnel. "That is unless you all want to split up in unknown tunnels that always works out good. You coming Mira we shouldn't let her get to far with out any back up." he said as he fallowed the Nienian. He spoke as he passed Heavensea "You should get moving too little one."

Heavensea ignored the jibe as she was already sprinting down the tunnel after Symphony, her naginata held in one hand. Her bulky clothing didn't seem to impede her motion at all as she ran. "Symphony, please slow down!" she implored between breaths. That girl is going to get us both killed..! But she's made it this far. The heat was oppressive, and she was grateful that her outfit was a bit cooler than it looked. She only wished that the shield belt about her waist - activated before she disembarked - was just slightly better at keeping the environment out.

Calling this planet barbecue was an accurate statement. While it was definitely a place most people would hesitate to go into, Mira questioned the efficacy of hiding out in such an unbearable location. Even her power armor could only insulate so much before its effects were negligible. Mira could liken the heat in her armor to that of a hot summer day. No matter what happened, she was sure that once she got into a more bearable climate, she would definitely find a way to get some ice cream into her system.

She watched as her older brother ran into the path on the right. On one hand, she would rather see half of the group going in one path and half going in the other path. On the other hand, her brother had a better knack for being more instinctual. "Coming, Reggi." She called out as she followed behind her dear older brother.

Blackseed simply shook her head as the others left.

"I've no interest in risking my life or my mission on a fool's notion. Miles, go with the others on the right path. I'll take the left one. Worst case scenario, we only suffer one casualty."

With that said, the former PANTHER starts to pace calmly through the left path, her feline eyes peering through the darkness of the cave with ease .She was confident, at least, that if something springed up on her, she'd see it coming.

If she did meet the pirates, that was better for her. The others were noisy, clunky, loud. She'd do much better on her own, being able to move through the shadows at her own pace without having to worry about their constant fumbling about.

If she did meet a dead end or some sort of trap, then she was also confident on her ability to escape it should she not have to worry about anyone else losing their life. Either way, she did trust Millenium, and knew that if all else failed, at least he could finish this mock-mission, and their own mission after it.

Millennium shook his head, then spoke to Blackseed through their Personal Comlink, pressing the side of his helmet to do so.

"All right, but be sure to keep in touch with me for as long as possible."

He then walked down the right-hand tunnel, the infrasonic sonar being used by his helmet allowing him to see very well, even in the dark conditions of the tunnels. As they went further down into the crust of the young planet, he noticed that his Thermal Sensors were registering slowly increasing temperatures, but he wasn't bothered by it all that much because he was a Nienian, much like Symphony. The fact that his Power Armor had a Thermal Regulator in it made the intense heat that much more bearable for him, much like Mira's Thermal Regulator did for her.

Blackseed

The cave, was a cave like one would expect. Until you spot a small metal cargo box. Afterwards, a wooden barrel. Slowly, wires start appearing on the walls of the cave. It starts becoming more and more clear that this cave path is used by human beings. On the top of the ceiling a few lights begin to show up, illuminating the place. This is definetly a long standing hideout. They've had time to set up lighting, and store so many crates. The cave widens to a square like room. The middle of the room is very well lit, shining almost like a spotlight on a large Flame Yousei standing in the middle. The Yousei is tall enough to challenge even your own height, his horns leaving him a few centimeters taller. Muscles he does not lack, his red skin bulging with power. However, he is bleeding from his arms. And breathing very heavily. He takes a few more breaths, and shouts up at the ceiling, roaring in pain. Or maybe, anger? Frustration? His arms hold a canon-like device, the barrel glowing with pink energy. It looks quite heavy, but the Yousei is holding it with ease. Whatever it is, it's clearly a weapon, and clearly dangerous.

The man seems completely unaware of your presence, probably due to all of the cargo crates in the room blocking his vision.

"A bit dangerous to go alone don't ya think?" Kyle walked behind Blackseed as silently as he could. However, silent for a man in power armor is not very silent at all. "I don't think he's seen us yet." Reaching to the back of his armor, a rifle dropped from a back compartment. It looked reminiscent of old winchester repeater rifles, but instead of being made of wood it was made of metal painted to look like wood. "How do you go about this? That scary face of yours might be enough to get him to drop his weapon and surrender."

Rest Of The Party

The path the party followed was dark, but somehow seemed to get slightly cooler. Soon your feet start stepping on metal, instead of the stone cave floor. Soon afterwards the cave's walls start becoming the same metal on the floor. Then it becomes complete illuminated a bit ahead, with lamps on the ceiling and red lights flashing on the walls. You soon reach a metal wall, with a pair of elevator doors in the middle. However, the floor here was sticky. On closer inspection, the stickiness turns out to be a pool of blood. Following the pool of blood leads to a body, a human slumped against the wall. A knife is lodged into her neck. The victim, a woman, had her arm on the knife's hilt as if she was trying to pull it out. On the opposite side of the room, another body lies dead against the wall this time with stab wounds all over the stomach. The corpse was of a male Snow Yousei, blood staining pure white skin.

Running ahead of the group, the first thing Symphony noticed was that the floor was awfully sticky. From the texture and colour, it seemed to be blood. She frowned. Why would people just leave blood on the floor like that? That was highly inconsiderate. Now she'd have to wash off her feet. Good thing she was waterproof.

Her eyes traced the pool of blood to its origin, seeing the female corpse on the ground, knife sticking out of her neck at an awkward angle. Tilting her head, she wondered briefly how this person had died.

...oh well.

Paying it no mind, she walked up to the elevator and started pushing every button she could find. At least one of them had to open the thing, right?
