Pokemon Rejuvenation Viability Rankings 3.0 [Community WIP]

Lord Chespin

Recommended Posts

Well, Chubb's no longer working on the old Viability Rankings thread, so I figured that since no one else was stepping up to make one, I would lay greedy hands on that honor. So, yeah. Remember to read the Rules!

Here are the Rank Definitions and rules, ripped straight from the old thread:

Definitions Of Each Rank:
S Rank: These Pokemon are extremely useful in every or most battles and rarely find themselves outclassed. They almost always have a lot to contribute during the tougher battles. These Pokemon are incredible.
A Rank: These Pokemon are very good in most battles, but may struggle a bit with a few others. Nevertheless, they are still capable of holding their own in these. These Pokemon are great.
B Rank: These Pokemon are above average and help in a lot of battles, but there are times when they find themselves unable to do much in a few parts of the game. These Pokemon are above average.
C Rank: These Pokemon may help in certain battles, but fail at doing much in others, or they may be only useful for the beginning of the game. These Pokemon are average.
D Rank: These Pokemon have poor strength. They have little niche in the game and should not be used unless you seriously have no options left. These Pokemon are below average, but they may have some strange use, such as being able to use many HMs.
E Rank: These Pokemon should never be used.

Information For Contributors:
If you want something ranked, you must include:
- What rank you are nominating it for, preferably at the beginning of your post.
- What useful moves it can learn (italicize Shadow moves) or useful Abilities it can have (nothing illegal), and it would be nice to note which are used by breeding. Items are unnecessary, but if you'd like to name one for a specific reason, go for it.
- When it is obtainable (as in, "Available before Gym 1" or "Available before Gym 3"). Also mention if it's a limited event (so you can only get one of multiple Pokemon from the event, like choosing a starter), or if the event is particularly difficult (like Litwick's Event).
- What battles / parts of the game it is useful for.
- (Optional) Extra Usage: HMs? Sweet Scent? etc.
- It must be available in the current version of the game! NO AXED POKEMON. Click here to make sure a Pokemon is available.

If your post has all this information, it will be added to this one. You will be given credit for it, naturally. However, if not, then it will be edited or ignored.
Keep in mind that you may choose to state your argument on why a Pokemon should be reranked higher or lower. I usually won't move analyses unless somebody says to and gives a good reason.

Also, Reservations. Can't forget about those. If you want to reserve something, just ask!

So... yeah. I think that's about it. Happy ranking!

A+ Rank
036MS.pngClefable (by ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Available early (Route 2).

+ Fairy Typing is advantageous against many Gym Battles.

+ Although it doesn't need it, Clefable has a wide compatibility with TMs.

+ Onto the main course, Cosmic Power + Stored Power is simply overpowered in almost all of the fights that it could be used in.

+ The combo above is usable by the Third Gym.

+ Relivable recovery through Moonlight.

+ Cleffa begins with high Base Happiness and Moon Stones are farm-able off of Lunatone.

+ Can change Terrain with Misty Terrain.

+ Immune to Status Moves due to Magic Guard.

- Moonblast is learned at Level 46.

- Below average Stats without Cosmic Power.

- Bad at setting up against Saki and Venam.

655MS.pngDelphox (by Biboo)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Available before Venam.

+ Awesome moveset : Shadow Ball (relearn)/Flamethrower/Psychic/Psyshock/Fire Blast/Will-O-Wisp/Mystical Fire/Light Screen, Wish/Heat Wave/Hypnosis/Magic Coat (egg moves), Grass Knot/Magma Drift (by TM)

+ Fast with base 104 Speed.

+ Highest base Special Attack of all fully evolved starter Pokémon, disregarding Mega Evolutions. (quote from Bulbapedia)

+ Decent stat all around. Can tank special hits with 100 base Sp.Def and Light Screen.

+ Great for a bunch of leaders : Venam, Keta, Crawli, Angie.

+ Its good moves come somewhat early, with Psyshock at 34 and Flamethrower at 42.

+ Can fill the roles of supporting (with Will-O-Wisp/Wish/Light Screen) or a special attacker for the team.

+ Magician can help you steal wild Pokemon's items permanently or screw a Trainer's Pokemon that likes its Item. Blaze is okay, but it only works on Fire moves and at low health, which isn't too great.

- Available only as starter in v6.

- It has to compete with Blaziken and Infernape for that Fire slot starter of your team. Infernape simply has more Speed, and Blaziken has that Speed Boost. Still, it's a special attacker, which is different from these two physical Pokemon.

282MS.pngGardevoir (By ShadowStar, Embellished by Darvan Korematsu)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Available before Gym 1, Venam, if you're lucky.
- Available only by Jackpot, so if you don't get it, available before Gym 8 in a pretty difficult event.
+ A great Special Attack and Defense, and a decent Speed, with a nice special movepool: Moonblast (Relearn), Misty Terrain (Relearn), Calm Mind, Psychic, TM Shadow Ball, TM Grass Knot, TM Charge Beam, Hidden Power (preferably Fighting), Destiny Bond (Breed), Disable (Breed), Draining Kiss, Stored Power
+ Trace is very good for copying Abilities such as Adaptability, Sheer Force, and _____ Absorb. Telepathy is useful as well for dodging allies moves during Double Battles such as Surf, Earthquake, Sludge Wave, and Magma Drift.
+ Double-Edged sword against Venam (Psychic against Poison, Poison against Fairy) and Marianette (Fairy is buffed, Physical Attackers hurt), and simply just good against Keta, Valerie and Amber (if you Trace correctly), and Angie, for walling Cold Truths.
+ Teleport is quite useful, especially on Terajuma, but it's also pretty broken.
+ Resists Shadow moves.
+ Outstanding versus the new Gym Leader in Version 7 due to Moonblast.
+ Even before moonblast, Clam Mind + Draining Kiss makes it an amazing special tank
- Weak against Narcissa and Crawli.
- Bad Defense.
- Gardevoirite isn't going to be available for a while, most likely.

  Reveal hidden contents
286MS.pngBreloom (by ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Obtainable before Gym #4 (Mystery Egg) or before Gym #6 (Special Tree @ Akora Forest).
+ Extremely useful in the "Legendary Battles"
+ Nice Attack and decent Speed, plus the Ability Technician to boost some worse moves, so it can use plenty of moves: Spore, Mach Punch, Force Palm, Sky Uppercut, Seed Bomb, Bullet Seed (Breed), Bulk Up ™, Drain Punch (Breed), Headbutt, TM Rock Smash'
+ Spore is extremely useful for many battles.
+ Bullet Seed is boosted to obscene levels with Technician and a Rose Incense
- Extremely frail.
- Some of Breloom's best moves are available only by Relearning, Breeding, or waiting for Shroomish to learn them. (HOWEVER, the level cap allows Shrooomish to get Spore before Narcissa)
- Either available by luck somewhat early or for certain later on. If you get the latter, you won't be able to use Breloom on Narcissa or Valerie.

652MS.pngChesnaught (by Lord Chespin)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Highest base Defense of all non-legendary Fighting-types and all non-Mega starter Pokemon (actual quote from Bulbapedia), and a good physical attack, too.

+ Great movepool with setup moves in Belly Drum or Bulk Up; defensive moves in Spiky Shield, Pain Split, and Leech Seed; and offensive moves in Seed Bomb, Wood Hammer, Hammer Arm, Stacking Shot, Body Slam, and Dig.

+ Amazing ability in bulletproof, allowing it to shrug off attacks like Shadow Ball, Bullet Seed (eat it, Marianette's Cinccino!) and Sludge Bomb, among others.

+ Available as a starter Pokemon (as Chespin), and can be fully evolved before Marianette's Gym (with a reverse candy, of course).

+ Helps greatly in the first battle with Keta (field-boosted Needle Arm), Marianette, and, surprisingly, Angie (Stacking Shot gives it power and speed if it can survive long enough).

- Has the most weaknesses of any starter (also quote from Bulbapedia).

- Pretty squishy Special Defense, undermining its great Defense and allowing Venam, Narcissa, Valerie, and Amber to get the better of it.

- Available only as a starter, so there's the opportunity cost of other, possibly better starters (ex. Blaziken, Delphox, Greninja, etc.) if you choose it.

342MS.pngCrawdaunt (by ShadowStar)

  Reveal hidden contents

660MS.pngDiggersby (by ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Available before Gym 1, Venam, in a trade for a Pokemon relatively easy to find.
+ Facade and Take Down are very strong.
+ Huge Power is amazing. That Attack will be raised to 112, which is great with Diggersbytho's physical movepool. You could use Cheek Pouch + Oran Berry, but Sitrus Berries (which we can't get, I think) are much better and the Attack stat is much lowered.
+ Speaking of good stats, Diggersby's speed is also great.
+ It can get Earthquake, Quick Attack, Frustration, Facade, Hammer Arm, Stacking Shot, Bounce, Super Fang, Agility, Swords Dance, and Spikes (Breed)
+ Amber is easy to beat, plus Valerie and Angie's Pokemon can be revenge killed when weakened. Narcissa's Doublade which is usually a very bulky menace can also be taken out.
+ If you want, Diggersby can join the Pick-Up Squad.
- No TM Return :c
- TBH, Diggersby is only good when you get Earthquake. It's decent for Venam, but for other battles like Keta, there's not much that can be done. Although, Take Down is very stong...

612MS.pngHaxorus (by Zargerth)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Obtainable as a starter, if you're lucky or patient enough with the jackpot machine

+ Axew learns Dragon Rage at level 10. That early on Dragon Rage is deadly, OHKO's most other lvl 10+ 'mons. Not to mention it can 2HKO pretty much anything a bit later on as well, making Dragon Rage very effective for the first two gyms

+ Dragon-typing leaves few weaknesses, so you're not getting hit by super-effective moves very often

+ Learns both Dragon Claw and Dragon Dance early as well (lvl 28-32), so you can just replace Dragon Rage at this point

+ High Attack stat, combined with good Speed and aforementioned moves means Haxorus will at least hit hard if setting up and sweeping isn't possible (which it can do in many cases, like against Crawli for example)

- Evolves quite late, going by the level caps you still have Axew versus Marianette

- There aren't that many moves you can teach it via TMs

- Requires patience or luck to obtain

462MS.pngMagnezone (by ShadowStar and Xiri)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Magneton has the decent Abilities of Sturdy and Analytic. Analytic for more offense, but Sturdy for making sure you can live at least two hits.
+ 120 Special Attack. You'll do well with Charge Beam, Discharge, Flash Cannon, Metal Sound, Thunder Wave, Hidden Power
+ It's useful for most bosses and Angie!
+ Nice versus the new Gym Leader in Version 7 due to the Field Effect.
+ Magnet Rise is really good in conjunction with Sturdy or prediction with Analytic.
- Besides Electric moves and Steel moves and your random Hidden Power, there's nothing else special that Magneton gets.
- It's available just before Crawli (which is pretty late in-game), by a Help Center Quest.

+135 Special Attack, 105 Special Defense, 100 Speed

+Access To the best setup move in all Pokemon bar shell smash, quiver dance

+Can learn fiery dance, bug buzz, and heat wave through Relearn, Fiery-Dance has a 50% chance to boost special attack when used and is 80/100, bug buzz is a reliable bug-type STAB, and heat wave is a more powerful fire-type STAB

+1 Q-Dance Grants Volcarona the potential to Sweep any and everything put in-front of her, Bar Kyogre And Groudon

+Can possibly use silver-wind to RNG roll a 6 stat 1-stage boost, making her even more powerful

+Can Get a good recovery move in morning sun through Breeding

-Very Very Very Late Evolution

-Can't deal with rock types

-Kind of dead weight in Amber's Gym

-God-awful defenses

A- Rank
609MS.pngChandelure (By The Anti-Fern, Embellished by Shing and Chubb)
  Reveal hidden contents
+Base 145 Special Attack, That's the one of the highest if not the highest attack stat of any available Pokemon currently in rejuvenation
+Ghost Type for normal and fighting
+80/90/90 defensively, not super frail unless fighting ghost, water, rock, ground, or dark type, which won't be super common for the next little bit after getting it
+Decent speed, but not as fast as many other fire-types (ex. Infernape and Delphox)
+RIP Crawli
+Gets Flashfire RIP Amber
+ Can break Angie's field or utilize the boost from ghost-type attacks it gets from said field
+Decent movepool as a Lampent and from TMs, including hidden power, will-o-wisp, flame burst, memento, shadow ball, pain split, magma drift, and overheat
-Only obtainable After The Blacksteeple Event
-To get it, you have to get past a very, very hard boss
-Not all too useful for next upcoming Gym
-Requires Dusk Stone, which there are only two of
- You'll have to keep Chandelure as a Lampent for a while to get some good moves.

695MS.pngHeliolisk (by ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents
272MS.pngLudicolo (by ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Available semi-early. (Before Narcissa)

+ Absolute BEAST in the Rain

+ Access to Nature Power which helps in many Boss Battle.

+ Mist allows Ludicolo to transform the Field into Misty Terrain.

+ Giga Drain is easily breed-able.

+ Naturally learns Hydro Pump.

+ Crawli's "Rain" actually helps.

+ Grass/Water Typing nets Ludicolo many useful resists.

+ Due to the point that is is ontainable, you could get throgh all of Lombre's moveset with a little help from Reverse Candies.

- Pretty limited move-pool but its enough to work with.

- Requires Rain to be at its best.

- Below average Special Attack and Speed in the absence of Rain, however, Ludicolo's strong moves counter this.

229MS.pngHoundoom (by TheWaddleDee)

  Reveal hidden contents
376MS.pngMetagross (by The Anti-Fern, Embellished by Chubb)
  Reveal hidden contents

+135 Base Attack :)

+Defense is 80/130/90; very physically Tanky, and he's part steel, so he has many resistances

+Decent movepool, like Bullet Punch For priority

+Clear Body Is useful for mons with intimidate and the like

-Slow Base 70 speed, however he does get agility, but it uses a valuable move slot

-Steel was nerfed in gen 6 so he is now weak to dark and ghost

-Bullet Punch + Zen headbut + Meteor Mash + Hammer Arm/ Something else is basically the only moveset, because despite having a good learnpool, using special attacks on a metagross is a waste

- Fairly late + a pain to catch + a pain to level up.

429MS.pngMismagmius (by Biboo and ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Available before Gym 1, Venam, as a repeatable event.
+ Levitate is the only choice of Ability, but a Ground Immunity is nice to add on with the Fighting and Normal Immunity. This also means Migmagius is a suitable partner for an Earthquaker in Doubles.
+ A nice special movepool to go along with Mismagius' nice Special Attack and Speed: Shadow Ball, Magical Leaf (Relearn), Power Gem, Mystical Fire (Relearn), Perish Song, Destiny Bond (Breed), Nasty Plot (Breed), Pain Split.
+ A great Special Defense.
+ Useful for Narcissa, if you outspeed. In addition, Perish Song/Destiny Bond can take out some bosses.
+ Nice Speed for OHKOing opponents who are weak to its Moves.
- Terrible Defense and HP...
- You have to get the moves you want on Misdreavus before evolving it, since some moves aren't available due to evolution by stone. In addition, many of Mismagius' offensive moves are available only by relearning.

319MS.pngSharpedo (by The Anti-Fern, embellished by Lord Chespin)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Awesome 120 Attack, and decent 95 Special Attack

+Aqua jet stab priority, Crunch Dark STAB, hydro pump and destiny bond from breeding, and poison fang to troll fairy types

+Speed Boost is insanely useful

+VERY useful in Narcissa's Gym

-Mega isn't implemented yet

-At 70/40/40 Sharpedo is not living unless it's resisted a hit, and even then it's probably losing a lot of health

-Can't deal with Physical Walls

465MS.pngTangrowth (by Tempo17
  Reveal hidden contents

+Really bulky

+Somewhat reliable recovery with Giga Drain

+Great status inducer with sleep/poison powder and stun spore

+status move+irritation TM can do loads of damage

+can sometimes get the scumbag boost off of ancientpower

+regenerator can give it some quick and easy healing in a pinch

-can be really slow

-gets hit really hard by special moves

-no leftovers or assault vest in game

003MS.pngVenusaur (by Biboo)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Available before Venam.

+ Chlorophyll doubles its Speed in Sunny weather, which might be nice for Amber with its Sleep Powder.

+ Nice stats all around.

+ Decent movepool: Giga Drain (Breed), Sleep Powder/Leech Seed/Synthesis, Sludge Bomb TM, Hidden Power Fire TM (if you're lucky with its IVs)

+ It has a great combo of bulkiness and recovery with Giga Drain + Leech Seed + Synthesis

+ Can put stuff to sleep, handy for both battles and catching Pokemon.

+ Between the Grass starters, it's one of the top contenders, seeing as it's simply good throughout the game and doesn't really have a weak stage.

- It doesn't do that much against later gym leaders like Valerie/Crawli/Angie/Amber besides maybe Leech Seed/Poison things until it dies, but it's ok for everything else.

- Its good moves come pretty late. You can only get Giga Drain on it after Marianette, and Sludge Bomb after you get Rock Climb (either by the V5 Scraggy or after Kreiss gives you the HM).

- It can't really touch a Steel or other Poison type Pokemon at all, unless it has a nice Hidden Power type.

- Available only as a starter.

666MS.pngVivillon (by Chubb)

  Reveal hidden contents
B+ Rank
009MS.pngBlastoise (by Milotic)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Available before Gym 1.

+ Rain Dish is very nice if paired with Rain Dance. Plus you can use a Damp Rock for more Rain!
+ An okay-ish movepool, with decent stats all around (especially the Defenses): Rain Dance, Surf/Hydro Pump, Iron Defense, Skull Bash, Aqua Jet (Breed), Aqua Ring (Breed), Dragon Pulse (Breed), Mist (Breed), Fake Out (Breed), Yawn (Breed), Flash Cannon (Relearn)
+ Blastoise has been useful for pretty much every gym, whether it's taking hits, changing the weather, or even going on the offensive. Its bulk and power allows it to do all of these things and it will surely prove to be a powerful team member.
- Available only as a starter.

- No breeding to get some of its other good moves, like Flash Cannon or Aura Sphere, until Pokemon like Clawitzer are available.

- Also, some of its best moves are available only by breeding, so have fun with that.

678MS.pngMeowstic (Male) (By ShadowStar)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Available before Gym 1, Venam
+ Gets the coveted Prankster, which it can make use of with moves like Charm, Misty Terrain, Rain Dance TM, and Yawn (Breed).
+ Prankster + Light Screen + Reflect + Light Clay = Easy surviving.
+ Has a decent Defenses, HP, and Special Attack, so it can also use Psyshock/Psychic as a damaging move.
+ Easily can take out most of Venam and Keta's teams, and its Dual Screens and Misty Terrain will make the other battles much easier.
+ One of the fastest Rain Dance supporters.
- Falls behind after Amber and somewhat before.
- Can't do much offensively besides doing Psyshock/Psychic. In addition, without Miracle Eye, Meowstic can't hit Dark types.
- You'll need to grind up for coins a bit to get Meowstic...
- No Thunder Wave or Toxic - you can only use Yawn. :c

407MS.pngRoserade (by TheWaddleDee)

  Reveal hidden contents

508MS.pngStoutland (by Personthing)
  Reveal hidden contents

+Available right after the first gym.

+Good stats all around, with an impressive attack stat, decent speed, and good overall bulk. Only real lacking stat is special attack, which is doesn't need.

+Joins the party at a very solid level 18 and only needs one level to evolve and get going. Second evolution is also pretty early at level 32.

+Has a good movepool, many of its useful moves come early, such as Take Down, Baby Doll Eyes, Work Up (Starts with), Crunch (Comes at level 24), Facade (immediately after Marianette's gym) and the elemental fangs (Move tutor).

+Has the bulk to set up Work Up on a good chunk of opponents.

+Has a fantastic ability in Intimidate, and Scrappy is also very useful against Narcissa as Crunch is weaker in her gym.

+Intimidate and Baby Doll Eyes allow Stoutland to cripple any physical threat. Did I mention that Baby Doll Eyes has +1 priority?

-Fighting weakness makes Stoutland struggle to be useful against in the first Keta fight (Stountland can very easily set up on Hitmontop by spamming Baby Doll Eyes and then Work Up for a quick sweep in the second Keta battle, if Hawlucha has been dealt with) and in all of the Aelita fights for anything other than a quick Intimidate + Baby Doll Eyes combo.

-Take Down isn't the most reliable move, with having both recoil and a shaky 85% accuracy, and it's only other good STAB option is Facade with only 70 power before STAB unless it's hit with a burn, poison, or paralysis.

-Should you want the coverage that the elemental fangs provide, you have to rely on heart scales.

528MS.pngSwoobat (by TheWaddleDee)

  Reveal hidden contents
584MS.pngVanilluxe (by SansTheSkeleton)
  Reveal hidden contents

+Available before Keta.

+An Ice-type with great Sp. Atk. Learns Blizzard later on; a move that can really help against Zetta and Geara double battle due to fact that it transforms the battlefield. Can also prove useful against Amber if you keep her from taking Vanilluxe down.

+If you have a Heart Scale to spare, Vanilluxe can be taught Freeze-Dry. It's a bit weaker than Ice Beam, but has double the PP, the same freeze chance, and is SE on Water, which can be useful against Valarie.

+Hail can be used to both damage enemy and regenerate HP because of Ice Body. It also makes Blizzard a sure hit.

+Will-O-Wisp is great. While not as potent as Toxic in terms of damage, it halves Attack of Pokemon that don't have Guts or use Facade, helping this piece of Ice survive physical attacks longer.

-It's an Ice-type, so defensively speaking, there are better. 71/85/95 bulk isn't THAT bad, though.

-Most of the moves it learns right now are Ice-type. There's Weather Ball, Flash Cannon and Uproar among the exceptions.

-Relatively slow evolution. By the time you'd get starters to final stage, this thing would just recently evolve to second stage.

-Only available as Shadow Pokemon.

B Rank
087MS.pngDewgong (by Biboo and Shadowstar)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Obtainable before Gym 1, Venam
+ Thick Fat makes Dewgong a bit bulkier, while Hydration is better if you have Rain Dance
+ Decent stats all around, and a decent movepool, as well: Ice Beam, Icicle Spear (Breed), Signal Beam, Surf HM, Aqua Tail, Rest + Sleep Talk (Breed), Aqua Ring, Encore, Subsitute TM, Rain Dance*, Icy Wind, Ice Shard, Aqua Jet, Sheer Cold, Safeguard, Fake Out (Breed), Iron Tail (Breed)
*Probably best if Dewgong didn't use Rain Dance, since it takes away one slot in its moveset.
+ Tanks plenty of hits from Keta to Valerie to Angie to Amber with Rain thanks to Hydration + Rest, and EV training can make Dewgong VERY bulky.
- Falls behind in the damage department rather early compared to others.
- Dewgong can't do very much damage, and we don't have Toxic.
- Stallrein is also a thing, and many prefer to use Stallrein over Dewgong.
- Grinding up coins to get a Seel is hard work...

160MS.pngFeraligatr (by Reverse)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Before Gym 1, Venam.
+ Sheer Force is the best Ability hands down here.
+ Great Attack and Defense!
+ Physical movepool which benefits a lot from its HA : Ice Punch (Breed), Crunch, Dragon Dance (Breed), Aqua Tail, Aqua Jet (Breed), Superpower, Slash, Ice Fang, Shadow Claw TM, Metal Claw (Breed), Agility

+ Evolves earlier than the other starters.
- Doesn't learn a good physical water type move till the level 63, and it's not Waterfall. :c
- Pretty slow.
- Only available as a starter.

- You get good level up moves very late, and you need to breed for some other good ones (i.e. Dragon Dance).

+Intimidate and Sheer Force are amazing abilities

+Sucker Punch makes up for its speed

+naturally learns Iron Head and Play Rough for stab and possible boost with Sheer Force

+Can take physical hits fairly well

-It is slow

-Lacks special defense

-when it isn't in a type favorable matchup it may win but it will tend to live only 1-2 more battles

-no mega currently

-If running intimidate it can have trouble killing

678FMS.pngMeowstic (Female) (by Combat Medic)

+ Can be obtained before Gym One
+ Has type advantage over first two gyms
+ Can have competitive as a hidden ability, which makes it a special attack power house
+ Can learn Shadow Ball, which will annihilate ghost types

+ With a speed nature, can out speed many opponents
- Is terrible defensively, making dark types the bane of their existence
- Requires a lot of time and patience to get (Voltorb Flip)
- Needs to get to level twenty five before learning a decent psychic move

709MS.pngTrevenant (by Zargerth, embellished by wytch_doctor)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ Phantump is obtainable after 4th leader - you need a Gourmet Treat!- (as of version 7, night time only), which can be evolved as soon as you find a Link Heart

+ while Frisk and Natural Cure can help you out, Harvest is the best ability to go with...

+...since you can buy Sitrus Berries, so Trevenant is likely to live long

+ can cripple physical attackers with Will o' Wisp

+ also learns Leech Seed and Horn Leech (heart scale needed), both moves supply Trevenant with HP

+ can learn Phantom Force, which lets it stall for leech seed and will-o-wisp damage and does a great deal of damage coming from its high attack stat

- lackluster speed

- isn't all that bulky

- isn't that versatile

+Obtainable via Sheridan help center quest before the 2nd gym

+Counts as a traded Pokemon, the extra exp boost it gets helps make raising an entire team a bit easier

+Very high attack

+Decent bulk, usually enough to never get OHKO'd by non super effective moves

+Has two fantastic abilities in Scrappy and Iron Fist. (Recommend to get Scrappy for the early game, and change it to Iron Fist once it gets Hammer Arm)

+Very useful against Narcissa

+Utterly dominates Ren

+Has an ok movepool, some notable moves include: Body Slam, Work Up, Parting Shot, Crunch, Hammer Arm, and Poison Sweep

+Has a good offensive type combination

-Very slow

-Its movepool, while being ok is quite lacking until later in the game. Unless you give it the early heart scale move tutor to get Hammer Arm (which other Pokemon on a players team may make better use of), its best fighting type STAB is a choice between Arm Thrust, Karate Chop, and Stacking shot until you can start mining heart scales

-Completely useless in all of the Aelita fights

-Faces stiff competition from Medicham and Hitmonlee (Blaziken and Infernape too, I guess) as all three of them come quite early in the game, with Medicham coming slightly earlier, and Hitmonlee a bit later, and the only real things Pangoro has over them is slightly better overall bulk (Hitmonlee has better special bulk though) and boosted exp from trading

357MS.pngTropius (by Reverse)
  Reveal hidden contents

+Get the abilities Harvest and Chlorophyll.
+Defensive wise his stats aren't bad; 99/83/87 in HP, Defense and Sp.Def. All you need is some Sitrus Berry and you have a Wall.
+You can also make him a Physical Attacker with Dragon Dance(Breeding), Aerial Ace™, Leaf Blade(Breeding), Outrage(Move Tutor), Earthquake™...
+Able to hold his own against Erick's Team but be careful about his Electivire.
+Able to do the wombo combo with the help of Harvest(Sub+Dragon Dance).
-Available only after the 5th gym.
-There is better Grass Types out there.
-Get a total of 5 weaknesses.
-Learn his best moves via Breeding, TM and Move Tutor.
-Low Attack, Sp.Attack and Speed 68/72/51.
-Needs to set up in order to achieve his Final Form.

045MS.pngVileplume (by SansTheSkeleton)
  Reveal hidden contents

+Oddish available before Venam.

+Decent bulk (at final stage, 75HP with 90/95 defenses and not bad typing)

+Learn Sweet Scent right away and Toxic after a few Gyms (35/39)

+Although it doesn't learn that great deal of special moves (Moonblast; Acid and Sludge Bomb; Irritation; draining moves, Petal Dance and SolarBeam), it's still usable thanks to status moves (like powder moves and Toxic). Personally, the time I've finally evolved it at early Terujama, it had Moonlight, Toxic, Giga Drain and Acid (upgraded to Sludge Bomb after Amber when I realized that Sludge Bomb TM is available now); which did prove useful. Toxic reallllly helps wear down some opponents. It probably helped the most against Keta, in both fights. But with Toxic, it was useful for all other Gym Leaders (besides Amber where it just fell flat due to being a Grass-type).

- Stone evolution. You won't get Vileplume until Blacksteeple at best, Terujama at worst.

- Until you get Sludge Bomb, its only offensive Poison-type move is Acid which isn't the best.

- Is one of the very few Grass-types who don't get Leech Seed in any way, so that's a big minus.

- Kinda helpless against Poison- and Steel-types outside of Hidden Power.

C+ Rank
122MS.pngMr. Mime (by Cool Girl)
  Reveal hidden contents

+ You can obtain a Mime Jr. in the Xen Lab during the storyline (while Keta teams up with you to stop Madelis)

+ Good movepool (mostly physical) It learns some good moves for standard play

- Its defenses are very bad, so setting up a reflect/light screen would be good before you start attacking

- It doesn't learn a good Fairy-type move. The only fairy move it learns is Dazzling Gleam. It doesn't even get Moonblast

+ Available before Gym 1, Venam, as a wild Pokemon.
+ Simple is pretty useful for boosting stats, and Unaware is decent for any opponents who try stat raising.
+ Decent movepool: Rollout, Super Fang, Superpower, Surf, etc. actually are some very nice attacks. Yawn is a great status inflicter, as well.
+ Best HM slave, plus Headbutt!
+ A helpful Immunity to Ghost.
- Mediocre stats without using boosting moves, and it's too slow for an evolved Pokemon. Lackluster Attacks and no boosts for Special Attack. You honestly just want to stick to the utility set.
- Many better Water types and Normal types out there.
- Simple is a two way street, due to stat drops.

+ Available before Gym 1, Venam, as a Wild Pokemon.
+ Has Run Away, great for when you don't have any Repels, or Frisk, useful for when you're trying to get wild Pokemon's held items.
+ You can make use of Furret by giving it HMs Rock Smash, Cut, and Surf.
+ Covet + Frisk is a nice combination that sets it aside from every better HM slave, although you do have to breed Covet...
+ Decent Speed and HP, and somewhat decent Attack.
+ Ghost Immunity is nice, although Furret isn't meant to be offensive...
- Defenses and Special Attack kinda suck, so you can't even utilize Furret's huge movepool.
- Kinda sucks for most Gym battles except maybe Venam and Narcissa (but even then, there are better Normal Pokemon like Raticate...)

457MS.pngLumineon (by Chubb)
  Reveal hidden contents
+ Swift Swim is decent for Rain Dance support.
+ Surf, Aqua Ring, and Silver Wind are handy moves.
+ Available before Venam.
+ Pure water type means only two weaknesses.
+ One of the earliest Pokemon to learn Rain Dance. This is the only reason to consider Lumineon, and the only reason why it's not E Rank.
- After Marianette, there's a lot more better Water types.
- Lumineon's stats aren't the best; the only one standing out is Speed.
- No good TMs or Tutors like Tailwind for Lumineon. Many of its decent moves come from breeding, in addition.
- Absolutely terrible late game, especially because...
- The TM for Rain Dance is available, so every Water type and support Pokemon outclasses it (i.e. Greninja, Ludicolo, Meowstic).

- Its only move is Hidden Power.

- Why would you use this thing when you can use so much better Psychic types like Swoobat, Meowstic, and Xatu, all available around the same time???

- tl;dr don't use, just grind mixed attackers on.

Exploud A to A+ Rank

+ Obtain a Whismur in Route 1 (where you follow Melia at the beginning of the story) and eventually level it up until it evolves into Exploud.

+ It can learn Boomburst, which is a incredible move with 140 power and 100% accuracy

+ It has the hidden ability Scrappy (which you can just use a ability capsule to switch its abilities if needed), which will make its powerful normal moves hit ghosts types.

+ Equipping it with a Life Orb/Normal Scarf or a item of your choice, plus Exploud having the Scrappy will make it a super ago pokémon

+ Can be a very useful pokémon to have on your team if you're looking for a aggro pokémon

+ Me, personally, I reached Exploud surf on my team, but you can teach it other good moves like Fire Blast, Overheat...

- Can't really take hits

- At the beginning, it's not a very good pokémon, but once it's fully evolved, it's a beast!

This is fairly similar to the one I had before but a little touched up~

Also I guess I'll reserve Bibarel or something. Should still be the same as before, but I'll touch it up again.

P.S. I wasn't very strict with rankings 2.0, since there weren't as many people playing Rejuv / interested in posting rankings, but perhaps if there's more people posting things saying that this Pokemon should be moved up/down or ranking things too high/low, you could always make it more discussion-based~

Oh, and might want to get rid of that S-Rank before the by Chubb part next to Blaziken~

Zumi's already merged them into one post~

For future reference, you can always edit your posts to add another analysis.

Anyway, um. Swablu is in Sheridan Village, we can't get Outrage or Sky Attack yet, and I'd also mention Perish Song, as that's part of what makes Altaria such a useful Pokemon.

Flaws here in the weakness.

I disagree with less usefulness. Only thing i think chandelure will have problem with usefulness is against current leader.

Other leaders is actually really good. Even angie because chandelure have flame burst, which destroys the field.

Actually chandelure have really decent to good. From the pre evolution, it gets: Confuse ray, will o wisp, flame burst, memento(useful based on situastion in the battle), shadow ball(which destroys your tm thing there).

For fully, pain split is a pretty smart move. Much bettter relearn instead of full evolve.

It gets overheat as tm from amber fyi which is very useful for the hecka 145 sp.atk.

Also hidden power is a thing, which is already useful for chandelure.

Breeding it's only heat wave so is useful.

Dusk stone can be find on 4th gym story time which is before even getting the pokemon itself.

For the advantage i agree expect being fast. Many other fire pokemon is faster than chandelure's speed is decent at best.

If i would rank it myself, it would be A- or A.

Got Another One

Metagross For A-

(There is a shadow beldum somewhere in the sheridan wastelands, but i don't know how to get it, its probably hell, like in Reborn)

+135 Base Attack :)

+Defence Is 80/130/90 Very Physically Tanky And He is Part Steel

+Decent Learn Moves Like Bullet Punch For priority

+Clear Body Is useful for mons with intimidate and the like

-Slow Base 70 speed, however he does get agility, 1 agility = 2X speed so, 1 agility = base 140, however it uses a valuable a move slot

-Steel was nerfed in gen 6 so he is now weak to dark and ghost

-Bullet Punch + Zen headbut + Meteor Mash + Hammer Arm/ Something else is basicly the only moveset Because despite having a good learnpool, using special attacks on a metagross is a waste

Also, can you copy and paste Arcanine and crawdant onto the list, cause you forgot them, when copy/pasting from the viability V2

Sharpedo For A-

+120 Attack :)

+Aqua jet stab priority, Crunch Dark Stab, Eventually waterfall for pure damage stab and poison fang to troll fairy types

+Speed Boost

+VERY useful in Natasia (Ghost Gym)

+Mega Grants Insane Stats and Strong Jaw for Ubsurd damage

-Mega isn't implemented yet (mega-sharpedo isn't the best, we might get it before the postgame)

-At 70/40/40 Sharpedo is not living unless its resisted

-Can't deal with Physical Walls

Shedinja at C+

+Wonderguard Best Ability in the entire existence of Pokemon, hands down (no one better say sheer force or huge power or magic

guard is better)

+Shadow Sneak Priority And X-Scissor Stab, hone claws for powerup

+Can Litterally Invalidate Certain Battles Example *Kyogre*

-1 HP

-Many Weaknesses

-Common Weaknesses

-Low Speed

Slaking For B+

+Greater Stats then most legendaries And Pseudo-Legends at 670 base stat total, Slacking is a fucking MONSTER

+160 Base Attack, like, are you serious, THAT FUCKING INSANE

+100 base Speed, with the name slak, in your name, your really fucking fast

+Decent Learnset

+Reliable Recovery

+Defense Is 150/100/65, Like, jesus christ

+Body Slam through breeding = RIP everyone, also slash for RIP Crits

+Tutor moves are Insane, Gunk shot, Elemental punches

-Worst ability in all of Pokemon, Truant (you can't act every second turn)

+Yet because of truant, when we get giga-Impast (RIP Life) there is no drawback to using it as you would wait a turn anyway

-Can't handle special attack all too well, but gets amnesia

Gardevoir For A

+Psychic/Fairy Is Great Type

+gets calm mind by level up

+Very specially bulky

+Gets moonblast through relearn

-Psychic covers is Poison Weakness

-Not the fastest

-Rekt by shadow sneak

-Steel = Ded Gardevoir

Beloom For B

+Technician

+120 base attack

+Mach Punch And Spore By level Up

+Mach punch + Stab + technician Boost

+Decent Learn-set

+Poison Heal Is a ability and he has access to leach seed if you want a stall bulk Breloom

-Slow at base 70

-infarct most other stats are lackluster

Weavile For A-

+base 120 Attack And 125 speed

+Priority in Ice Shard, Icicle Crash for damage

-Not sure if you can evolve Sneasel yet

-no tutor yet, no knock off

Volcarona For A++ (Not Quite S, but still insanely good)

+135 Special Attack, 105 Special Defense, 100 Speed

+Access To Best setup move in all Pokemon bar shell-smash, Quiver dance

+Can learn Fiery-Dance And Q-Dance through Relearn, Fiery-Dance has a 50% chance too boost special attack when used and is 80/100 and Q-Dance Boosts Speed, Special Attack, And Special Defense By 1 every time its used

+Bug Buzz For Bug Stab

+1 Q-Dance Grants Volcarona the potential to Sweep any and everything put in-front of her, Bar Kyogre And Groudon (But you wont have a Volcarona at those points in the game)

+Pokemon Incarnation of the god whom controls the sun

+Enemies run in fear when she is released apon the world

+Relative power can be summed up with this Song ((

) Remove this if video links are not allowed)

+Can possibly use silver-wind to RNG roll a 6 stat 1-stage boost, essentially make her even more godlike

+Can Get Recovery Move through Breeding

-Very Very Very Late Evolution

-Can't deal with rock types

-Probably Will not help in amber's gym if you got her by then

Alright. So here is an updated list of every Pokemon I have had experience with in Pokeamon Rejvenation and were already ranked. I've updated the analysis' and will give credit to the original posters as well. Also, may I please reserve Ludicolo and/or Heliolisk?

VERSION 7 SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING

  Reveal hidden contents

Also, Typhlosion may be a candidate for A+ due to how good Eruption is on Intense Mode due to early accessablity and its fast speed to use it. Cheeses one of the hardest battles in the game imo. (Zetta and Geara)

Crawdaunt (A) (By Me)

+ Great Attack, plus some nice moves: Aqua Jet, Crabhammer (plus Splash Plate or Mystic Water), Swords Dance, Knock Off, Crunch, Superpower (Breed)

+ Aqua Jet is extremely useful and will save you in Intense.

+ Adaptability powers-up Crawdaunt's STABs. This nets many OHKOs/2HKOs that wold otherwise not occur. Really, all you need are STABs.

+ Obtainable right after the 4th Gym, Narcissa, by fishing/

+ Great for Valerie (the Field does not affect it), Crawli (Rain is up), Angie (Can easily defeat many of her Pokemon, being more physically oriented), and Amber (duh), especially if you can get some Swords Dances up. Basically, great for every major battle.

- Struggles greatly versus the new Gym Leader in Version 7.

- Low speed and defenses. EV Training would be best.

(-) Crawdaunt doesn't get so many moves. At least it doesn't need them!

Magnezone (A) (By Xiri & Me)

+ Magneton has the decent Abilities of Sturdy and Analytic. Analytic for more offense, but Sturdy for making sure you can live at least two hits.

+ 120 Special Attack. You'll do well with Charge Beam, Discharge, Flash Cannon, Metal Sound, Thunder Wave, Hidden Power

+ It's useful for most bosses and Angie!

+ Nice versus the ne Gym Leader in Version 7 due to the Field Effect.

Nidoqueen and Nidoking (A) (By Bloo & Me)

+ Both available before Gym 1, wild, with a Moon Stone available before Gym 2.

+ The King has very nice offense, the Queen has very nice bulk. Choose either.

+ Hustle is a very nice Ability boosting that Attack, which later becomes Sheer Force, which boosts a couple moves on both. Poison Point can be useful, but is less used due to so much chance.

+ The King has: Megahorn, Thrash, Chip Away, Earth Power, Beat Up (Breed), Head Smash (Breed), Iron Tail (Breed), Poison Tail (Breed), Sucker Punch (Breed), Surf TM, Poison Sweep TM, Sludge Bomb TM, Toxic Spikes, Poison Jab, Sludge Wave TM, whereas the Queen has many of these moves but switches Megahorn with Superpower. Sucker Punch for Skull Bash, Head Smash for Charm, and Pursuit.

+ Venam can be taken down with Hustle, and Toxic Spikes can help with basically everything else. In addition, Superpower on Queen works nicely against Angie, and both the King and the Queen are useful against Marianette and Amber's teams.

+ These two are probably the best counters to the new Gym Leader in Version 7.

- A lack of moves, really. No Ice Beam, Flamethrower, or Thunderbolt. No elemental punches. No Stealth Rocks or Super Fang. Shadow Ball makes a decent substitute for now.

Diggersby (A) (By Biboo & Me)

(-) TBH, Diggersby is only good when you get Earthquake. It's decent for Venam, but for other battles like Keta, there's not much that can be done. Although, Take Down is very stong...

Gardevoir (A) (By Me)

- Weak against Narcissa and Crawli.

- Bad Defense.

- Gardevoirite isn't going to be available for a while, most likely.

Meowstic-Male (B+ / A-) (By Biboo & Me)

Mismagius (A- / A) (By Biboo & Me)

+ Available before Gym 1, Venam, as a repeatable event.

+ Levitate is the only choice of Ability, but a Ground Immunity is nice to add on with the Fighting and Normal Immunity. This also means Migmagius is a suitable partner for an Earthquaker in Doubles.

+ A nice special movepool to go along with Mismagius' nice Special Attack and Speed: Shadow Ball, Magical Leaf (Relearn), Power Gem. Mystical Fire (Relearn), Perish Song, Destiny Bond (Breed), Nasty Plot (Breed), Pain Split.

+ A great Special Defense.

+ Useful for Narcissa, if you outspeed, and Valerie, since you aren't affected by her Field.

Breloom (A) (By Me)

Dewgong ( B ) (By Biboo & Me)

Mr. Mime C to C+ Rank

Also, I forgot to add something about Exploud. Here's what I wanted to add:

- At the beginning, it's not a strong pokémon, but once it's fully evolved, it's a beast!

I felt like adding more to and editing analyses.

Also, I'm not too sure on Altaria being so high up, as its offensive stats aren't so great, and its offensive movepool is only Hidden Power, Dragon STAB, Flying STAB, and Moonblast...
